I just don't listen to those people. The Last Person i knew somehow convinced me that attack on titan doesn't have a Plot and only is some Action trash. One day i gave it a try myself, since i thankfully always prefered to build my own opinion by giving things a chance. So, i liked it pretty much, and didn't understand why somebody would say that there isn't any plot. She always told me that she watched AoT so i just wanted to talk about what was so bad for her. She literally watched AoT. The First episode and nothing more. Wtf?

I just immediately think they are most likely elitist snobs and give it a try. Nine times out of ten it’s no where even remotely close to as bad as they said and I usually find some enjoyment in the show.
When a game becomes a job to learn how to play you really have to consider if it's worth playing. For some folks that's exactly what they want, maybe they already have an unfullfilling job and the game hits all the right notes for them. For others it's just more stress. I think the same is true for anime, if you have to actively force yourself to watch something and you're not having fun or interested in it then maybe it's not the right show for you right now. Maybe it's something you need a few years of perspective to come back to. I remember back in the day when I first saw Code Geass I couldn't stand Lelouch in the first episode and just instantly dropped it. Then I picked it up again a year or two later and realised, I just needed to get my head around the novel idea that the main character isn't necessarily a likeable one. And the rest of the show was just an absolute blast when I got through it. It was a big moment for little me. Now it's probably my favourite show in existence, just for that one moment of clarity revealing that characters don't have to be relateable to be enjoyable. I even became more comfortable with the idea of watching shows with weird and peculiar protagonists or antagonists that were absolutely nothing like anyone I would want to talk to IRL but in that show they were perfect.

It is very good, I have not watched it completely due to certain frame of mind requirements (it has very fast-talking characters and consequently, extremely quick subs). Honestly, sometimes it just feels good to turn your brain off and watch a bad show. If you only watch good shows your expectations get way too high and I found that watching something mediocre for once actually makes you appreciate actually good anime even more.

this was me finishing magi, it felt like they ended it sort of like hunter x hunter with a whole new world to be explored only to cut you off from the realm of possibilities that the anime/manga couldve gone, at least it wasnt half assed as hunter x hunter's ending though

I realized a while ago that I may have trash taste. In both anime and video games. I love all the "good" one but I also love a lot of the ones presumed to be bad. Honestly, I don't care. Just accept it and take joy in what you enjoy.
When I was a teenager I spent a lot more time watching basically anything that was at least bit entertaining like Fairy tail, bleach and I don't even bloody remember what else. Then I had like a solid 4 year long period where I didn't watch any anime at all and nowadays I'm someone who doesn't really enjoy anime as a whole but I mostly just use your channel as a way to find those few shows that I do enjoy and when I enjoy an anime it's always something exceptional. The shows I've watched in my entire life that I would still call excellent can be counted with just my fingers and out of those I can only remember Ancient magus bride,Evangelion,Berserk,One punch man ''only seen season 1'' and konosuba off the top of my head and I found two of those just thanks to your channel. So as someone who has really selective taste it's really,really nice to hear people talk so openly about simply liking trash and not even giving a fuck. I don't understand why anyone would be ashamed of liking something,regardless of how ''bad'' it is. And you know what,I think I'll just give some of these bland Isekai's a chance and see if I could find at least a giggle or two from watching them.
the biggest problem i've found myself having with anime anymore is that i don't like watching stuff weekly. i like to binge watch it all at once after it finishes airing and that just doesn't work like it used to before this seasonal stuff. nobody talk about old anime anymore, it's just the currently airing stuff. i never hear anything about finished anime to watch and as such just never really watch anything anymore. it's a vicious cycle that just kinda feeds into itself honestly.
The most important thing is to be okay, happy with yourself; I know most people will talk and write about aired anime, but still you can find out some ppl trying to discuss non-aired anime; maybe in youtube's comments section, maybe in myanimelist or a page like it, or fb groups/pages where ppl are commenting what anime they like, what pjs they love and more. I watch both aired and non-aired anime, and I use those "zones" to share my thoughts and love from anime
I don't like waiting for things to come out and just binge things as well. The way I solved the nobody talks about old anime anymore problem is mostly just watching things my friends are watching or my friends tell me I should watch.

Which FMA? There's the original season that had to go off script because they ran out of source material and the remake season that followed the script. There's also the movie which honestly has some cool sci-fi shit.

It's probably been two years for me. What helped me slowly get back to enjoying it is exactly what gigguk said, maybe watch something else/older. Hulu and netflix and some of the dubs like Gundam Wing, allowed me to ease back without the overwhelming wave of a watchlist of FOMO

I have a ton of shows on my "Plan to Watch List" on MAL, and it increases every month or so. Yet it takes a single RUclips clip of an anime I've never heard about or never had any interest to make me binge the whole thing in the next days or week. Cliche only exists because it works, and when used correctly it can be very effective. No matter how many times I see the "power of friendship" showing up in every damn shonen ever, I still get my eyes wet when I see a good scene using this trope. Searching for the things you think you like in any media narrows your vision, blocking the stuff you might really enjoy if you just went and tested them yourself.

Gigguk, I saw this video the second it released last year, and I noticed the same thing when I rewatched it now as I did back then, you have not been fully open about your thoughts on Sword Art Online. By this point, the final part of Alicization, WoU 2 has come out and the itch I've been feeling this past few years has gotten so much worse. That itch being, "Why hasn't any big ani-tuber giving this new season a chance and properly make a video about it?" SAO has grown into so much more, beyond all recognition from its last seasons. It brought upon such an amazing feeling to the point it doubled my love for it as a whole. And that's saying something, coming from a person who watched SAO Season 1 back then just to shit on it. Despite all the negative feedback and the tropes, the "Questionable" scenes, its still something worth talking about. It will sooner or later impact anime as it has almost a decade ago, seriously. SAO's image was bad before, but it shouldn't stay that way. Storytelling evolves as time goes on, then so will SAO. You know this. Please, consider making a video about it.

Then they started playing Naruto and Bleach on the cartoon network, and I decided that Anime was no longer for me, and I just didn't look back... until I did, and dove straight into the trash that I loved, as well as the classics. Because I have been feeling it since the last few years in the medium of not just Anime but like you mentioned in Films, TV-Shows, Cartoons, Video Games, Music too and bcoz of that overwhelming feeling of too many things to keep up with it. I was seeing the stuff that I wanted to watch less and less and instead was going for a more easier and predictable route. So after seeing this video, I felt a sense of relief. That I wasn't the only one who feels this way. Just like you now I have also accepted that I can never keep up with everything good out there, in any medium and have again just started watching the things that I want to watch on my own pace like I used to do back in 2015-16 during my High School Days. When I was a teenager I spent a lot more time watching basically anything that was at least bit entertaining like Fairy tail, bleach and I don't even bloody remember what else. Then I had like a solid 4 year long period where I didn't watch any anime at all and nowadays I'm someone who doesn't really enjoy anime as a whole but I mostly just use your channel as a way to find those few shows that I do enjoy and when I enjoy an anime it's always something exceptional. The shows I've watched in my entire life that I would still call excellent can be counted with just my fingers and out of those I can only remember Ancient magus bride,Evangelion,Berserk,One punch man ''only seen season 1'' and konosuba off the top of my head and I found two of those just thanks to your channel.

the biggest problem i've found myself having with anime anymore is that i don't like watching stuff weekly. i like to binge watch it all at once after it finishes airing and that just doesn't work like it used to before this seasonal stuff. nobody talk about old anime anymore, it's just the currently airing stuff. i never hear anything about finished anime to watch and as such just never really watch anything anymore. it's a vicious cycle that just kinda feeds into itself honestly.

I watch both aired and non-aired anime, and I use those "zones" to share my thoughts and love from anime

I have a ton of shows on my "Plan to Watch List" on MAL, and it increases every month or so. Yet it takes a single RUclips clip of an anime I've never heard about or never had any interest to make me binge the whole thing in the next days or week.
Cliche only exists because it works, and when used correctly it can be very effective. No matter how many times I see the "power of friendship" showing up in every damn shonen ever, I still get my eyes wet when I see a good scene using this trope.

Gigguk, I saw this video the second it released last year, and I noticed the same thing when I rewatched it now as I did back then, you have not been fully open about your thoughts on Sword Art Online.
By this point, the final part of Alicization, WoU 2 has come out and the itch I've been feeling this past few years has gotten so much worse. That itch being, "Why hasn't any big ani-tuber giving this new season a chance and properly make a video about it?"
SAO has grown into so much more, beyond all recognition from its last seasons. It brought upon such an amazing feeling to the point it doubled my love for it as a whole. And that's saying something, coming from a person who watched SAO Season 1 back then just to shit on it.
Despite all the negative feedback and the tropes, the "Questionable" scenes, its still something worth talking about. It will sooner or later impact anime as it has almost a decade ago, seriously.
SAO's image was bad before, but it shouldn't stay that way. Storytelling evolves as time goes on, then so will SAO. You know this.

I also haven't watched FMA, and for much the same reason. I got into Anime in the 90s, and there were several times I thought I was going to run out. Then they started playing Naruto and Bleach on the cartoon network, and I decided that Anime was no longer for me, and I just didn't look back... until I did, and dove straight into the trash that I loved, as well as the classics. I don't know whether you care, but watching your videos makes me feel like I've still got a link to the old days and my old friends, the ones who I've lost contact with. Keep doing what you're doing. Because I have been feeling it since the last few years in the medium of not just Anime but like you mentioned in Films, TV-Shows, Cartoons, Video Games, Music too and bcoz of that overwhelming feeling of too many things to keep up with it. I was seeing the stuff that I wanted to watch less and less and instead was going for a more easier and predictable route. So after seeing this video, I felt a sense of relief. That I wasn't the only one who feels this way. Just like you now I have also accepted that I can never keep up with everything good out there, in any medium and have again just started watching the things that I want to watch on my own pace like I used to do back in 2015-16 during my High School Days. I find it hard to understand why a person would want to create something bad on purpose. It just doesnt make sense. For now the anime I loathe the most are rosario vampire and dimension w. I get being inept but these two shows left me with a splitting headache.
