I think a lot of RUclipsrs under estimate how much knowledge their viewers have and how interested they are in more detailed stuff.
This one gets a favorite from me, thanks for the upload
you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
That was one of the best videos you have made to date, Great job Larry and that was fun to watch as always. Enjoy your new setup.
Thank you!
AMMO NYC Hey Larry, what were your times before and after?
Thanks
+AMMO NYC I Wish I had the money to rebuild my 930 engine and set up the suspension on it like you did. Wow! Nice.
Your channel keeps getting better and better.
***** Thx bud
I'm not a detailer, heck I'm not even a super neat freak about my cars anymore. However, I've watched all of your videos and enjoyed almost all of them. The series you've been doing on your own Porsche have been some of the best videos you have made to date! Your automotive passion comes through clearly and it's great to see such an awesome team taking such good care of your car. Keep up the great work!
giff74 same with me. After watching the green porsche barn find video, I started getting into DIY detailing my own car little by little. And now am loving all his stuff. Kudos Larry. You've hooked me in.
I came here from your Audi R8 suspension video. Years later, the stuff you share is still helping people. Hope you know that. Thanks
the true definition off 'driven and detailed'
Dominique Delbecke Hell yeah!
Your technical videos are astonishing. The 964 engine rebuild was probably the best video I've ever seen, and this one is superb. I really appreciate your work.
Larry im a long time fan of your work. But your porsche build is amazing and its inspiring me to build a track car myself. just being able to see all the hard work being paid off is wonderful to see. Keep it up Larry.
it is such a joy to see this build coming together. I remember the first detail of this porsche. You are a genuine person and one of my favorite car guys in YT. Great stuff man shoutout from Puerto Rico i watch you since the f40 paint correction i remember watching all the drive clean ep.You are a real teacher and do a great service worldwide keep up the great work.
These videos are awesome. It's great to see you using this car to it's full potential! Now wait till the speed bug hits, you're always going to want the car to go faster once your skills start improving.
Side note, what a great shop. It's REALLY hard to find a shop like this these days, where they actually do things the proper way and don't try and cut corners
Larry, these video's are something special! So are your products. Every time I use Ammo products I am amazed at my results.
I think I'm addicted to these video's and your products :)
I look forward to getting my hands on more Ammo products in the near future!
Thank u so much
This is just amazing to watch , Larry your the best motivator on every car enthusiast
Man, machine and their journey together.
Love it Larry! Enjoy the seat time behind the wheel of that mean 964!
Wow Larry this is awesome. Your 964 has come so far, I remember the PPI video! It's crazy now! Keep up the good work!
***** It has...it is a fun process. keep me motivated and hungry every day :)
That gentleman from JRZ is so good at explaining suspension stuff! Please do some more videos with him/JRZ. Your car is really coming alive now! Such a work of functional art.
your enthusiasm always shows through and is part of what makes these videos so great. Keep it up! and loved the tire stacking outro.
Great video Larry,
One thing i think this video really shows is the difference between getting an alignment & getting a properly dial in setup.
The Fifteen52's look amazing.
this is the best video across many different channels I've watched in along time.
Great job!
I love learning new suspension things. The adjustability you get with your suspension is the one thing that really forces you to learn more about your car, and yourself as a driver. Welcome to the never ending world of "ehhh i think it could use a little more rebound stiffness"
11:46 Using a spring as a pen holder is an awesome idea haha.
Great video as always Larry!
Best explanation of a suspension change I've ever seen. Thanks.
The guys at SpeedSportTuning really do a great job, and so did Brian of JRZ explaining everything; that adds credibility to the company. Very nice video.
Larry, look at you, look at you! hahah Have a great weekend.
i've been loving all the videos with this Porsche. i'm also absolutely in love with this shop
Very cool, I love how at the start it was noted that you should start with suspension work and make the car handle great before you go throwing a heap of power.. alot of people go the opposite way! Looks like so much fun to be able to just go down to a track like that.. not so easy in Australia
This is really a well setup car. Normally, amateurs beat themselves up over road bumps, not this one. Well done!
You're on a slippery slope Larry, tracking a Porsche is addicting. That's a great feeling coming out of track day session makes the expense it all worth it.
Amazing video again Larry! Love your 964!! Keep the videos coming cant get enough!! Outtake was a nice touch. You should do that at the end of all the video, made me chuckle
I wish you guys went into more specifics on the damper adjustments and how you guys tuned the damper settings. From the viewer's perspective he picked the middle settings and you went on your way.
Awesome video! It's interesting to see how much technical detail goes into these sort of setups.
I find your videos very well put together and informative. What a beautiful car, and the right colour too! Nice work Larry.
Really enjoyed the information found in this video. Thank you for showing all that goes in to a proper suspension set up.
I am so happy you went with the wheels. I tag them on insta before to sponsor you! Great job with the 964! 👍🏼
Great video with great detail on a subject I haven’t seen before. I enjoy your channel and your delivery.
Glad to see you are having a good time.keep up the good work as always.
congrats on the new suspension Larry! the car looks awesome!
Bryan is a great guy! Dealt with him before about my JRZs, does everything he can to help you out
Very nice video. Those guys down that the shop are awesome and are taking great care of your car. They do great work
LOVE ! Your Porsche mod videos ! Thanks Larry
Loving these videos man! They must be unreal to do and film.
can that car be any cleaner? and even better, can it look even better? awesome and proper job Larry, you go the extra mile on every spot. I enjoy your show and work, thanks a lot for sharing! AMMO NYC
Brilliant. I'm looking to dial in a set of AST suspension, and this gave me a good idea what involves in terms of dialing in/going for optimum setup.
Awesome Larry, I love following your progress. Can't wait to get my old VW back on the track! Very inspiring.
I have watched all these vids four times. I want this exact setup! Damn.
I'm getting prepped to lower my 996.2 C2 to Euro specs and am learning there's a lot more to it than just shorter springs. Thanks for a great video.
Glad it was helpful!
happy that you get so far with such an amazing car
I love you're videos and see with how much passion you're into it, its simply amazing.
I have a little question.
I polished my BMW last week and waxed it. It looked amazing. But now there are dust and road dirt on it. What i have to do to maintain this shine without to scratch the paint?
It would be cool if you could get a little more into what corner balancing is and why you choose the alignment specs that you did.
Love the MW wheels....really transformed the look of your car.
Wow what a setup. Larry great video.
Great video man. Glad I found you on here.
These videos just keep getting better
Man that car has come a long way. Those guys a pros. The new rims are very nice as well.
Really cool to see how much you love your car
It's awesome what you've done to your car... I hope one day I can rebuild mine the same way.. just too expensive for me now haha.
Any chance we could see more videos from track days in the future, Larry? The car looks awesome and would love to see more footage of it turning laps! Enjoy it and be safe!
great video - I was going to get some JRZ street series for my toyota 86
Congrats on the new setup.
Great video I hope I can go through a process like this with my car one day.
Congrats Larry, nice job...have fun!!!
Thanks for all this useful information great video like always
This is suspension done right! Awesome video-
A video on how to roll fenders correctly to avoid paint cracking and uneven rolling would be awesome!
man you need to organize your videos
there were a lot of them where you said look at the next vid or something like that
you can't find them.
*but great job on the detailing -one of the best i've seen on RUclips hands down!
awesome work guys...
I love youre videos. So much passion when you talk about what youre doing, simply nice!
i have a question:
What do you do to maintance a polished and waxed car? actually my car was polished and waxed last week but there is now dust and dirt on it....
this is epic..!
great video by the way :D
one word, precise
This is really incredible!
Clear instructions, great!
Those wheels are sick man!!!!
The new rims are sick!!
Excellent video, many thanks for sharing.
Superb video, your car is looking awesome.
AWESOME SETUP
Great video Larry enjoy that car!
:) Nice one Larry, that car is coming together. Liking the 964 decals at the bottom of the front doors.
Only request is publish more content..:)
Cheers, Paolo
The technical level of suspension setup on bikes and cars is immense. Learning how to tune on a bike can translate over to a car.
vidurc The difference is that on bike you need to account for the driver, so all of the measurements need to be made with the driver on it. Anyway it is amazing to see how important the setup is.
Filippo Masoni They corner balanced Larry's car. My assumption is that they accounted for his body weight when the car is in race trim. So with him in it or his weight in the driver's seat each tire's preload is adjusted to give a perfect distribution of its weight on all four wheels.
The car will drive more predictably and handle a lot better. Corner balancing should be done for any coilover setup but more often that not it's ignored.
Völundr Frey Also given the lack of suspension travel you have to be precise down to the millimeter. Sag on a street bike can typically be around 25mm vs a track setup would be 20-22mm. Small difference but it makes such a big difference at speed. Suspension can make or break a car or bike. Understanding the tuning process really brings out the potential of any machine!
vidurc You also need to do it with the driver inside, for a better weight distribution, but it´s more dificult because if you touch the rear left it will also affect the front right, it´s very tricky. In Bikes it really depends a lot on the driver
Alberto Pettine Bikes are much easier to set sag on. Cars on the other hand are a different story. It can get really frustrating
JRZ... very nice set up choice. will be my next for the 993.
makes me want a 964, good job mate
That car is beautiful and really deserving to become a track car. I always believed that Porsche was a track car for the street. This just enforces that idea. Great job
please do more of these!!!! :)
More update videos of the Porsche 964! Love em! :)
Wish there was a shop around here that could do alignments like that to my Mustang.
Fantastic video! The work you put into these really shows. Do you think you could perhaps do a quick video on how to clean foam pads? I know you did one on microfiber but not foam.
If you have a pad washer, that'll help. If not, I wash them with my microfibres, gently.
Beautiful Porsche!
Most Excellent Video!
great stuff bro!
Super cool, best video! Very educational!!!
cool video, would love to see more track footage. I race motorcycles at njmp but love Porsches!
i see that ws thunderbolt, i keep getting lighting days at njmp but this year i have to get time to try TB
So sick!
nice vid man, keep it up.
Awesome video! Just curious - do you get any spring binding up front with this setup when you turn the wheel lock-to-lock like in a parking lot or something? Didn't see any sort of thrust bearings on the strut before you installed it.
Great video, by the way you have my dream job! Cheers
nice suspension setup
I'm an Aussie V8 muscle car guy, but now i think i want a Porsche...wtf is wrong with me hahaha great videos Larry, cool to see the Porsche changing bit by bit.
Could you do a video for steam cleaning / pressure washing the engine and engine bay for a
BMW 3-Series please Larry
Thanks in advance I follow every one of your vids for tips to make my car top quality
Larry, Great stuff. I bought a track car I love with JRZ's and have left them at midway adjustment. Did you leave yours full soft, or click them down?
Great stuff! But no discussion on shock Dyno plots (Reohrig?), ride frequency, spring rates, and actual alignment values. The clicks correspond to what velocity characteristics?
Any discussion on corner scale weight as a function of spring preload and height?
I guess the next step for this car is a 4-post rig and accelerometer measurements?
Larry, I'm in love with your car. Enjoy
awesome car, everything is nicely set up. i feel like the shift throw is a little long though.
