I love D.I.C.E. It's my childhood. I can't believe people don't remember or even forgotten it. I hope someday they can bring back D.I.C.E. with a remake/reboot. I really miss it. It was basically like Transformers and Gundam. It was a unique series that more fans need to get into. I'm thankful for people in the Anime community that still remembers the classics like I do. And live to tell the tale of the great Anime series like D.I.C.E. I myself enjoys bringing up classic Anime to people who don't know them, just to see if anyone remembers them or not. But seriously it needs a remak/reboot badly for newer and older Anime fans alike.
This is one of those series that I occasionally remember the tiniest fragments of, like an invisible splinter in my mind. Glad to finally learn a bit about it, aside from faint memories of perhaps a small handful of episodes I saw as a kid.
Speaking of which, I realized that they're called DICE but they're just an organization name and the team we're looking at was F-99. So that means like Power Rangers and Ultraman, there's more teams other than this which could benefit from a reboot from year to year if done consecutively. 2:26 - 2:30, XD 3:19, Also Chau is voiced by none other than Megaman X's Lucas Gilbertson. If you know the man he voiced, you win a cookie. 10:15, speaking of development it turns out the guy who designed the mechs and designs for this show was also an alumni of Studio OX for Japanese TF G1 artwork and would go on to make designs for Zyuranger which would become something obscure. (If you get the joke, you get it.) 12:25, Peter Cullen...you're just the best. 12:50, it's like a cross between Sonic Adventure 2's mech stages with Shatterhand's drone attack system. 15:40, oh look. A pink ranger with a pterodactyl without resorting to MMPR. This and Dinozone really are alternatives tbh. 15:53, ANKYLOZORD!! 16:54, GEEPERS! I didn't know that! 17:20, Another dimension, a new galaxy. Nay. The entirety of the mechas from Magiranger/Mystic Force considering that style of combo. A toy of these guys are possible. Considering that Magiranger and Mystic Force were airing at the same time, this could've been amazing to see. 21:00, I was thinking of F-Zero GX's end credits. Boss. 21:20, DICE manages to be aired in Singapore thankfully with all episodes left intact. 21:34, XD 21:40, don't forget Winspector, Exceedraft and Solbrain which was what this took inspiration for their rescue shtick including Lightspeed Rescue which another anime called Machine Robo Rescue might have took inspiration from. 22:52, in a world where nostalgia is basically eating itself, the world needs MORE DICE than ever before. Maybe make a new team of DICE after what happened in Season 1. Let a new team or one who felt the 12 men's tampering caused them to fix the mistakes of what happened there and become an independent team of heroes.
Thank you so much for doing this. I watched it all the way back in 2007 in spacetoon arabic it had one amazing opening song, i used to love it so much it was one of the main popular shows that used to air back then and i didn't even know it was for an American audience, i though it was another Japanese anime. I tried rewatching it again latter but it's like it never existed couldn't find it anywhere not even the toys or the game where available back then it was just the show, man i really wish i got my hand on one of those toy dinobrakers. Great to finally get to know the story behind one of my favorites shows when i was a kid, so nostalgic and had some amazing story Lore, world building. Wish it had some more recognition but at least it was finished with a satisfying end.
@@DM_GLAUCON Yeah, i still have PTSD from those 3D animations like that worm that came straight from hell to tell you that water evaporate at 100 Degree Celsius 😂 But for real they did a great job considering all the things that where going around them (wars and terroristes and all..). One thing i still like about them are the catchy opening songs that they used to either dub from the original or just straight up creat a new one. I remember that i used to sing the opening songs with my mom she said it helped me learn and pronounce classical arabic since if you know most arabic songs are sang in the local dialects depends on each country so other then hearing classical arabic in religious stuff it was a new and an enjoyable thing some openings even out done there japanese counterparts. While spacetoon was my first anime gate way we still have the MBC's and cartoon network they came out latter with neckelodeon and disneyXD shows for mbc3 and obviously CN dubing it's own stuff but they never did it quite original and creative like spacetoon did.
I was at San Japan 2024. At the swap meet section, someone traded me a boxed figure w/ a DVD containing the first 5 episides. The figure reminded of the anime LBX
Ive seen a few episodes back when it released.. Did anyone else get "80s" or "Voltron-esque" vibes? The character "Jet" has 80s character hair cut... like he went to the barber and said, "gimme the thundercats, wily kit and kat" "Say no more fam"
Such a cool show and enjoyed it as a kid...but then i never seen the ending :( i think? Im gonna rewatch it all. The show also like a mix of power ranger, trasnformers and thunderbirds.

Finally someone else who remembers that D.I.C.E. had a PS2 game. And here I thought I was the only one who remembered this Anime had a video game.
This is some high quality production dude, keep it up!
Right back atcha! Thanks so much

"Babe, wake up, new Glaucon dropped!"
I love the Toonami inspired aesthetic. I'm totally subscribing to this.
God I love revisiting this video. D.I.C.E. rules

Great review bro, I forgot about this! GTR!
I used to watch it in arabic on this channel called spacetoon when i was a kid, and it had one of the best intro songs of all time.
i thought this series was a fever dream! i played the game so much lol, and watched some episodes on youtube

Thanks for sharing! I actually had no idea about Spacetoon before making this. Love their 3D animated bumpers

I'm glad someone finally talked about this.
Transforming dinosaur vehicles. In other words, my childhood.
This seems like a cool channel… Imma subscribe
This show was the bomb
Great video. I appreciate the Toonami-like aesthetic. I hope you cover IGPX and it’s PS2 game as well.
Been meaning to give that a watch. Really want to talk about futuristic racing games at some point
Such a cool show and enjoyed it as a kid...but then i never seen the ending :( i think? Im gonna rewatch it all. The show also like a mix of power ranger, trasnformers and thunderbirds.
Only ever watched a short clip of DICE on the Cartoon Network website. Wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of it.
D.I.C.E. is nice!
I thought me nd my friend were the only 1's who remembered this
The way the robot looks like it’s from the early 2000s or like from the play station
I hope if we can get the ost of Dice anime
Dude you can unlock Phantom Knight and other Dinobreaker pilots you just need to have Rank S From stage 1-16
I think another reason why this show gets ignored is that some also consider D.I.C.E as a Zoids clone.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention this. I guess Zoids did the sentient animal mecha thing first
@@DM_GLAUCON D.I.C.E and Zoids had a rivality because are produced by diferent production
Please do videos on Spider Riders & LBX
What does gtr stand for
It's actually never explained. Remember I found this old forum post debating what it meant. Best answer I saw was "Good to roll"
It also means "Got The Request"
Holy hell it's seven years
