Got the one from Ali, had to grind all the edges to prevent it from damaging my carbon steerer. I also disassembled it and the axle is different from the original... Just ordered an original elastomer to try it out (I find the included ones to bee way too soft). If I like the stem I'll buy the original when I find a good deal.

okay nice. The aliexpress stem did seem functional, but unfinished. Sounds like you did some finishing work yourself haha. The elastomers between the real and the aliexpress stem seemed indistinguishable from each other, but hopefully you find one stiff enough.

Great video. I wouldn't trust my life for $50 on that stem. With the reputation of Chinese knockoffs it's not worth the risk. That clamp difference is bad news. Torque down that clamps on your bars and it could crush it and not hold the bar securely.
