absolutely love how you preserve the artist's original style while suggesting substantial changes for improvement! always learn a lot from these shorts
My reference is either Google the image very specific like "short haired woman looking up" and you can choose more of that. My other option is to take a selfie either with the help of a tripod for proportion. I often use my lamp or flash light to shine light in parts I want to draw and make it black and white so I can see the shades and lights easily. And for color matching using real paint is knowing what basic colors are made like beige. White and black will be your best friend and understand "warm" or "cold" colors can help add into colors of your choice. For example, "the dark skin tone looks dead. Knowing that humans have blood and blood is red, add a tinge of red to make it look alive." Also having mirrors in front of you can be useful for reference for expression.
@@Chainsmokers. I usually use Pinterest when finding a reference for like the overall photo but for these references like he pulls up on how to draw a nose etc those are really good references lol
I love the way you explain things and give positive feedback along with the tips. I feel like I'm learning a lot from you too. Thank you for the videos!
Now this. Is what fixing is, not remaking it and saying you fixed it. THIS IS FIXING!!!! I love how you keep the original artists style instead or like Samdoesart or stuff
Bro im obsessed with these videos, not only do they teach me how to draw but he also gives useful criticism and doesn't just change the entire piece like, bro I love you for this
I must say you got much better at art critiques, precisely because you keep the original drawing's elements while fixing or improving only the parts that don't work out, like anatomical mistakes. And of course, you explain why and how to fix those, which is always useful.
Этот человек действительно хороший учитель ❤ Объясняет всë просто, доходчиво, без воды, при этом не ломая оригинальный стиль и не подстраивая стиль под себя. Просто выдаëт базу. Это очень круто Миру не хватает таких учителей ❤
i am SO HAPPY you are back angel!!!!! i remember seeing you everywhere a few years back and wondered where u went! ur shorts are already helping me learn new things 😁😊
Ok, so I see different TYPES of lighting. What are the official names of those lighting, and what ORDER do you usually apply them in when making something? Cause I think it'd be easier if I thought of every light type in steps.
i would also work on the eyes, specifically the eyelashes since they look like they're growing out straight from the eyes and their growth direction isn't quite right
Yeah but that didn’t look natural. I’ve done the same thing. Covering the ear just to realized I was doing the hair wrong and now I have to draw an ear. Her head was tilted so the hair would not be covering the ear
Yeah but it can kinda be one of those "only show one eye because I don't know how to make the other match" things.. even if that's not the case, when an artist completely hides one eye or one hand, it can give the viewer that impression (if it's not done right that is😅)
I like how you say “improve” instead of “fix” to show that these are just suggestions to make the art better and not like “your drawings broken it needs to be fixed2!2)2&/!” Like some artists do
My specialty is faces when it comes to drawing! Here is a couple tips! Use a protractor! You can use this to line up the degree and half point of the ruler to your midline! This keeps all the angles in place! Should I post a tutorial or live on how this works? This method improved my drawings exponentially!
I was looking at it at first at the beginning. I’m like oh that’s actually really good and then I saw what he changed them like the first one I can see a lot of mistakes.

Such small changes, yet they made a world of difference
FIRST REPLYYYY
the face is so finicky, because if you misplace something by just a frigging millimeter, suddenly your brain is like "UNCANNY VALLEY!!!!"
Shadow correcting and colours and shapes and everything else are such small things but changes it a lot😊
@@Caffeinated_Firefly no fr tho
I really like the texture they put in the eyes. The changes definitely completed it!
Agreed!!
Yeah, it looks like some kind of hard candy
whatsapp eyes
Drywall eyes go hard
You did magic with the nose, holy shit 😮
I love how he actually improves and gives directions instead of just changing the entire art style and/or not saying anything.
Yeah he always explains what he's doing and why so people can actually learn! It's so nice to see
I need help on finding good references like you find for the videos. You always pull up a perfect reference for all these pictures lol

one of the craziest "transformations" with minimal changes, both artists great job!!
It looks so much better wtf

Angel! Your way of teaching is so nice and sweet 👏🏼 loving this new era.
Angel, you’re absolutely amazing! Well done to you and the community you’re building. ❤
I have never been able to draw a nose from that angle 😂 the struggle is real
Its honestly amazing how simple changes like a few darker shadows amd small anatomy shuffling can improve a drawing so much!!
това е наистина добро! Обичам как не критикуваш художника и не променяш стила на изкуството!
Woah that's amazing

I love how before he improves someone's art, he tells them how good the drawing is. ❤
Finally, she can breathe 😂😂😂
i mostly do cartoonist illustrations but angel genuinely inspired me to do paintings. I absolutely love the way he teaches others.
One of the best artists on social media
He's been doing this and helping everyone get better FOR YEARS
Bro i love ur content 😭😭😭 it helps me so much
Even the slight changes to the mouth and eyebrows help the drawing so much! There are so many little things to worry about in art
At first I'm like oh good drawing at the end I see the imperfections
I love how you adapt to each artists styles

"And this is the back of a hayrrr" GOT ME DYING 💀
Concise information, helpful advice without feeling condescending nor pretentious. A+ 🙏☝️
the way he says hair tickles my brain…
As someone who has 0 experience with drawing, this is absolute sorcery. This man has powers and you cannot convince me otherwise
The “did we improve this drawing” is always so innocent and the way he uses to word “we” instead of “I” is great too! Love this guy ❤
"You also forgot to add the second ear" THAT MADE ME LAUGH FOR SOME REASON
i actually never noticed the shadow under the nose was an M shape! that makes it so much easier to visualize

U made it very good
It reminds me of Esmeralda from mobile legends💀
The hair shadow is a great fact, but in my style for example I don't do it since I...idk...I just don't really do it anymore for whatever reason...😂
I love how he isn’t roasting them out, he’s just being honest about the art
The m shadow on the nose blew my mind, such a game changer
I just love how he says hair😭
“You forgot to add the second ear” got me laughing
Such a good result°
This artist has a lot of potential and with your guide here, theyre going to make some amazing works!
I lovee her drawing and yes you did your job well as usual ❤
It’s crazy what a difference shadow makes! Definitely need to work on that for myself.
The lips are drawn so well
The “HAIER” never gets old😂
damn u made it look stunning
The shading made the drawing look so fancy in the after omg
i am SO HAPPY you are back angel!!!!! i remember seeing you everywhere a few years back and wondered where u went! ur shorts are already helping me learn new things 😁😊
it’s crazy how artists can often just forget to draw the ear lmao
I can’t unhear heir😭-
i always think “wow that’s a good drawing!!” then i see the little improvements you make and i think “wow those little things really do matter!!”
THIS IS YOUR FIRST TRY? If this was my first try, at this point I would have conquered the world.

The M (mc donald's) got me on the floor 😂😂😂
“This is the front of the HÆIR,This is the side of the HÆIR and this is the back of the HÆIR”
Lol😂
I would add a little bit of colder undertones to skin and some green reflections to get this character feel like it belongs to the background.
Omg i just realised why my drawings always look like they have a pig nose!!
This guy is a master
The eyes were still a bit crooked but both of the versions are awesome.
Its amazing really❤❤❤but I think you should have actually changed the eyes a bit by adding shading and the eyelashes. 🤔
as soon as he showed it at the start, ik the nose was a problem, well done for improving this!
I love the way u say hair 😭😭😭😭🫶🫶
Moving the nose mad it look so much better than it already was
That changed a lot keeping the artwork the same, wow
I’ve watched so many of your videos that I had a dream about fixing a drawing just like how you do it 🙂↕️

She didn’t forget to add the second ear. She meant to draw it like the front of the hair is covering the ear while the other isn’t.
If it was covering it then the hair would go over the face but it isn’t
Yeah but that didn’t look natural. I’ve done the same thing. Covering the ear just to realized I was doing the hair wrong and now I have to draw an ear. Her head was tilted so the hair would not be covering the ear
