- Hi everyone and welcome to the third episode of The Spinning Chronicles! This is a very exciting episode for me as I have recently started dying my own fibre! Once I get more confident I am going to start sharing episodes of my dye process and willl add some hand dyed fibre to my shop! I am using 100% Merino and I decided to do a fractal spin to really showcase the colours!

The sunshine last week was so welcome after all the rain we've had and your kiddis getting to enjoy it.
I even managed to get my first outing of the year, after being stuck inside, well not really stuck,🤣🤣 but the cold and wet doesn't like me or I don't like it, not sure which way round that goes 🤔🤔🤔
I'm glad that I have my Spinning, Knitting and Crotcheting to keep me busy.
I'll have to watch your tutorial for the Granny Cape. It does look amazing.
I have Drop Spindles, the Nano 1.1 and the eWheel 6, I wouldn't be able to use a Treadle Wheel 🎡 due to arthritis in my Spine and also have Fibromyalgia and problems with my feet, that's why I don't get out much. 🤗🤗

@@jenniferbrighty5120 oh bless you! That's the amazing thing about the internet is you can connect with fibre friends from all over the world! I purchased a Nano 2 right at the beginning of my spinning journey but I'm not that great at using it. I like to spin quite thick and I think the Nano prefers finer yarn 😆 I was struggling to get uptake on the bobbin but I do keep thinking about getting it out and trying again!

It's amazing isn't it. I try not to overthink the whole process and just go with the flow! I'm saving up my hand spun for a chunky cardigan in the winter 🥰

Pahaha it says no effing swearing but in naughty terms 😆 I noticed it when I checked the final edit and was like oooooh nooooo as I know I have a young audience too so that's why I covered it up! 🙈😆
Think I'd have put both beautiful bobbins of colour with a one colour all the way through,so like an orange and then your dyed one..

Thank you! Yes that's always another way to do it! It's quite hard to say how long the process took as I did it all in stages and once it was dyed I admired for a few weeks before finally deciding to spin it. If I was here on my own I definitely could have spun and plyed in the same day but as I have kiddies I had to do it over the course of a few days 😆
@CraftandaCuppa oh yeah, totally get the family thing, people don't realise just how long our crafts take. I'm loving the mix of your two ply's together, and your bravery for gets creative is infectious. Keep making your video's as your a breath of fresh air.
I'm just starting this weekend to make a mermaid tail blanket for a 5yr old, and your colour schemes are what have inspired me to do one.
