The movement of the Jacket over Arties breast was why he is such a great comedian.. the subtlety at the perfect moment was all planned out and orchestrated to perfection!
Gilbert did a spot on Artie impression on Howard. When Howard went over Artie's appearance on Letterman about the bass slide, that was so funny! I cannot find it on RUclips, saw it once. Fred kept playing the bass slide on the Howard Stern show.
ok I used to be a big Stern fan 1990-2010..Let's correct a few things..First #1 movie is not accurate- it only made $46 million after 2 years of free promotion from Howard on the air..It was a good movie..The 1994 PPV was the biggest waste of $50 ever ,it was a horrible show..I enjoyed both his books..And the soundtrack to his movie,he had nothing to do with any production or writing of anything on it...his job was to promote it..why didn't you bring up "Son of a beach" on FX that was horrible ,and Howard Tv that he was forced to cancel in 2013 due to low subs..And what about "50 ways to rank your mother?'..
Man... the Stern Show really harnessed his true talents; he's an average stand-up, but quite literally the best improvisational one-liner guy and comedic story-teller I've ever heard. Sadly, he's back to his old ways now. I'd be surprised if he makes it to 55. He's as big a mess these days as he was back then, and it is sad to see. He brought be a lot of great laughs for more than a decade.
Matthew Smyth totally agree. i've heard people say 'the audio quality is poor' and stupid stuff like that. it's from his kitchen and it's one of the most entertaining things on the planet. i don't mind that it's not in a studio.
the audio is just like any other show..the people who say that are the ones to cheap to pay $6.95 a month..Yes he does repeat some jokes but hes funny as hell and a master story teller.
Artie's wearing the exact same outfit on Feb 2008 and June 2008 appearances -- right down to the same maroon-purple shirt with the white stripe at the collar. Only difference is the beard and 15-20 pounds.
I can tell all the people who bad mouthed him here has never listened to howard stern show because artie lange is super likeable and funny! Also - He won 42k at a casino the other weekend and just started handing out 100 dollar bills just because he's that kind of super generous guy.
These were not talk shows like Johnny Carson or Merv Griffin talk shows where it was impromptu. These shows are rehearsed, preplanned and agreed to BEFORE the show starts. Arties' people talked to David's people and it was decided what they would 'discuss' this way Artie (or whoever) could be equipped with stories and jokes. This gives the sleeping audience the illusions two people are just chatting when in fact it's a performer performing while sitting down.
listen to the nick and artie show! he's hilarious on that as well. and you get him mixing it up with nick dipaolo so it's just hilariousness all over the place
It’s sad. He was so talented and as these interviews from 2003 to present he got fatter and looked more homeless. I’m glad he’s kinda doing better now.
I hate that Dave cut him off even though he was about to do a wrap up joke. I get he probably had people in his ear telling him to, but recognise where we’re at in the story and make a judgement call.
It doesn't matter where you're from he seems like he could be one of your buddies telling a story that could have happened to you or one of your friends. Hope he's doing well.
I love living vicariously through Artie's sloth
Me, through his GLUTTONY.
Artie is an old school story teller. Fucking genius.
Lies. Not stories. Lies. Nothing here is funny.
@@exitstay1955 stay mad. You don’t know anything and you’re angry at yourself Bessie of how stupid you are
Amen 🖤

I could watch this interview 10 times . . . Artie killed it
Artie is not funny by himself. Jeeeeeeeeez.
I did…still funny on the 11th
Artie and his ol' pal Norm, two of the greatest talk show guests ever!
MAAAN I MISS THIS VERSION OF ARTIE
Too bad they removed his Bob Uecker clip. Odd that it was up for years.
Here's something of him talking about Bob to letterman
ruclips.net/video/utXml-wz_Uw/видео.htmlsi=0PAlfOZo4-umVahy
Howard is nothing without Artie.
thank u sir

Howard invested big time in Artie and when he had to leave it definitely hurt the show- no doubt about that
thank you for saying it
Howard is nothing .. period.never was....

He is very early here. Listen to his podcast, he is about 100x funnier than he is here because he is leashed.
I'd recommend watching the joe rogan podcast. Hes clean now
I go on and watch these old letterman interviews, there just are not interviews like this anywhere on tv anymore
Artie is such a great story teller and funny man! Really hope he pulls it together seems like a genuine good person
4:10 "Frankie doesn't look like a guy who's sensitive to plight of the homosexuals" LOL

@Wynn that comment was 14 years ago, but yes, yes he was.
I love you Artie! Stay well man
@MrtzMrngr i think he's doing alright now lets HOPE he stays that way
MrtzMrngr he’s about 9 months sober so good for him
MrtzMrngr actually at the point of your comment he had been sober
Hahahah right before the feed cuts off, it sounds like Dave says “we’ll be right back, we’re gonna do a little Heroin” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😛
Nah, I think he’s saying the name of the next guest
@@harrydrake4173 I said it sounds like it, not stating it’s what he actually said.
Emmylou Harris
Awww. Loved Artie
Masterful. Might be the best Letterman segment ever
Calm down. Howard's appearances are far superior
Stain on his shirt lol
What a talent Artie Lange is

Artie is a genius. Always a good guest on these talk shows.
The EXACT SAME outfit he wore on Letterman on Feb 1, 2008
artie has the best stories
Art Lang is the greatest.

that's not a secret to anyone..you would hear Howard and Artie talk about their "pre interviews" all the time..
I knew he was going to be on Letterman but forgot to record it so I'm really glad you posted this. Artie was great!!!
He wore the exact same outfit for both appearances in 2008
Get well Artie u the man
He wore the exact same clothes from 02/01/08 on letterman.
i love this guy. i relate to his family life. hes a good guy, the type that can be the ordinary joe's buddy.
Who is Artie's stylist?
+elvis316 with the Big Dog sweater lol
I believe Artiest stylist was heroin at this point. Possibly pills, maybe both.
I believe it was Fat Lauer.
In his book he talks about just rolling out of bed and doing these interviews.
His pillow
Artie was great 👍 he should do a sitcom I love all his movies 4 stars 4 movies
Don’t miss dave but Artie is such a great interview 😂🎉🥂🇺🇸✝️🇺🇸✝️

gh0stman of course - he’s never been more than a few months clean
Good at eating and wiffle ball. Dude I laughed out loud and I almost never laugh out loud

He’s doing amazing now. He’s the thinnest he’s ever been and sober.
@@martonfitness doing better and better in 2021
Dave was always a stickler about dressing sharp. Goddam I miss him so much.
Artie's personality can carry any outfit.
Funny as hell, as always!
The stain is gonna be his thing, like Nelly with the band aid.
Artie the man
Hard to differentiate between appearances cuz same outfit
can someone confirm is artie wearing the same clothes in this other letterman appearance ruclips.net/video/fumu0PUHMOE/видео.html
youre looking a lot better, artie my man!

Artie is my hero
Funny ass dude. Beer league 1 of the funniest films I've ever seen
Reminds of John Belushi.

His first season of Mad TV he was really handsome.

They looked like the cast of Sopranos.. but less sophisticated.. hahahahah
3:50 can you imagine that joke getting told today on Steven Cobert?

That was a Johnny line: it has been warm lately
very cool
did anyone else die at "im a spin class obstructor", this guy had such talent sad to see it all go to waste.
It's not going to waste. Listen to his podcast. Dunno wtf you want him to be.
Lol you act like he is dead. He still alive man and 9 months sober. Was just on the Rogan show
I know it’s been said a million times, but that’s when comedy was funny.
artie is destroying himself. Fans don't wanna see that..no matter how funny he is. good thing he's on radio!
he is just like him
it was 08, he did a fill in

Following a Stripper is never easy
I pray for him ..i hope hes well
he could play the dude from the family guy

that was pretty damn funny
The title of his book didn't come from that story. It was supposed to be called to fat to die. He tried to kill himself and it didn't work.
good retraction he is one of the highest paid comics in the world, probably means he's not that much of a hack
It's traction dunbass
So is David Brenner.
fuckijg hilarious
eating and wiffleball lol
Yes he did return, and he will return again when he goes back to rehab in 2009.
I wish Artie would get it together... he's too fucking funny!
If you followed Artie closely...you can tell he's LOADED here. He's still very funny here, but this was a dark time for him.
