I watched a documentary on Plasencia and their operations a few months ago here on RUclips and it caught my interest. I'm excited to try one because I was really fond of the company and how they operate.
The Plasencia Almo del Campo was the second cigar I ever smoked, and it has pretty much made everything else pale in comparison. I cant wait to try the Fuerte!
Finally you did it Ant. You reviewed my absolute favorite cigar and I thank you highly for it. I respect your opinion on cigars over all others. Where do I begin? You basically said it all except I’m going to add one more perfect pairing of this review….your choice in attire, lol. I’m big on their hexagon boxed press Alma Fuerte. Such a rich and desirable flavor. Dark and classy, kinda like that jacket and the decor of the room. Thank you Anthony for sharing your experience. P.S. You have the best job in the world. Hahaha, Merry Christmas
Imagine a late night, smooth jazz filling the room, Chet Baker's trumpet casting a mellow glow over the evening. In one hand, a glass of Bombay Sapphire East, its botanical whispers of lemongrass and peppercorn enhancing the quiet sophistication of the moment. In the other hand, a Plasencia Alma Fuerte cigar, rich and full-bodied, its velvety smoke curling gently into the air. Together, they create an exquisite trio-a perfect harmony of music, taste, and ambiance. This is an experience of pure jazz, where the rhythm of life flows with elegance and ease.
I picked this up two days ago ! I can’t wait to smoke it. All the older guys told me to hold on to my butt and have a piece a chocolate or cola near by 😅😅
Anthony , I appreciate you brother. I love this cigar and Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2 . Watching your videos easy, relaxing and very informative. Keep up the excellent work and thinks for introducing me to these cigars 🤙
I just had one of these with a tiny bite of a Leonidas bourbon chocolate, a sip of Japanese Suntory whisky, finished by the cigar and it created a wild explosion of flavors. I can taste the pepper on the alma fuerte and it combines great with the other two ingredients.
Smoking this stick now in honour of Bradley Reith. I like to watch cigar videos along and Holt's had the best vid out! Love to hear the history behind the tobacco grower, while entering the second third. Molasses indeed!!!!
Im a combination of you and him. I only smoke 2-3 cigars a week, usually on weekends watching football, and I enjoy a glass of Four Roses bourbon ( neat) with a beer as a chaser. Heaven can’t possibly be as good as that can it?
Great video. I was recently gifted a Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robusto. I’m looking forward to smoking it. As for pairing, I’m a big Michters whiskey fan. I’ve yet to try the American whiskey but love the Sour Mash, Bourbon, and Straight Rye. I’ll be pairing my smoke with the US1 bourbon. Cheers!
I started smoking cigars at 16yrs old. I'm 63 yrs old now. I have never smelled or tasted any of these aromas. Am I doing something wrong. I just know what I like...
At the end of the day that's what it's all about - enjoyment. You can love wine without trying to pinpoint all the different flavors, same goes with cigars
Great vid Mazz… Special request, I trust your palate. Would love to see you do a review of my No. 1 fav cigar… Davidoff Royal Release. Dont think I ever saw you review it. Keep that great content coming. You have A LOT of fans up here in Toronto, Canada!
Not my favorite blend, but the construction on these are as good as it gets. Then, they throw in the Hex Pressed and Salomon to make it extra clear how much skill and artistry went into these.
I won’t lie, I’m smoking this right now as my first cigar.. I’m new to this and I went into the cigar shop, told em I was new and this is the exact one he gave me lol idk if this is good for a first cigar but it taste pretty good and gets better as the bourbon 🥃 goes down lol , I’ve paired it with Widow Jane decadence and started to relax and found this video lol.. if anyone sees this and has a few tips for me 😅
Glad you enjoyed it! We have a bunch of educational videos on our channel that will help a great deal especially if you're new. Check out our video "How to Smoke Your First Cigar" for some tips
My tips: try many different cigars, there's lots of great cigars out there. Find the ones that sit well with you despite what others may or may not say. Most important, enjoy yourself... That's what cigar smoking is all about. Long ashes my friend.
Absolutely love the Plasencia line…except for the Original Reserva, for some reason that didn’t hit like the others IMO. Have you ever had the pleasure of interviewing anyone from the Plasencia family?
I watched a documentary on Plasencia and their operations a few months ago here on RUclips and it caught my interest. I'm excited to try one because I was really fond of the company and how they operate.
This cigar is the only place it can answered. 2 hours of elegance, Jazz and Woodford Reserve a combination perfection. Thank you
There can’t be many people at the factory that can roll that shape. Very impressive. Kudos to the torcedores 💥👍🏼👍🏼
The Plasencia Almo del Campo was the second cigar I ever smoked, and it has pretty much made everything else pale in comparison. I cant wait to try the Fuerte!
I fucking love your content it makes me wanna smoke and drink every time

This the best Plasencia cigar. This cigar that you are smoking is the first Plasencia cigar I ever smoked.
These have become one of my all-time favorite cigars. Love this brand. Have not smoked that shape yet but looking forward to it.
I’m new to cigars. Keep seeing this one at my store. Will most definitely grab a few to try.

Awesome review. Especially the difference in shapes and sizes. You have alot of knowledge in cigars and liquor pairings.
I picked this up two days ago ! I can’t wait to smoke it. All the older guys told me to hold on to my butt and have a piece a chocolate or cola near by 😅😅
I truly love this blend. Tend to pair it with cordon Bleu.

That’s a great pairing Mazz. Two of my favorites, Plasencia and Michter’s.

Love this cigar. The notes you mention are unique to this cigar..
I’m a big bourbon drinker love pairing them with all my cigars! Coffee and beer would be my second choice with cigars

Would you pair the Michter's American Whickey with the Alma del Fuego?
Just smoked one last night with my friend for his birthday it was nice
Good review. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
@holtscigars You're welcome. It looks like just one cigar store carries this cigar brand near me. I look forward to seeing if it is in stock.
I live within short driving distance of MANY of these distilleries in Kentucky, yet I don’t drink bourbon or whiskey at all 🤷♂️🤔😃
I take it your rum guy! lol me too
Great review sir
Sheshh is it Friday yet 🤪🍻✌️
Absolutely love the Plasencia line…except for the Original Reserva, for some reason that didn’t hit like the others IMO.
Have you ever had the pleasure of interviewing anyone from the Plasencia family?
