So you will read this, if you already cut a hole in your hood for the wastegate, you might as well just cut another hole and run your downpipe through your hood too. Or just straight pipe the whole exhaust and you will get the flames you want out the rear end or the hood

The exhaust on my 4runner does the exact same thing and I tried everything to fix the rattle and I couldnt figure it out and this just helped me find out the problem. Thank you
maybe you should get a stock BRZ muffler set and try and retro fit it onto the civic. Dual tips just look so dope in my opinion.

I agree! Dual exhaust tips would look so good on that civic if they were on opposite sides. Btw I think it would sound better if you removed the ‘muffler’ / resonator section entirely, then it would be a complete straight pipe!
Oh god please don’t put a dual exhaust on a civic 🤮🤮🤮 just cut the damn rice canister off and weld a pipe to it. Will sound so much better.
AND it will backfire way more. These cheap ass China mufflers don’t have anything inside them. Just that screen mesh.
Why would you put a dual tip, especially on a eg that would be terrible, people may not like the sounds of skunk2 or buddy club cause they may sound like fart cannons but they are for performance and there’s a reason why they’re not dual tip

Hey, I love your videos. You've inspired me to start working on my civic. I have a 96 civic sedan that I want to start modding but I dont have the money to do it. That's why I love the civic budget build. You have great content, keep up the good work
I love the way you organize all your smaller car parts in the glass cabinet.
You guys should do something like a recap on the mods that you've done to the civic. I'm buying a 2002 Focus ST170 and I would love to mod it and make it similar to your civic without expending too much money, and since you've already done it with your car you seem like the perfect people to tell anyone who wants to do this with their car how to propertly do it and what you should do first, what you should be careful about and what you shouldn't do at all.

i love winter summers not my thing i hate feeling hot but i don't mind feeling cold sometimes when i feel ill i find being cold almost numbs the feeling of like sickness or something heat just makes it worse

I done this on my levin, was ok to start with but found the sound proofing rope that was in mine fell down inside and blocked the pipe had to take it all out and became extremely loud 😂

Sounds good to me, actually sounds meaner and im a Honda enthusiasts at heart, built a few to race as well, you should take a look at vibrant mufflers had one on my integra with the b18b1 and it sounded mean deep and throaty sound, love em

I have a stock eg, and my stock muffler had that exact problem. So i just fabbed up a straight pipe in place of that muffler, so no raspyness and it has a deep tone. Maybe try that? Just cut the muffler from the pipe and weld on a straight pipe.

Great video, thanks for taking care of yourself. Please make time to fend off getting burnt out. You'll have to repaint the screamer pipe once you cut it down, please cut it to follow the hood contour. You need new engine mounts, that's why the screamer pipe moves around.
The fix on the exhaust doesnt sound that bad, as far as I'm concerned this is probably one of the coolest budget builds on youtube. Cant wait to see it after its wrapped or dipped
Hello from Italy Robbie, the car looks great, I would remove that tiny toy car spoiler but that's my opinion, I just don't like any kind of spoilers on fwd cars, congratulations for the civic project, I'm following it since day 1, I am building a low boost civic like you just did with yours with the difference that I have an Ej9 ( european version of Ek but with 1.4 non vtec engine in it named d14a3 or d14a4) and that I am doing other upgrades like d16 head with vtec and with stage 3 camshaft and upgraded valvetrain and stuff like arp head bolts etc..

You should make the tip of the screamer pipe bigger like a trumpet so it'll blend more with the hood.

I think you just took the spark arrester out of your muffler not gonna be a big deal but not you could shoot flames out of your exhaust makes sense for more back fires
I just pulled it out on my Nissan didn't change the sound much
So I am a little behind but I have been watching your civic build and am getting caught up on things but so far your build is sweet. I have a 93 si hatch and have been working on getting it turbo'd. Oddly it's red and most of my parts are blue Haha. Can't wait to see how your build progresses.

The screamer pipe looks great painted black, but I really think it would look amazing painted blue to match some of the other accents of the car. Especially once the car is gray, the blue will pop!

That screen holds in any packing that’s in the muffler. The packing is usually just long stringy pieces of fiberglass to deaden sound. If that comes out, you’ll basically just have a “dummy” muffler. The sound will change as well.
Well that screen was what actually muffles some of the sound because sound waves travel into the holes and then bounce around and lose energy meaning quieter Muffler

That's actually the muffler core theres supposed to be fiberglass packing around the core to get a straight through muffler with deep tone. Without packing or the core its basically a straight pipe witch explains the slight rasp
I live in Phoenix AZ... I dont kno "cold" lol we maybe just maybe have a week in the 50°-60°F in January
