40k for a v6 is crazy..
I remember before the poke around 2018. You could buy a 6 cylinder for around $20,000. And the all-wheel drive Was less than $30,000 fully loaded. For the prices to go up in the past 3 or 4 years to where they are now is just robbery.
Fax
That's even too much for a 5.7 rt
2019 you could get a brand new scat pack for 35k
40k for ANYTHING is CRAZY IMO!This is why Kuniskis just jumped ship, they've pushed the price WAY BEYOND What Most Die Hard Mopar Customers Can reasonably afford,Plus who wants a Electric Muscle Car?
Good that they're overpriced Challengers and charges aren't selling. They got greedy and now they're paying for it.
Their
Bingo!!!
Yep. Pre Covid scatpacks MSRP was like 39k.
@@lclnbmif you’re going to correct someone, at least try and get it right yourself. “They’re” was used properly in his comment, “their” is not correct. “Their” is a possessive pronoun, “they’re” is a contraction of they are. So saying, “they’re overpriced” or “they’re paying for it” is correct.
their
At that price I'd rather get a Vette
NOPE. I got me a CT5-V Blackwing for sticker. A real "limited edition" car that still holds its value 2 years after I bought it for under 100k. Dodge can go ahead and shove these cars up their arses. I have 2014 RT Plus and will keep it forever ! Paid under 35k ten years ago.
I remember the days when you would see people walking around on the lot; but now it's a ghost town.
Actually thought about buying an 5.7 R/T a couple months ago.. went to my local dodge dealership, they had a 2023 5.7 R/T challenger priced at 50k. I got the hell up out of there. These prices are WICKED.
You should maybe look again. In my area the rt cars are $11k under sticker right now
I Assuming @ 50K that RT was LOADED!
I just got an R/T Backtop 34k out the door in Houston, sticker price was 46k
Yea RT drop and I’ll be satisfied because even if you can afford SRT, insurance is insane for them, so just build one 🤫
@@lazaroh713how many miles though
That their fault , they should’ve never tried to be greedy thinking people would be stupid and buy these cars way over msrp.
A lot of people are way upside down because they paid way over sticker. I feel bad for them that these dealers took advantage of them Like that. And some of these dealers are still trying to get over sticker. They're freaking crazy.
Over Priced by $30,000 and they look the same for years, changed only little details.
65k for a widebody when you can spend $300 for a plane ticket and get it in Atlanta for 38k is crazy.
If you have to travel to another state for a couple 100 bucks to save thousands of dollars, do it. It would be worth it.
@@michaelbuteau4183 facts
Name of the dealer for 38k
❤ respect
No widebody here in atl is 38k wat u smokin?
Well, since they were slapping 20-30% markups on those cars maybe it's time to sell them 20-30% under MSRP.
The MSRP is not what the dealership is asking for the cars. People need to look at the web sites of the dealers and see what they are actually asking after dealer discounts and rebates.
I've said this in other videos like this one. When prices go back to pre-covid levels they will sell. Until then, price haven't gone down enough for the dealerships to hurt as much as people are saying.
Ford is laughing so hard at Mopar like I am 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
What they call a $65000 car I see a $48-$52000 car it's a shame I've been in the car world for most of my life and a working class man can't afford anything
I'm perfectly happy with my 5.7 '05 Rumble Bee single cab truck that I picked up for $25K out the door with 2400 miles on it in '06. They only made them 2 years so you don't see them every day like a Scat Pack or Hellcat. It now has 120K miles and still looks new and I get offers on it all the time. I replaced my complete front suspension and c/v shafts(AWD) that should outlast me now that I'm in my 60's.
They took down the horsepower locater because theres 50 of them on every dodge lot across the country
I’m from Waco too I was just there . But they wayyyy cheaper in Dallas and Houston
$67K for a Scat?? That's why it's still sitting there. WoW
It’s definitely not 60,000 for the scat
65k? I only payed 57k and it was a negative equity loan, cause i owed 12k on my old challenger so that means i paid 45k for a scat pack ALL black, that aint no down price they still pulling the same crap
Dodge is making beautiful muscle cars gotta say that I love the Scat❤
That swinger chally with the shaker is😍
For starters they are way too expensive and secondly they are some of the most stolen cars in the US right now... Why would you buy something that's overpriced and that most likely will get stolen in a few months?
Dodge let them dealerships raise prices through the roof!!! F em....
Just love how all these look the same. The only difference is the price. Then it can get stolen with a ring pop and a Google search.
Getting carjacked with a ringpop is crazy!!!😂😂
RINGPOP 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
It's been the same for 15 fuckin years almost as bad as the damn skyline! What a joke
Insurance company won't insure them and if they do they high
Love these videos keeps me updated on when I should by my Widebody scat😈
💯💪🏾👊🏾
Where are you located? There is a very fair dealer near me that has their scats marked down 6-7k below MSRP right now
I looked at a black fat boi scat charger with sunroof and Harmon sound they have listed for 60k which is 6k under sticker
End of August is probably gonna be a really good time to buy because, they're going to want to get rid of cars really bad by then to make room for the new electric crap. Once the car passes 18 months old Especially these cars, The banks are not going to want to loan on them as a new car and they'll probably only lend about 60%.of out the door price. So get ready to put a big down payment on that car if you want one.🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Holiday Season maybe 👀
Over priced and interest rates. That's a solid nope.
I have been saying this. As a dealer u guys will starve out your family & employees over gouging prices. I hope they don’t go bankrupt.
Prices need to drop a heckuva lot more.
I paid 40k cash for a 2020 scat with 50k miles.. fully loaded red interior CPO power train warranty 100k miles 10 years, don’t think I’ll have the car long but to think I paid that for a used car is wild..
they want 39000 to 49000 dollars for NON-V8 300s between the touring touring L and S trims. those prices are NOT coming down. for comparison a 300s V8 without options would be 41000 and with options would be around 52500
That was a great video, brother. It’s sad to see all those nice cars just out there overpriced with rust on their rotors. Maybe one day they’ll lower the prices so that people may want to buy them, but I think people are starting to lose interest in these overpriced machines.
Thanks brother! They been sitting to long probably have a bunch of issues if purchased.
I work for them the rust is caked on the rotors it’s engulfed underneath the car and the tires are dry rotted 😢
@@slackonthego1489yes they do customers bring them back
@@key981 😳 that’s unfortunate. I wonder why they are still priced so high. 🤷🏻♂️
Just a little longer now and it’ll be time to buy *evil laughter* good video bro the car industry is in trouble
The real price is on that little sticker on the windshield
As for me I’m done buying new cars till they quit jacking up prices on gas cars to make up losses due to building new plants and retooling old plants to make glorified golf carts. FJB, F the auto industry for standing up to these ridiculous mandates no American wants.
💯💪🏾👊🏾
They will still be selling 2023 SXT's and GT's until 2030. And the RT's will last until 2028. And there will still be Scatpacks hanging around until 2026. And the Hellcats and all their variants will be around forever because they're too expensive and the dealers are too greedy.
The GTS name goes back to the 68'- 69' Darts with 340's. GT and Swinger were from the 1970 Darts that had 340's. With the stripe across the trunk. I had one with a 4speed and Posi F8 green with the dual hood scoops.
Thanks for the information 💯💪🏾👊🏾
Even if you wanted to buy a Charger the banks are just saying no…..With interest and just that high payment if you use the 10 percent rule you have to make well over a 100K per year to qualify for car.
I assume and believe that some people are scare to have them because of how popular they are of getting stolen
love to see it. might try and pick one up later this year for cheap
💯💪🏾👊🏾
The closer we get to the end of 2024, the better off you will be, at trying to pick one up. Just Give them a low ball price. You never know what might come of it. And make sure you say out the door price. That always makes them scared.
@@michaelbuteau4183 for sure I’m excited
The dealers never want to bargain starting with sales tax
Nobody wanna deal with the police every 5 minutes or somebody tryna steal it the wave is over
I love the dodge car and trucks SUV but they want to much for them my first charger was 1899 now you can't think about buying one for that price now
Aiming for a wide body Scat during the Holiday Season. Maybe we’ll see some deals then?
2025
That wide body scat challenger was tough 🔥
🔥👊🏾💪🏾
Who wants them now? Ridiculous prices on aged models. They want to capitalize on the move to electrics. There's not even anything to move on to. And most of the inventory is past 180 to 250 days already and depreciated. I'd say fire sale it all.
What do you got for f8 green challengers, scat pack or above, manual transmission is a must.
You hearted the comment; but I was looking for an answer lol. Hope to hear an answer relatively soon because I'm looking for nothing less than a scat pack, f8 green and manual are the requirements. Don't care about Sun/ moonroof. It can even be a 2018 for all I care.
So is it true what i saw on youtube... 2023 last call editions and other hemi engine bodys were filled with foam insulation blocking water outflow from rain, carwashes, snow... basic weather... causing these body panels to RUST AND CORRODE like a 1950 Chevrolet?😂😂😂
When they give these away, i want you to have the first pick!! Great video!
💯💪🏾👊🏾 straight to the shop
Prices should be around 42k to 48k I paid 42k for my charger in 2019 brand new. With a dynamic package.
That shaker at 10:50 was hard 🔥
I’ll take that white widebody Swinger Challenger!☝️
I thought the same thing but our dodge dealership managed to sell majority of their challengers and chargers surpringly. No telling how screwed people got.
Just got my hellcat narrow body from a tampa dealer for $17k off sticker.
Get a C8 Vette. Their prices are falling fast, especially used.
A hellcat should not be a dollar over 62 new, and the scat pack should be 45+ tax. They are not worth a fucking single cent more than that. It’s literally an economy dodge charger with aesthetics and an engine.
Facts you right
My little Dodge dealer in Northern WI wants $64K for a T/A 392. It's Mango with a 6=speed and they claim it's "Under Invoice".
In 2018 I paid $36K brand spanking new for my Challenger Scat Pack..she has 31xxx miles now and I just can't believe a fuckin GT cost as much as what I bought mine for back then?! CRAZY
It don’t make sense that’s why they all sitting! Go back to 2018 prices that lot would be empty and at least Dodge could save face.
I got a awesome deal on my gen 5 camaro 2ss/rs a few months ago. I test drove a scat and yes it sounded good and was fast but the SS camaro I found was more fun to drive and was way cheaper lol so it worked out good because I've always been a chevy man anyway. Bowtie Gang!
What they need to realize is you could buy a 2016 hellcat in 2019 between 38k-40k with that in mind ppl with sense refuse to pay anything over 25k for a 2016 hellcat.
I Don't think its the Manufactures that's the reason for overpricing but the greedy dealerships trying to squeeze the buyers // i seen last month a dealership wanted $50,000 over sticker because the car line was shifting to ( these are the last years for these cars with bid engines / Scammers !!!!!!!!
Dodge is the victim of their own success. Dodge has been a trash company forever they finally build a winner with the Challengers Chargers and 300s. Everybody wants them but most dodge dealerships are crooks and their management has no clue. Ford kept the Raptor and Mustang and they are working on an 8 liter motor too. Chevy still making V8 trucks.
This dealership prices are still too high. Other dealerships prices are lower. They need to go down at least 3000.00 using dealer discounts.
Bro I’ve looking prices are not coming down but inventory not selling looking 2019 red eye this car 6 yrs old asking 72 k 21 red eye 78 k nothing really selling here Louisville Kentucky
If you really want one of these cars, you gotta be ready to buy it At that moment, and tell them that. Make sure you have a good size down payment too. And then offer a Real low ball price, make them work for it. You will be surprised how much they will take off that car to sell it to you. And be ready to "WALK" They will call you back with an offer and then offer them less. You'll get the car for a good price. It's just a pain in the ass That you have to play these stupid games. Good luck.
Too much inventory will drive prices down & the dealers are loaded with them. It's called over capacity & Chrysler (now Stellantis) always built more than demand. This nonsense has been going on for years & the big 3 love to brag about sales numbers. Problem is that's sales to the dealers, not actual sales to the public. They're not the only ones. Here in the northeast suburbs of Detroit, acres upon acres are loaded with unsold inventory especially Ford, Ram & Chevy trucks. The dealers are trying to give the impression that inventory is low & yet they're actually running out of places to hide them.
Plus you get that embarrassing Dodge reliability.
Subbed n liked awesome video
Thank you 💯💪🏾👊🏾
Nobody wants em cuz nobody wants to be a target. These are just asking these idiots to rob you or steal your car. And if you are brave enough to get one good luck finding a reasonable insurance policy…
I was in Cleveland,Ohio and those dealers want you to finance through them in order to get the maximum incentives on the car......So you're not getting any deal as they'll get all of those incentives back plus interest....So no thank you.
Just take their financing deal… then go to a credit union shorty afterwards and obtain a loan through them and pay the initial loan off. That way the stealerships get a charge back on the deal and you get the best price possible. Stealerships want you to keep their loan 90 days or more and that way they get even more money from their banks and manufacturers. Some of them try to tell you the you MUST keep their loans 90 plus days… totally unenforceable so take their rebates and go to a credit union who’s probably cheaper. Even if the credit union is the same their deal and don’t allow the stealerships to make any extra money off of you.
Can't blame the dealer on this...these are MSRP prices...I'm sure they are making deals inside...now if these are dealer add-on prices then they are dumb...I wouldn't buy any of these without a 12 to 15 grand discount.
I’m from Waco too I live on Colcord and work at old Chicago but I’m tryna get a challenger cat but can’t afford it
That’s what’s up brother. I would recommend buying a used cat you can find a 2016 Challenger Hellcat in the $40,000 price range.
Imagine buying one of these cars & god forbid u have some trouble. I seen a few new ones 22/23 on smaller lots stating no warranty as is I just laughed & walked off won’t get me.
They will be stuck with those cars for a while.
For people who have theft problems in their area buy boots for your car they sell them online.protect your 💩 buy a boot.
Got my wife a Durango hellcat now I want one lol hope prices come down but already seeing red eyes in the $60’s
If you ever find a redeye in the 60s it's a salvage title. Those cars are still 90k plus used
If you're seeing a red eye and the 60s, be very careful Unless it's very used, there's something up
@@michaelbuteau4183 take a look man on CarGurus and auto trader they are in the 60’s already lower miles and leather even I was shocked myself these prices are falling fast
not in ny still over MSRP !
All those prices when you are a car guy, you know it's BS, 1st and foremost they are not rare, 2nd you can get cars WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY faster and reliable and with brand history, 3rd with all due respect it's still an american made car with a chassis from a Mercedes E class W211 from 2001, what the freaking fudge. I'll keep my 2019 Golf 7.5 R that even tho it doesn't have a V8, still keeps at least 50% of it's value after 5 years and doesn't drink premium like hell but doesn't go fast too.
huh...everything is overpriced...not just CDJR...ford...chevy...all of em..getting out of hand...the manufacturers should be the ones selling the vehicles...no more dealers except for service....
they are marking up these cars which are not selling. what a broken system.
Dodge was the absolute worst with the Market Adjustment BS and now they are reaping what they sowed. Add to that the fact they've discontinued the Hemi now it's a waiting game to the end, and the market for that EV thing is weak too.
That’s what they get! 😂 I need a Durango SRT 392 for 40k off
😂🤣😂
If you pull that off, let me know where that dealer is, I will fly there and buy one too.
No way I’m paying 60k for a scat
I've had 3 transmissions in my GT I'm over it that deal better come with a lifetime on it
How have you gone through three transmissions? Holy shit dude,...😮
@@RepunzelDamnation I'm on my 3rd transmission right now I have a 2019 gt challenger and I now have a 2022 transmission lol but it's running well my 2019 transmission may be 60k miles that's when I started to have problems on both of them
@@RepunzelDamnation no lemon law lawyer couldn't do nothing for me
insurance too high man. i was gonna buy one. bought a laramie instead
You're right, the insurance is stupid. I'm 64 years old, Have really good credit, No tickets, and my insurance payment every month is a normal person's car payment.... Normal person, that would be somebody driving a Honda or a Toyota. Not a 10 second hot rod.
Finally went shopping with the wife for a 23 (NEW) Challenger Scat wide body. Test drove a white with red leather and was extremely unimpressed. As I walked around the back for the test drive I pulled a 1/4 strip of paint off & the paint was so rough I could have lit a match off it. Went for the drive and the flat spots on the tires it vibrated so bad I made me sick. So I figured I would get a price on 1 of the Hellcats and that was a joke. Red Wide body leather scat in the showroom because it wasn’t trash like the ones outside. Out the door for $60,000 with $3000 for Assigo advantage for $200 door edge gaurds,$200 nitrogen tires,$500 ceramic ,etc. lol then over $4000 in profits in tags$500,electric filing $300-actually $20,Processing $1000. Premium prices for a 1 year old pieces of crap that were worth $30,000. So it was a blessing now looking at 3 clean used low mileage Hellcats & 2 of them are Red Eyes. I can’t believe I might own a 2019-2021 Red Eye or Hell cat that aren’t covered in bird crap & flat spotted tires. Wife said I needed to upgrade my R/T so I’m upgrading. 😂😂😂😂
Your a smart man used is better than a new rot lot vehicle 😂
Good luck getting financing 👍🏾
@@OctonaBoyFresh I just bought a Red eye with 5000 miles on it and financed it at the dealership because they beat my credit union rates. 797 hp & still had the new car smell
