@@bengawalk Thank you - the topography map is just awesome - if we had these maps back in the day, we wd be very careful in selecting the locality where we wanted to buy sites. clicking on a point and learning its elevation is just phenom thanks!

Nah! Indian politics is so dirty it might ruin his mind, spiritualism.... His overall existence. It would be better for any right thinking citizen to stay away from any form of things that are related to politics.

THIS! This is the kind of education people need when living in a city. The more people know about the city and are involved in it, the more they feel like stakeholders and demand for better and protect what already exists. You hit the nail on the head, active participation is what is going to elevate our public spaces and allow access to everyone. Keep up the great work team!

Really enjoyed watching the video and learning about the history and geography of Bengaluru... But I must say this, the lake where you were when the video started, it is one of the most smelliest and the most dirtiest lake I have ever seen. Raw sewage flows directly into the lake from various nearby localities. The smell gets especially bad during the morning and evening hours and people have basically made the area around one of its entry gate a dumpyard. It's really sad seeing all of this and I cannot do anything but feel helpless. Hopefully the future will be better for these lost treasures of Bengaluru.

The very reason we need to develop lakes and even very small new lakes is because they act as how a Voltage-regulator/Stabilizer works in order to prevent the spillage of electricity...
    Like if...
the water in a suburban area can be prevented from overflow spilling out from drainage onto the road...with lakes...because the water level in a lake which has a good water containing capacity changes its level accordingly based the rainfall and water that flows from within its surroundings into the lake...
And these Should Definitely be connected to other lakes like a chain...which results in Minimising the damage that rainfall creates on the roads and drainages...which ultimately benifits the neighbourhood and the people.

This is so damn amazing and informative. Who knew all these information right ! these kinda educational documentary regarding their own cities should be played in schools and educational institutions to educate the students about the current state of their city. Great job to the team with the research because I am sure it would have taken so much time to curate all these content for this documentary. Hope to see more and more Informative videos like this about bangalore. Thank you For this amazing work. @Bengawalk

With the establishment of the outer ring road lots of the lakes were encroached and land grabbed. The outer ring road from silk board to k r puram used to be water bodies on both sides. From the corner of sarjapur road junction one used to see flights taking off at the hal airport in 2004-2006 now more apartments and it parks have come up reducing visibility as the crow files.

Sir i can understand you have done fantastic survey and given a detailed report in a very simple language,
We as a responsible citizens should try to know more about our surroundings and care about them voluntarily, if time comes and time permits we must educate people and at times we have to fight for our rights and fight against the offenders, we must attend ward committee meetings of BBMP Which happens every 1st and 3 rd Saturday at ur wards and fight for our rights, i am being an social worker and president of an Residential association i am doing my part,
