Thanks so much Benjamin. You saved the day for me showing how the mounting bracket with the gasket and ring works. I would have never been able to figure out how to remove my old whirlaway without you!
Thank you so very much for posting this video, it saved my brain ( whats left of it). It took me over a half hour to locate this video. It is the only one on the entire internet that reveals the secret to reinstalling this mount. (putting the gasket on the very end of the sink adapter). I had to reinstall an 18 year old "Premier" disposal ( still works great). I could find no information about Premier disposals but I did discover that the same maker also makes "Whirlaway". As far as I know the bottom of the line Premier and the bottom of the line whirl away are the only two disposals that ever used this mounting system. After you revealed the secret to me it went in in a matter of seconds. Thank You Again!!
thank you so much. With your detailed video I was able to install my new Whirlaway 191 with no difficulty what so ever. I've been living with a broken one for a couple of years because the cost to replace it by a plumber was ridiculous to me. I finally had enough and ordered the new one from Amazon then watched your video prior and during my new install. Nice and easy! thanks again Carole
My Whirlaway 291 finally broke, it lasted 14 1/2 years. I ordered the same exact model. Your video will be very helpful in with installation process. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video! I was watching other videos, and none of them said anything about proper placement of the gasket that goes just on the edge of the housing. I put the gasket up too far on the collar and was fighting with it for more than a half an hour before finding your video. You just save me another half hour of frustration! If I could give this video more than one like, I would! Thanks again.
I enjoyed your video. It was very helpful. Thank you! I was trying to remove my disposal to re-seat the drain, and I couldn't figure out how to disassemble the parts. I was stumped! I even went to my local Home Depot to see if they could help me; the guy didn't have a clue. Your video helped to understand that I need to remove the gasket -- which, then, allows the parts to slide apart. Thanks again! P.S. Now that your video explained how the parts go together, I remember the proeess from when I installed the disposal years ago.
Great video. I have had one of these whirlaway garbage disposals for 14 years. I am trying to replace it, finally. I cant get it off of my sink. Think I need to call a plumber.
very impressive, thanks, I just had the same one. Do you happen to know where I can get a new gasket, it's leaky, along the seal where 4 screws are mounted?
Few challenges: 1 - The gasket is a pain to install when you are under the sink and i wish that a better system could be used. You need strong fingers! 2 - If you are alone and cannot support in place the garburator when trying to secure it, use a car jack to bring in up (use book underneath to fill the space between the bottom of your car jack and the bottom of the cabinet), I have a 191 which is 20 years old and weigh lots.
192 Whirlaway - I just WON the *Dumbshit of the year Award!* - Again! 10 months after installing successfully, I was sucking the water out of the dishwasher and troubleshooting why it hasn't been draining and watched this video and realized I never knocked out the garbage disposal/dishwasher drain plug! sheet! Thanks Benjamin!
Correct, mine is leaking and the leak is an easy fix but putting the crap back together. 2 hours later I am watching this video. Now, that crap is going in the trash plus it has been 7 years so it has rusted. It will be a waste to fight it.
Thanks this video helped me also !!!!!!
Really good video, thanks!
Your Instructions were a life saver. Thank you so much for your time and demonstrations.
Thank you! I have a *whirlaway 291* model and it's almost identical to the 191. This video *HELPED* tremendously! I can't thank you enough!

The inside screw holding the chopper down finally gave out.
As well where is Part 2?
Can it be unclogged?
