I've been watching Jules for years now and his genuine well-wishes at the end of each of his videos warms my heart every time. I appreciate you - don't ever stop! 😃👍
It really does. The Pandemic-Era “Sect of caring Jules” gets more and more crowded by the day, but the people caring wears masks when they have the cold or flu. So it’s tolerated.
Right up there with Cody showing up talking about boars on Extra Credits and VLDL showing up in brain blaze, seeing VLDL pop up here let's me know that I've truly found my people.. and we all have the same Playlist
I have met the revelers like maybe 3 or 4 times they are not that rare they are relatively common and the only reason I don't bump into them more often is because I use the fast travel and carriages to get around quicker
I actually found Zelda's golden horse before I even knew there was a quest for it. I randomly found it on the snowy mountains, and was so happy I got a "shiny", so I hurried back to register it, only to be told that "that's the horse that ran away! talk to X and tell her you found it!" (X being the woman who gives the NPC, which I obviously can't remember the name of).
4:12 there should have been a different entry for dark souls. There's an enemy that appears when another player dies with a ton of souls. It has a variant that's even rarer too. I've put in 1000s of hours into dark souls and only seen 1
I use to run into the Skyrim revelers so often that I always carried Honningbrew mead with me at all times as those amulets sell for a good bit of early gold. Ha ha
In RDR, the Jackalope actually found me…when I was in the middle of a cutscene. It just hopped into the foreground out of nowhere, and by the time the cutscene was over, I looked everywhere, but it was gone. SO frustrated.
I had a very rare skeleton horse spawn....i had been basically living in a geode that was sitting on the ocean floor, far from any land, and somehow had skeleton horses with riders spawn....super strange seeing them all underwater huddled next to the geode. 😂
The only thing about the WoW one, that's usable in water realms. I remember the Time-Lost Proto-Drake from The Storm Peaks in Northrend. Spent months hunting that turd. Finally got'em. Luckily I played as a paladin, so I could whack him a few times and bubble to survive the fall. I know a lot of mages used featherfall as well. Or, you had to keep tracking it until it got to that Nord village that was lower to the ground and take the risk of those other players who didn''t have a method to survive a ridiculously long fall. Ah good times... miss those days.
Legit first time I played Minecraft I got mobbed by the skeleton horses and had to stay in my mud cube for days until they left. Thought they’d be a common occurrence after that
I remember the first time I encountered a skeleton horse, it was in a shared world with two friends. One of them died sadly, but I was able to keep three of them alive. I named my one Boney M
Theres also a hidden npc vendor inside a very dangerous dungeon in Final Fantasy 12, he sells some very good spells that u can get only there and also is the only vendor that trades in Ethers
It is implied that the merchants in Castlevania II are inside instead of out on the streets because they cannot sell their specific wares out in the open. This is why all of them are dressed as shadowy figures where you can’t see their faces. The ones behind breakable walls/floors deal in particularly shady products, at least from the perspective of Transylvania.
I always hated the scribe, that guy show up EVRYTIME at the beginning of the game multiple times, then, when i finally made a settlement with enough people for make him join, he's just... gone..
I dunno know if this really counts, but... You can kind of do this a couple of times in Age of Empires II. There are a few campaign missions where there are some useful random units/buildings tucked away in the far dark corners of the scenario map.
Came here looking to either find or write this comment! Him or the guy that gives you "Fireball" one of the best spells in the game, and it's hidden behind some random fake wall with no hints that you can walk through it!
In Dragon Age Origins there is a rare random encounter called Strange Wood where a bunch of very odd villagers stand around making weird conversation as you retrieve the magical Axameter axe from a tree stump 😸
I think that Epona is the best horse in the game, as she has the best stats and is very tame. The only way to get her is by scanning in an Amiibo. The Golden Horse is just need for a Sidequest.
There was the michael mamarill(?) Kid in borderlands two who was a fan that passed before the game released. He would give you a rare weapon when you see him in sanctuary. Edit: im now seeing a few others have commented this. Great minds think alike i guess
How rare are the golden shell yokai in Nioh? I forget the name of them but they run away and need to be killed before disappearing or are gone for good. But give great rewards.
i'm a bit sad michael mamarii from borderlands 2 isn't on the list, not only is it a cute tribute to a fan he also gives you an epic rarity gun and an achievement should you manage to find him in sanctuary.
But the horse in BoTW and ToTK is a guaranteed spawn at their locations. Their quests also aren't hidden or difficult to find. Feels like the odd one out of the list you know?
Never got most of these, mainly because I didn't play mist the games they are related to, but the Jackalope just kinda spawned in front of me when the time was right(had completed the previous requirements)...
I don't get why you call Moblins rare. There are a bunch of places where they are hidden at. Same with the merchants on Simon's Quest. A waste of two spots on this list.
Thunderstorms aren't that rare but encountering the skeleton horsemen definitely is, and it's not even the only rare thunderstorm mob - The Charged Creeper can spawn if lightning strikes a creeper.
Hey, after 10 years of DLC and some degree of bugfixes, Fallout 4 is actually a pretty dang good game now. Skyrim too. Which leads to my new rule of Bethesda games: Wait 10 years, and then it will be good. >_
Never knew, wow still finding shity things out about fallout 4! My character hasn't been playable in years due to glitches even with the new updates/downdates!

VLDL!!

We need more Juleseseses in the world.

VLDL cameo in a WhatCulture video that is epic ive been dying for you guys to do some little skit together

Yeah I loved seeing vldl on brain blaze
What title is the Extra Credit & Brain Blaze video? I really can’t find them (to report the illegal wholesomeness).
Props for the @vivaladirtleague cameo!
What that the guy from Avatar?
@@bubmernot only the guy from avatar, but the other guy from avatar also
love the shout out to VLDV.
Great reference to viva la dirt league in the intro

That bear clip from Skyrim killed me😂

That santa at the beginning, lol. "Shhh, no witnesses"
I remember that video, the bit right at the end was a huge shock
Jules, are you a fan of VLDL?
Chester is always near the pig king in the autumn biome

Kinda surprised final fantasy 12’s hidden merchant isn’t on this list
You mean that guy in the Necrohol of Nabudis?
Thanks for the outro, Jules!
Legit first time I played Minecraft I got mobbed by the skeleton horses and had to stay in my mud cube for days until they left. Thought they’d be a common occurrence after that
Wait the revelers are rare? I've seen them a bunch. Didn't know about the amulet though.
I remember the first time I encountered a skeleton horse, it was in a shared world with two friends. One of them died sadly, but I was able to keep three of them alive. I named my one Boney M
6:30 Given how rare Nightmare Fuel is...
Sounds like someone doesn't play Don't Starve that often.

You talking about the one in the Necrohol of Nabudis?
@@civilwildman Yep 😁
At least until they nerfed him in Zodiac Age.
@@Cadugaming, found him in the Zodiac Age remaster. Helped me fill out my amount of white magic spells with the Esunaga spell.

Only my mother and probably a doctor or whatever heard me. I... probably screamed? I don't remember. I was born at the time.

I accidentally found it after the quest was given
I always hated the scribe, that guy show up EVRYTIME at the beginning of the game multiple times, then, when i finally made a settlement with enough people for make him join, he's just... gone..
My dad found #8 back in the day. It's his favorite game of all time. That's his reward for being so curious. 😁

I didn't realize how lucky I was in RDR. The Jackalope was the first animal I killed.
Can my fellow pirates join me in shouting THE SHROUDED GHOST!
Let the old man tell war storys: the guy in secret of evermore in the desert who gives you the bee attack spell 😉

@@PrototypeSpaceMonkey yes that one I found on pure coincidence 😂
Finding The Scribe in FO4 was not as hard as getting him to your Settlement alive...
Love the viva la dirt league Jules
I didn't realize the revelers were so rare. I actually got them in three playthroughs in a row.
They really aren't rare, unless you fast travel all over the place
In Dragon Age Origins there is a rare random encounter called Strange Wood where a bunch of very odd villagers stand around making weird conversation as you retrieve the magical Axameter axe from a tree stump 😸
The Golden horse isn't "rare" per se, as you mentioned, they literally tell you where it is.
I think that Epona is the best horse in the game, as she has the best stats and is very tame. The only way to get her is by scanning in an Amiibo. The Golden Horse is just need for a Sidequest.
I found the jackalope on accident hunting rabbits in the early game. I was barely out of the opening area.
There was the michael mamarill(?) Kid in borderlands two who was a fan that passed before the game released. He would give you a rare weapon when you see him in sanctuary.
Edit: im now seeing a few others have commented this. Great minds think alike i guess
10:47 I found the jackalope Everytime I do the lasso mission
I was so confused when you mentioned number 2.
Was it really that rare to encounter?
How rare are the golden shell yokai in Nioh? I forget the name of them but they run away and need to be killed before disappearing or are gone for good. But give great rewards.
i'm a bit sad michael mamarii from borderlands 2 isn't on the list, not only is it a cute tribute to a fan he also gives you an epic rarity gun and an achievement should you manage to find him in sanctuary.
Ah I just commented this and then I saw you said It first
Idk about Poseidus. I think the Time-Lost Proto Drake is much harder to get than this.
VLDL! That's awesome!
But the horse in BoTW and ToTK is a guaranteed spawn at their locations. Their quests also aren't hidden or difficult to find. Feels like the odd one out of the list you know?
Agreed. Sure, it's "rare" in the sense there is only one. But it's very easy to find whether you're looking for it or not
I felt like I was always running into the Revellers though!? Lol
Unless they were the ones I probably just remember the most
Never got most of these, mainly because I didn't play mist the games they are related to, but the Jackalope just kinda spawned in front of me when the time was right(had completed the previous requirements)...
Almost 1200 hours in fallout 4 and ive never seen the scribe
I don't get why you call Moblins rare. There are a bunch of places where they are hidden at. Same with the merchants on Simon's Quest. A waste of two spots on this list.
Are thunderstorms rare in minecraft? My last few worlds i seem to start in areas with frequent thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms aren't that rare but encountering the skeleton horsemen definitely is, and it's not even the only rare thunderstorm mob - The Charged Creeper can spawn if lightning strikes a creeper.
Jules your a scholar and a gentleman keep it up
And not necessarily in that order
I 100% completed Red Dead Redemption and I honestly don’t remember ever finding a jackalope.
Perhaps you did not 100% the game like you thought 🫣
Hey, after 10 years of DLC and some degree of bugfixes, Fallout 4 is actually a pretty dang good game now. Skyrim too.
Which leads to my new rule of Bethesda games: Wait 10 years, and then it will be good. >_
Michael Mamaril from Borderlands 2 didn't make this list? Really?
Exactly what I came in to say. Might have skipped him because his rewards are random, not unique. But there is an achievement...
Tribute to a Vault Hunter indeed.
I'm not sure the golden horse or jackalope count as NPCs.
What about Hades in FFIX?
Golden horse rare? Hard to find? I spotted it a hang gliding a mile away, glowing like the sun in the middle of a snowfield
the crystal lizards are easy to kill! dont run after then, instead, just stay where you spot them, save and reload. they will respaw!
Never knew, wow still finding shity things out about fallout 4! My character hasn't been playable in years due to glitches even with the new updates/downdates!
haha Viva La Dirt League 😀
been watching them for years :-D
So, is Jules still with WC, or has he gone to that other mob, or what? It’s starting to feel like Ash all over again…
The Gold horse for ToTK is not hard or that rare. Maybe if you just plow though the main story but still not hard to get.
Is it really rare if every copy of the game has the thing?
The revelers are not "extremely rare", i wouldn't say that they are rare either like i'm sure i've found them like 4 times with just 1 character wtf
