Having been on Xbox One since release, this tip video had a few tips in it that I didn't know about including: - Light/Dark mode. I now have this set to scheduled! - Disc play. I've always hated when I insert a disc into my Xbox and it loading up automatically, this is now disabled! - Various Display settings. I never knew we could have 120Hz on 1440p, I now need to rethink about what I would prefer! Been playing with 4K UHD, but I am a little bit jealous of the 120Hz! Thanks for this tip video!

I would like to see a feature that when playing with a headset on & somebody calls or text it would appear on the screen. I miss so many calls or texts cause I can’t hear it
Thats because you cannot link your phone with your xbox in that way. But there are Headsets that can. I personally use the turtle beach stealth 700 but i guess all it takes is a bluetooth function.

$180 a year! Do you have a job? Between work, sleep, friends, family, and maintaining a household I'm lucky to get one or two days in a months that I can spend maybe 10 hours with a game. $180 is three brand new AAA games a year! And you would _OWN_ them. And besides that I, personally, buy almost all my games second-hand for way cheaper or I wait for good sales, like I got the Collector's Edition of God of War with the statue and everything for 60 bucks from B&H. At least the $15/month I waste on 4K Netflix is spread out amongst most of my immediate family; and I mean family that doesn't live with me: mom and dad who are separated, bother who lives across town, my 96yr old grandma, my brother-in-law, all using my Netflix with their own profiles so they don't mess up my recommendations.
*Just got my FIRST CONSOLE EVER* (The One X) Got it a few hours ago, and scanned through the whole OS while downloading apps 😂😂 I figured out most of these on my own, however, a few of them just helped reassure me that I choose the right setting... Honestly, I'm quite surprised you didn't talk about the instant-on and the energy saver in this video :)
@@ultimatearmouries8936 Energy saver is better if you aren't going to download games overnight and don't care about instant start up Instant-on starts WAY quicker and also gives the option to download games overnight, however it does use approx 15W in the background which can be an issue

The only thing I want to know about the Xbox Series X is if it will have its own version of the Kinect (Kinect 3.0?), if it will be compatible with the current Kinect 2.0 or if they’re entirely scrapping the concept of the Kinect. Turning my console on and off with my voice never stops being cool to me, but being able to navigate menus and apps with motion controls like when the Xbox One initially launched is a feature I sorely miss.

It's a no brainer at this point, but when downloading a game, make sure the console is set to instant-on. Keep that download going even after the console is shut off.

I had the same dilemma and I just couldn't resist... But this depends on your other gaming options you have at the moment and your budget. Assuming you own a 4K tv set, current offers on One X + GamePass are good value and I just wanted to play Forza 7 and some Halo solo campaigns... I am not even sure I need Series X for the first year or so, as all MS games will be cross gen. But if you own an Xbox One S, I think you should wait for Series X (probably no more than 550$) or the more affordable, but still quite powerful, Series S (MS will reportedly announce it on coming months).
Installing games remotely through game pass is great but why can’t I install purchased games owned remotely in the standard mobile app? Also pins and groups are pointless if you own multiple xboxes each with differing content. You create a pin on one xbox and it’s visible on another but you’re unable to play until you install it. Pins should be local to the xbox you use not the account.

I have only been on Xbox for 3 years now and already I have a huge backlog of Xbox one and 360 games. By the time Series X comes out, that back log is going to have just grown even more. But yeah, I hope they have a lot of awesome games lined up for next gen.
If you buy discs, prefer downloading patches later (after the disc installation). If your Internet is slow, try forwarding the ports Xbox live uses through your router settings. You can find the procedure online, it's quite easy.

I disagree with appearing offline. I would hate for my friends online to think I’m not around but I also don’t like the annoying pop up notifications. So for me I simply turn off the notifications if I want alone time and turn them back on when I’m ready to play with friends.

They might be doing this in the future they have talked about not needing Xbox live gold for free to play games , but it's not gunna happen anytime soon
But PlayStation requires you to have ps+ for cloud saves anyway, it also charges a monthly fee for poor backward compatibility even if you already own the games from previous consoles, these things are Free and far better on the Xbox (you don't need gold for cloud storage) as is OneDrive storage. MS allow you to buy full digital games at much cheaper prices from third party outlets like CD keys whereas Sony do not allow this and you have to pay their prices from ther store. I would rather keep the things MS offer than make Free To PAY games playable without gold.

You need a 140hz or better computer monitor. 14ohz tvs are stupid expensive

To use remote install via the app you need to remember to have 'instant on' enabled, great video for a brief look though.

Disconnecting the console
Press the sync button on the headset right when you turn it on. Then just sync it with whatever other device you want to use it with
I turn the power strip off my xbox is connected to. But yes, it is annoying.

There is a new app on xbox one that is called free movies 2020 it provides any movie, tv show, minigames and more what an app!

I have a complain about xbox ecosystem, not only me but the others too. If a person buys an expensive game for his/her xbox and then he has to pay extra for live gold to play online. What type of hell is this !!!!! I request you guyz to plz let everyone play fortnite and other battle royale games free without buying live subscription as the playstation offers to play fortnite. Thanks.

They might be doing this in the future they have talked about not needing Xbox live gold for free to play games , but it's not gunna happen anytime soon
But PlayStation requires you to have ps+ for cloud saves anyway, it also charges a monthly fee for poor backward compatibility even if you already own the games from previous consoles, these things are Free and far better on the Xbox (you don't need gold for cloud storage) as is OneDrive storage. MS allow you to buy full digital games at much cheaper prices from third party outlets like CD keys whereas Sony do not allow this and you have to pay their prices from ther store. I would rather keep the things MS offer than make Free To PAY games playable without gold.
