That comment about "Jimmy Fallon not being Conan" was an understatement. Conan has more talent in his left nostril than Fallon's got in his entire career.

That clip had me laughing so hard I cried, Artie is just a natural old school comedian of the darker nature. Conan is more cerebreal. Love that they are friends.

    Artie and Howard called it.
Man I wish I could make a time machine and go back in time to change history so that Conan would just remain at Late Night where he belonged. In my opinion, when Conan took over Late Night from Letterman, he not only filled the shoes properly but elevated the show to a new and more modern level.

this was probably the funniest guest on conan i have ever seen, artie was just straight up talknig about heroin and you could tell how like awkward it was and how conan wanted him to tstop, hes this big jolly guy just chillin talking bout things you would not normally say on conan... amazing

  • @WelshDegenerate

A lot of people just don't appreciate some of his darker humour because they haven't been there.
I'm depressed as fuck and 99% bi-polar but funny too and I can totally appreciate his humour. When people gasp and go "oh wow this guy's messed up" they just don't realize he's trying to be funny.
If you're in a dark place = your humour will be dark, as will all your comments and outlook. Your moods shape your perspective. I never used to like him that much but he's grown on me.

yeah i was just throwing that out there because once they began looking for a replacement way back when, i thought he would be perfect. He was always great on the show and is a phenomenal stand-up. artie is pretty cool too and he has some interesting stories. my best memories of the show are from the era of jackie and billie west and when sam kinison would come in all sozzled. take care.

Conan was already rich beyond his wildest dreams. It's not always about money, especially when you already have more than you ever thought you had.
As opposed to Jay, who still insists on getting paid when he goes to an open mic night to test new jokes. Never mind that he's worth about $300M, he's got to get that extra $2k testing his safe jokes that everybody else has already thought of.

Yeah I seen Stern on Late Night with Conan.....And he did say Conan should watch out Jay is a person who hides in closets to eavesdrop and Make his way ahead....Jay is a Shady person he hung around knowing his 10 o clock show would be cancelled just so he can take the tonight show back...Anyone else would have jumped off the sinking ship known as NBC and went to a different network...I hope Conan does well on TBS. but hell he still has 40 million dollars.

  • @tonytheappraiser

I have to disagree with you. Howards show is what makes Artie a star. If Howard stopped his show today, Artie's shows would not sell out anymore. He wouldn't have a national forum in which to plug it with the listenership that Howard has. Don't get me wrong. Artie is a funny guy and I laugh my ass off at the things he says. But to say Howard is nothing without Artie is really an insult to the show.
