Just going back a d watching videos from before I knew about your channel and heard you ask about where to buy equipment parts. Ive had good luck with ConEquip. I found them on Facebook and called them up. Prices were cheaper than my Bobcat dealer, I got an OEM part (center swivel for my excavator), quick shipping, and probably the best customer service I've ever gotten when dealing with equipment parts. They called me a week or so after i got the part to make sure it fit, worked, and I was happy. I couldn't believe it, ive never had anyone do that before. I know its too late now for what you were needing this time, but if you ever need parts again, give them a call.

That was a bit "hairy" Sam. I thought we were going to have a leisurely stroll along a creek. That was really steep and I`m doing my usual " hanging on with my eyelashes" trick
A pretty property, I bet it looks lovely when the trees are in leaf and the grass is green. We don`t get change of season here in Queensland, where I`m living at the moment.
Everything just keeps on growing. We call brush cutters, "slashers" here. Nice Message. You remind me of my Grannie ( and I don`t mean you look like an old lady). She gave me a bible
when I was about 10, and when she asked me if I was reading it , I said Icouldn`t understand it. From that day on every time I visited, or she came to our house she would sit me down on her armchair read passages and explain them to me. Hearing you do this for us was so familiar to me. thank you.

Have to be hanging off the side of a hill to keep it interesting. It is a nice property in the spring for sure. Well, I've never been compared to a Grannie, lol! Sounds like a good Grannie who loved the Lord and wanted to share Him with you. It is my desire to share the Bible in an understandable way. So, thanks you for that and God Bless...

Need one of those on an excavator for trimming fence lines with over hanging limbs, also be good around steep pond banks when you can't get to close. The mulcher may work pretty well on small over hanging limbs but I think it would be a bit slower. I usually hand trim limbs with pole saw and then mulch up with brush cutter on tractor. Funny thing is my pole saw gets tired quickly 😂 they make some attachments for tractor loaders but it can be a little difficult to get positioned correctly without scratching up your tractor from other limbs etc...

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Год назад +1

A mower attachment would be great for that. Idigit4 has one and uses it occasionally. The mulcher would definitely be slower at it. Funny thing is my tool that require labor gets tired quick too. Some of them just out right refuse to work. I've seen the mowers that side mount on a tractor loader and seem to work good but getting in right angle was a challenge for them...

Thank you Sam for another real good video and message.
I've been watching your videos they have all been good. Just haven't made too many comments. Spent a few days in the hospital, I swelled up pretty good. Fluid retention. Lost nearly 40lbs of fluid in those 3 days and another almost 15 in a couple weeks at home. I truly felt like a water balloon. Lol. I'm not a little person anyway. But I had no idea skin could stretch that much. It was mostly in my legs. Then when my arm doubled overnight, I decided I better go get checked. (I'm a little stubborn about going to doctors).
Chemo has made it hard to keep food down. Now I have to go in when my wife gets off work here soon, cuz my port site has become infected.
I'm kinda getting bummed with all these things going on.i don't mean to sound like a debbie downer. Lol
So I look forward to your videos and message at the end.
Keep up the good work and the good fight.

What would you charge for a job like this? Just trying to get an idea because I’m interested in getting into this. Seen you recommended starting small with like you did with the cat259d and 72 inch brush cutter. And are you glad you went with track over wheels?

    • @tristardiggin

Thanks Johnny! I generally have a $600 minimum on jobs like this which would basically be changing for a half day. This job was close by so I would do a half day on it. But if it was a good distance away I would have charged a 1 day minimum of $1200. Hope that helps and wish you well on your start up…

Great video!! Very satisfying. Does the brush hog steal a lot of your tracking and turning power? I see you’re about to be doing an undercarriage. I made a set of track bars Friday night. I’m a one man show too and throwing a track can be tough. So I made these track bars to be able to put tracks back on quick and easy by myself. Thought about making a video of making them but some company makes them and sells them so I didn’t wanna be that guy. But check em out if you don’t know what they are. Pretty awesome way to remove and install tracks. Great message today. Thanks for another great video.

    • @tristardiggin

Doesn't really rob any power unless you are cutting thick stuff and bogs mower down. It does a great job in this type material. I'm very interested in the track bars. Haven't heard of those. Thanks and appreciate your comment on the message. Do I just Google track bars?
