I have a Telugu friend from college. She has been the most warmest and kindest person I have known in my entire life. I remember going to her place and her mother used to feed me like her own daughter. And they never discriminated even though I am a North Indian. They treated me like family more than my own extended family. I love Telugu people, Telugu language and their humble nature. They are also very proud of Sanatana Dharma, national pride and they respect our culture. And this itself makes a lot of us want to watch Telugu cinema, learn Telugu language and eat tasty foods from the region. Telugu language deserves the respect.

@@Anu27906 National Archive here in NL. During the Raj, indentured contracts were created in which place of origin such as districts and village names, family names and caste are mentioned.
Most Indendentured Indians from South Indian were sent to other British colonies but Nothernn Indians, especially after 1870, were sent to Dutch colonies such as Suriname. There exist many more migrations to different parts in the world from India, India and China have beside Europe one of the largest migrations that ever existed in the world.
What most people don´t know is that inbetween colonies Indians used to migrate back to India or to other Colonies so after mixing with other Indians from other Indian states, the mixed Indians in the colonies moved either back to India (Raj) or moved to other countries/ states.
In my case, a Tamil and Telugu ancestor met each other in Suriname after moving from Guyana and settled in Suriname. In Suriname most Hindostani's are from UP and Bihar but a large minority are Bangla, Punjabi, Kashmiri and even Afghan. So beacause the dominant Indians were from UP and Bihari, in Suriname the other languages than Hindostani dissapeared and over time Sarnami was formed, a creole language based on Awadhi and Bojpuri!!!

I'm a Tamil, but my maternal grandparents were from Chitoor region of undivided Madras presidency. They were bi-lingual. In fact my great-grandfather was a Telugu pundit and would render Ramayanam and Mahabharatam upanyasams in the Telugu language. He ran a small Telugu school in Ambur.
This lineage of bilinguality was lost when our families moved to Chennai in the 70s. We didn't have links to the Chitoor district after that. However, I had the opportunity to learn Telugu (to speak and read) when I worked at a border village "Tada" for 4 years. I can't explain how exciting it is to be able to communicate in Telugu. For me it's like a reunion with a lost cousin.

EDITED:- I recently went to ASI office in vijayawada where my frnd works and happened to have a nice discussion with a senior archeologist when I asked him does telugu come from sanskrit since there are lot many similar words he said English is a world's language today because it has allowed words of other languages and made them as its own similar thing happened with Telugu but the roots, structure and foundations are Dravidian he said, also he quoted that telugu and kannada could be much older than sanskrit as per the present evidence present he said..

I'm a Kannadiga, I love Telugus very much, because they don't have the sense of linguistic superiority which some language people have, also because that Telugu gaarus when in Karnataka, learn Kannada and speak the language, and is not very rigid like people from other states. As a Telugu person and a linguistics enthusiast, I think this video has covered some great points. I like how you showed the part where Shri Krishnadevaraya says "Desha bhashalandu Telugu lessa." I kind of had goosebumps watching that.
Lmao when you showed Bucciarati captioned arrivederci the JOJO fan in me screamed.
I appreciate the comparison with the English origin-evolution pyramid, by the way.
I've mostly seen people(Telugu) think Telugu is purely a Sanskrit derived language and get mildly confused(or surprised, if you will) when they listen to similar words in Tamil/Malayalam/Kannada.
It's great that you've shown the different dialects/variants of Telugu too.
Thank you for mentioning Nannaya, Tikkana and Errana.
I'm surprised you noticed the "Dz" sound that comes from words with "Ja" not many Telugu people say it that way and even the right usage of "Bandi ra" or the Tamil "Zh" sound. Also, the "Rrr" sound is perhaps from the time when Obsolete letters were used, we have a bunch of them.
I've been to Chaitanya for my 11th-12th and man idk what to say about you mentioning it.
Sorry for the unnecessary yapping but I really am going to hold this video close to me because, growing up, I despised Telugu, did not appreciate the value of learning my mother tongue. I felt irritated that my texbooks were written in absolute formal language which I hated learning. Even after around 2019 when our texbooks finally were written in Telangana Dialect, I just hated the fact that I kept failing in a subject that is part of my blood, having people who are exceptionally amazing at Telugu literature gave me even more guilt. It was when I finished schooling and entered college that I delved deeper into Indian Linguistics and seen how much I've neglected Telugu. Thank you for making me see it lol, I needed it. I guess it's perhaps, slightly embarrasing that it took me 19 years of existence to start loving my language and being this proud of it.
    Again, apologies for the essay.

You covered “Avadhanam” ! Its the most difficult form of poetry known to mankind ! The task is tell poems on-the-fly and they must follow specific patterns of word sequences ( called ganam-ulu). There are several forms of avadhanam, based on the number of challengers ! One with 100 ( shatha -avadhanam) and sahasra -avadhanam (1000) etc.

Other one, Birbal is north Indian Tenali Ramakrisha... But unfortunately, people call the Copy cats as the great ones and the originals as with these copy cats's references... How sad? When did Kali Dasa live, when Shakespeare came? What was Tenali Rama's period, and how efficiently Birbal copied him? They are so many such discriminations ...

Despite being born in the USA and having English as his first language, he has never forgotten his mother tongue. We’ve been searching for a video that clearly explains how Telugu has been so profoundly influenced by Sanskrit. As a native Telugu speaker, I often struggle to answer his insightful questions. Thankfully, RUclips suggested your video today, and I must say, it filled me with pride as a Telugu speaker and a lover of Sanskrit.
