Hats off to IMSA for posting the full races. Unlike other series i won't mention. Shea was sincerely sad about the old oak tree. She's awesome!. John Hindhaugh is my favorite motorsports announcer/commentator. His laughs per lap ratio is higher than most.
Why not just post race start for all the lazy people. Its like half the excitement spoiled knowing we're going to have 3 FCYs and when they start just because i accidentally spotted the stupid timestamp comment. Like seeing movie spoilers. People are quite capable of fast forwarding through a FCY if they are really so unbearable.
That was some really great racing!!! I didn't even miss the prototypes. Great win for Corvette Racing. I guess the questions about the C8 have been abswered.
Because randomly comparing road racing to oval racing makes so much sense... How about comparing it to drag racing now? Or motocross? Or any other random form of motorsport?

I play the auto-captions (bad hearing), and it's fun to see what the system does to driver names. Today we had some good ones, like Mario Farmbucket and Mario Fartback. That's fun and all, but I'm amazed at how well the technology tracks Hindy's voice.
I feel like VIR is like the US equivalent to Cadwell Park, loved by fans, loved by drivers. Yes it’s a longer lap but it has that same feeling that you’re really in for something unique and special.

Now they're back, yay! Thank you, IMSA, for actually adressing criticism. That's just one more reason this is (IMO) the best racing series in the world right now.

Not a MK but my old Mk2 MX5 I built for my sons ran 380bhp and 354ft/lbs 10yrs ago. New owner with more mods I did now runs 430bhp but with a ZF BMW gearbox conversion. Not sure if this could be one of thee highest figures in UK but certainly up there😊👍

VIR looks like it is a great track. My first time seeing a race at VIR. This the first time that I have watched an IMSA race in a very long time. Years actually ! I have to say , the paint jobs on those cars is something ! Makes it very difficult to determine what the cars actually look like. Lol , perhaps that is the whole idea.

After 4 decades of religious F1 watching, I can't take it anymore. Gave up 2 years ago. 7 years of Merc dominance with greater winning percentage than Ferrari '02-'04. It's so bad, I'd rather watch NASCAR before F1.

He makes up for it at 2:45:00 with a surgical cut to the inside, and somehow holds on to the damned thing around the outside of the next one to keep the spot.
I formerly watch WEC and kinda new to IMSA competition. I'll explain in WEC classes names since I am not familiar yet with IMSA classes names. Does anyone have any idea why this race mixes GT3 and GTE car?, it looks like those Porsches and Corvettes are GTE and the rest are GT3.
54:35 The Lambo driver tried to leave the pit before the crewman in front gave the signal. Looks like the fuel man got hurt. **edit** I'm guessing someone on the radio yelled "time" to the fuel man and then yelled "go go go" to the driver but the fuel man didn't hear it. The crewman at the front heard it all but kept his hand up because he could see the fuel hose was still in. Or if it wasn't timed fueling, someone on the radio gave the order to go too soon. Or the driver just goofed up.
So nice to see Jordan in the #3 car...not saying Jan wasn't hungry to win anymore, but I just couldn't help but feel like some of the Corvette drivers lost that edge and got a bit on autopilot. I feel like the #4 car needs a driver change as well...that car just can't find it's groove anymore. Westbrook....cmon...the guy needs a spot and ran in a Corvette already.
I know i'm only reading between the lines here but did aston not pay the OEM fees to IMSA? no logo in board and directors trying to avoid car despite it being in think of action with hindy seeming to go out of his way to mention ASTON MARTIN!

Hi, IMSA Official, i wanted to know how much horsepower do these racecars have? Can you tell me?
The top tier GTLM class has up to 525 hp, turbocharged or naturally aspirated. The GTD class is slightly less than that.
