I just drove a 2024 Mustang GT with an auto & I was blown away! It’s not your typical Mustang, the 2024 is so much better. I’m not a Ford fan but I was impressed.

love my 2021 challenger 6sp manual Scat honestly the greatest car ever. handles like a dream, people call it a heavy boat but its only 500lbs heavier than a camaro i love this thing!
If Ford would get rid of the IPAD screens and go back to real gauges and knobs then I would consider purchasing one. This digital screens are unreliable over time.

Great topic! IMO, I wouldn't call it a Scat Pack killer, the 392 is still competitive at the dragstrip and the street, in my area anyways. The ZF 8 speed and Tremec are better transmissions in my experience of owning both in my Challengers. But, the Darkhorse is a sweet Stang, and the GT 350, etc. My old 5.0 from the early 90s was not as good as this new Gen. of Stangs. Much respect to Ford for not caving to the EV nonsense completely.

The base V8 with manual is an awesome car (rented one on Turo for a couple days). However, it is very low to the ground and to cut weight there isn't much sound deadening. Rides on the rough side. For guys over 6 foot you have to basically fall into the car to get into it. It sounds great, has a great shifter with a great driving experience. Handles great too. Ultimately I went for a manual Scat Pack which is much better comfort and ride. Swapped out the sloppy shifter with a Barton and now it matches the driving experience of the GT. For younger single guys the GT is a great option. Over 40 with a family, go for the Scat Pack.
I wouldn't give a damn. The widebody charger looks better and more room. The only Mustang I owned was a 2018 Shelby GT350 and hated I got rid of it.
I could care less. The looks, sound, interior, size and power of a WBSP is worth the difference. I picked one up for 51 loaded except for the carbon stuff. The mustang dash alone is reason not to get one.

I got the chance to test drive a 2024 GT. It was different for me since I'm not used to driving a coupe or smaller car. Under the hood is gorgeous. I like looking at the engine. It's nothing like my Charger R/T though. It doesn't seem as fast even though it is faster. It doesn't throw you back into your seat like the R/T does. With that being said, If I get something in the 400HP+ range, it will be the Mustang GT. I can get Scat Pack performance without the Scat Pack problems.

If you get the chance you got to put the car on track mode or drag mode. With that being said mustangs produce less torque the mopars. So short stint sprints are you won't feel the car. Were the mustang shines is top end. You can definitely feel the car once it gets going. But without a doubt any 10r80 5.0 trim will out right faster than all mopars stock outside of hellcats. The trans helps keep up the base cat to a certain mph tho. Had to stangs a PP1 and now a Mach 1, love the platform, so much that my next fun car will 80% be another mustang in the future.

I previously owned a 2021 widebody scatpack shaker manual…I sold it almost two years ago due to it just sitting in my garage and not having the time to enjoy it. Anyway. I got a little itch again and decided to test drive a new Mustang GT…I drove a manual with the recaro seats. I think you have right be 150 lbs or less to feel comfortable in them lol. I was super uncomfortable. They had manuals with the standard seats. But they were buried in by to many other cars. First off. The GT lacks the low end torque compared to the scatpack. I noticed that right away. The transmission was ok. It shifted nicely. But the total ergonomics of the mustang just didn’t do it for me. The dealer by me has like 8 manuals in stock. 6 GT’s and 2 dark horses. They’ve been sitting for weeks-months. And I feel that the car is def overpriced IMO…I believe the one that I drove was a performance pack car with recaros. Performance exhaust etc. sticker was $56xxx….a base GT was $44,500. I think 35-36 should be the price lol. I didn’t talk numbers after the test drive…i declined

I got my son a 392 Challenger with a plus package for 45 k otd back in April. Unfortunately since then Stelantis has taken away the rebate and inventory has gone way down so the same cars are advertised for 55 k. Meaning 63 otd.

That's a hard to believe deal honestly. The sticker on that car with Plus Package is like 55K. So you had to get 15K off sticker. That's one helluva deal, they dealer had to lose money on that car to sell it for that much.

The mustang is not a musclecar. A musclecar is a two door hot rod sedan you can for your whole family in 😁 Camaro doesn't qualify either as only tiny people can fit in the back and trunk is nearly useless. I like the charger too, but it's a four door, so no dice.

You can buy a Whipple supercharger with it and it's covered under Ford warranty 810 horsepower in one day is crazy

Then ford refuses to warranty the blown motor saying “you drove it to hard” the Whipple kit is a terrible idea for anyone getting into a s650
