Looks good man. Im in the process of buying a Jeep j10 131 inch wheel base.. so i think its the 8ft bed. But based on his pics. The beds rusted out on top. The sides arent TOO bad but its there.. floorboards in the cab are gone. Frame is rusted but its just that surface rust that frames get.. deff is 100% solid. Of course ive done rust repair on my 90... Major frame rust by the gas tank. Shock mounts (which all fsj have in one form or another) rear of frane.. leaf spring box mounts in rear were all gone.. body mounts all rusted out.. missing the rubber in fact lol.. floors were bad too. But i did it.. 6 years later its daily driven compliments all over and youd never know it had thag rust. I cut it all out and welded new metal or donor peices. Now on the FSJ forums. Everyone is saying stay away from this Jeep that Jeep stay away from the j10 im looking ay. Floorboard rust is 100% common.. bed rust ? Common even in california. I sware people dont wanna fix anything anymore. I could get this Jeep by trading my lever action henry 44 magnum rifle thats it.. yes my rifle i feel is worth more at 900$ and the truck has no title.. So id have to go the vermont title loophole way. But still.. once i fix the rusted bed and floors right.. put carpet in it. Clean her up snd wire wheel the surface rusted frame and paint. Itll be worth a crap ton more than 500-1000$. My main concern is actually a good drive train.. Id rather cut floors and the bed sections out than rip out an engine and trans.. Plus i need a pickup for my 14 acres lol
Thank you for watching and your truck sounds pretty close to what we have lol. But that's all it takes to get a good looking truck back on the road is a little elbo grease and a few late nights and boom a nice price of history that will last another 40 years but it is crazy how cheap you are able to get these trucks but yeah I completely agree with what you said about it fix em up and drive them and no need to change the drive train unless absolutely necessary but everything always works out in the long run for everyone's projects and yes somebody did a temporary patch in our cab floors already which we will change out soon and the bed rust is also there too and has been patched on as well!
There will be more coming out soon had to put a few project before it but will be uploading more on it soon but everything is going really good and turning out great did a small few mechanical things off camera like a new carb and so new gaskets on the axles but moving along been drive ng it to get the problems fix in it!
