I made this recipe for the first time tonight. I tried another vegan recipe from another channel in the past and was disappointed. This was so much better! Great recipe and I will be making this one of my staples now.
I’ve been looking for a good recipe for this and no videos I’ve seen were as clear and to the point. I’ve tried once before and messed it up and the think not having cream or yogurt in this makes it way simpler Thanks Chetna!
Speaking of rain, 12 days in a row nonstop with 42 degrees temps. Nothing would remedy that besides a hearty Indian dish like you just made. You keep inspiring me on a daily basis dear Chetna and here I am going back to the kitchen to make one of my most favorites; Alu Saag with chapathi bread.
Wow, a stunning recipe for palak chole! I love all the changes you've made (compared to the old video): more spices including chaat masala, the frying of chickpeas, honey and lemon juice. I'm gonna try it soon! Thank you, Chetna :))
Looks like delicious deliciousness! I might add a few coins of cooked carrots for colour and texture . I like to pick something out for variety as I eat .
Have just made this and the Chana dhal for my vegan food business in Barcelona. Both delicious. The Chana dhal is very creamy. Thanks Chetna....maybe I should call it Chetna dhal❤
Okay this looks FANTASTIC! I've made a similar meal with mushrooms in the past but I added way too much chilli. Spinach puree is a great sauce for vegetables, I really like the texture and fresh colour. This looks even simpler than what I made, and honestly more delicious! Going to have to try this.
Oh my goodness this looks so delicious! I will definitely make this after I make homemade Masala spice blend and Butter Chicken, both will be a first for me to make.
Just made this recipe and it turned out delicious and comforting. Perfect for a snowy Indiana day! Since I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten, I roasted some cauliflower florets and poured the curry on top. So good! Thank you, Chetna!
Oh, my, gosh. I just made this dish for tonight's dinner. It is, hands down, the MOST legit recipe I've used in quite some time. Absolutely delicious and exactly perfect for chilly, winter weather. Thank you so much for your easy to follow recipes that we so enjoy watching you create. Also, you have some fabulous sweaters this week! So, so good!
Good morning Chetna, that looks amazing, it's fresh, healthy and easy to cook, in my house we have spinach alot, I am always thinking of different recipe to cook at home, thank you for sharing this lovely recipe, I will cook it but I will do my own twist to it ☺️❤️😋😁
AH-MAZING!! Was inspired by you to make this tonight as I had all the ingredients. EXCEPT the mustard seeds. Used Fenugreek seeds instead. Can't wait to try all your other recipes along with making some paneer. Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Hi, recipes are fantastic. Could you tell me what brand of pan this. I'm struggling to find a decent pan for an induction hob. Hate the induction hob. Thanks
I regularly make chickpea and spinach curries, but I've never tried pureeing the spinach, nor have I seen it in recipes. Is this a concoction of your own Chetna? Whatever, it looks great. I'll definitely give it a go during the week.
This looks amazing and just as one of the dishes I like to order when I’m not into cooking myself ☺️ so happy to have something new to try and surely love 😊 If I may ask, when cooking this for some guests, would you recommend something particular (next to raita, rice, roti - be it veggie or with chicken; from either one of your books or videos 😉) to go with it? I‘m thinking of making it next weekend for friends ☺️ While my skills do still improve, I realise that I still tend to pair stuff I love and know and may be missing the experience and knowledge on how to create a flavour/consistency layer within the whole meal (although your menu suggestions in your books are so helpful ❤️) Have a lovely Sunday evening and a great start to the new week! Hope the weather will improve and you‘re feeling well 💕
I hate this colddddd weather too ! Can i add sugar instead of honey as I'm not a regular honey buyer? If so, how much to add please ^_^ Is bottled lemon juice ok?
This is definitely yummy. I made the same moans as Chetna when I tried it. Although, mine definitely did not need the 1tsp of salt. Next time will try it before adding that at the end.
You look and sound a little sad. The grey weather surely doesn't help. Don't press yourself to reflect so much positive feeling, let yourself be as you are, Chetna. And you are lovely.
I think it is interesting that you add cumin, and now today mustard seeds to the oil and later say you will add spices. I don't understand your definitions.
@@FoodwithChetna In US, we consider seeds spices also. I understand frying the seeds increases their flavor. So, it makes sense and I will use your technique now. Thanks

Indian cousin is literally killing all the natural food flavour and taste all the mazala or whatever the name is 😂 maybe a little bit and not that much next time ? It’s called seasoning not masquerading!
Watching your videos & doing the recipes in your cookbooks has improved my Indian cooking 1000%. Are curry night are homemade now & much better.
Absolutely same story here, the kitchen is enriched now!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
You always make recipes accessible
Hooray for healthy, vegan curry! Love your recipes, Chetna.

I have never thought of cooking Channa with Spinach. I will try as soon as I can find Chaat Masala. Thanks!

Good morning Chetna ❣️ Thanks for the recipe.

Looks amazing! I will try this this week. Been having trouble with eating healthy since I got pregnant.... and nothing spoke to me. This is perfect.

I've made palak sooo many times and never thought to put honey and lemon. OMG, what a difference! 🤤🤤🤤😋 such a flavor enhancement. THANK YOU ❤

nice, I always start my curries with 1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds and 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
great
Scrumptious!!
Added paneer to this and so good!
Wonderful!
Hi Chetna, could you use frozen spinach for this? Trying to use up food before I move house!! Love your videos 😊

This would go really well with a cauliflower sabji or a yogurt chicken curry, both recipes are in my 30 minute indian cookbook or here on youtube
@@FoodwithChetna thank you so much! 🥰
Can I use frozen spinach? If so, do I just Chuck it in the same way and let wilt?
To make it vegan you could replace the honey with agave, or maybe maple?
yes or sugar
I want to try this, but can I use something instead of chat masala or should I just skip it?
Hi Chetna
Glen here, what alternatives are available for this lovely meal?
what do you mean?
I hate this colddddd weather too !
Can i add sugar instead of honey as I'm not a regular honey buyer? If so, how much to add please ^_^
Is bottled lemon juice ok?
Yes and yes
2 cans of chickpeas….how much is that if I use dried chick peas? 1 cup? 2? Will definitely make this. 😊
What kind of pan do you have?
Can I freeze half of it?
yes
It was very good - we enjoyed it very much. Thank you (and froze some!)
you definitely are on a chaat masala kick :)
😋
@@FoodwithChetna everything is better with amchur and kala namak
I could eat it as salad ..
haha
Resep kari bayam yang enak
👌
Thanks
Thanks i😂I will try it
Why did you not use chilli powder or green chilies?
If I did I would mention in the video
The perfect dish for March 17th❣️ (St. Patrick's day ☘️ 🙂)
Oh yes!
This is definitely yummy. I made the same moans as Chetna when I tried it. Although, mine definitely did not need the 1tsp of salt. Next time will try it before adding that at the end.
Why did you skip the green chili ??
just didnt want that much heat
What was the second masala? Chad?
I‘m from germany, and all i have at home is garam masala 😅😅
chaat
Chaat masala, available at most Asian grocers, or Amazon online, or use an online recipe to make your own if you have a dry grinder at home!
Will be cooking this tonight! One thing, it is not vegan due to the honey 🙂
U are so cute and elegant. I love your recipes, voice and hairstyle. Salty elegant look u have❤️❤️❤️ classy women.

I dont understand your questions. I add the seeds before and the dried powder spices later

@@rickylion2891 everyone does, but it's really obvious that she means whole seeds and ground spices.
