Once you've gathered the Heartstones, go to the 'empty' house that will eventually have a mage who can combine them into a key to the endgame. Despite not doing the 5 other questlines that would allow him to be there, the game incorrectly flags him as being there, giving you the key to the end, meaning you have 4 mini dungeons, and one big one to finish. The game can be beaten in about 15 minutes thanks to this.

Using glitches/exploits and cheating are entirely different things, and shouldn't be treated as synonymous terms. Cheating involves making changes to the coding of the game yourself in order to give yourself an unfair advantage. Glitches and exploits are simply taking advantage of oversights in game design or unanticipated consequences of existing elements. These are freely available to everyone equally though some might take more skill than others, but this is no different to intentional complex mechanics in a game. It's like the difference between tax evasion and tax avoidance.

Using an exploit is like buying a product that has been accidentally reduced in price / mislabelled in a shop before the shop has the chance to realise their mistake (in this context, before the devs can patch it out). Cheating is going into the store with fake reduced price labels and putting them on the products yourself. Both have the same end result, but the latter involves you actively doing something dishonest to create the advantage.

It is an exploit that exists due to an oversight in the game's programming that allows the technique to be performed. That's wildly different to hacking the game so that your damage meter never moves or so that your attacks instantly KO any opponents regardless of damage.
When I first played two worlds I did this exact same thing but the dark boss never lost health. He killed the entire village and I got op loot before starting the game. I thought he just couldn't be killed or was an important npc so couldn't die. Idk
Backwards Longjump glitch was patched out in Super Mario 3D All-Stars. So if you’re playing Super Mario 64 on 3D All-Stars, then no Jess, you can’t beat the game in a matter of minutes.

have you seen some of the things people do for speedrunning? speedrunners have played through a game the way it was intended, they then play it way more to learn the exact timings/angles and that for how to get through specific parts the quickest. its not just that they're trying to only finish one playthrough as quick as they can and then be done with the game forever. they can spend hours practising the same small part of a game
Most people really only speed run games they personally love lol. And then they spend far more time with the game than a casual player can even fathom. I've seen a speedrunner spend 100 hours just playing through a meme category run for hollow knight.
I'm not sure if this was a glitch but I once played a PlayStation game. I was on an early level & dropped the controller on the console nothing broke. I looked up at the screen & it said Iv completed the game then the end credits came up & went to the menu & everything was unlocked and completed at 100%.
