An absolutely phenomenal Optimus Prime. Only downsides for me are the holes in the windows and the smokestacks being loose but you could see that as a G1 homage! Robot mode is spectacular, the vehicle mode is as well and the trailer size is really impressive. The trailer itself looks excellent. This figure just looks amazing next to the other Autobots and I agree that the chrome wouldn’t work as it’s not animation accurate. Honestly I don’t know what else to say, I was going to comment about whether G1 Autobot Cars fit but you covered that pretty much right after I thought about it.
Was not expecting Reactivate Optimus to be about the same size. I kinda wish they would retool that one into a G1 version as it has one of my favorite transformation schemes for a Prime.
@@TrueKoalaKnight reactivate prime is a monster. I didn’t realize how much bigger he was from all the other cab over primes until a set them all side by side the other day.

Well technically in some screens the truck's bumper and grill were chrome, that's how you saw the reflections of the Decepticons as he ran them over (as you pointed out in the middle of the video). That said, I don't mind silver paint instead. Chrome would've popped but they don't do those anymore

Im gonna be honest, im a little bit.. disappointed? I feel like they couldve done something to cut down the backpack. ER prime was one possible clever step away from being perfect in that department. Also, incredibly disappointed that the axe is made out of the same plastic that the blast effects are, because that means I can't ever display him with it because the plastic will melt. Still getting him, but he's more of a sidegrade and an upgrade to ER for me.

The one literally sticking out in that group shot is Ultra Magnus. To me he seems too big in robot mode. I have Kingdom Magnus, do you think it's worth upgrading if you like your figures to scale nicely with eachother?
Great review, and rundown. This is literally one of the first Transformers I've seen in Mainline who looks so spot on if I didn't know any better I'd swear this is one of Studio7s nontransforming releases lined in with other Transformers. Not surprised Prime scales about the same as Reactivate as that one already towers over the Earthrise release. Really surprised though how close in proportions the SS trailer is the with the original. A fun comparison would be alt mode vs the original Classics release as he's roughly the same size as the Reactivate in truck mode though he has a lot more heft, while Reactivate is a lot lighter. Love the headsculpt as the eyes don't get lost in the blue like the Earthrise. I can see Prime looking pretty silly with 86 Bee's tiny blaster. Seriously can not wait for this to release.

I would not be surprised if they decided to have a battle-damaged variant as a 2-pack with SS86 Megs some time after the latter comes out.

This version is a different class over the siege one. I’ve literally got all 4 ultra Magnus releases from wfc but the new one is so much better
