Everything they do is amazing, hard pressed to find a bad song, everything from MSG is excellent. They filmed from these 3 concert nights for their movie. This is one of my two favorite lives, the other one is live at Earls Court May 25,1975 of In My Time Of Dying. The best video for that is Andriu 1962, another amazing soulful song. They always put so much passion into their music, they love & feel what they are playing. Greatest band ever, thank you for your reaction, hope to so a lot of LZ.
Famously, the band had the night before 1 million dollars stolen from the safe of the Drake hotel that they had stored for safe keeping. That added a lot of fire to this whole performance, it is legendary, even a movie "The song remains the same" was a rite of passage when I was kid in the 70s and 80s.
I just subscribed based on this terific reaction, so y'all need to "Get the Led out," now, y'hear? Sorry, do what u want, lol, but I can guarantee that you will love other performances of theirs. "Whole Lotta Love" (1970 show, or also the official video of it is great). "Kashmir" at Knebworth (1979, a year before they disbanded--their drummer dies, dammit) is insanely good. "Dazed& Confused" from 1969, when they began, is mind (and eardrum)-blowing. "That's the way" (1975) shows their softer side.
Your comment a 13:20 that : "they are some stylish gents" ... back in late 60s/early 70s there were no big name designers for men's clothing (except suits & stuff). Many of these rock musicians had their dresses made and/or embellished by their groupie girlfriends, many of them who were seamstresses. To cut a long story short, there was this young man who went to these shows (Led Zeppelin, The Who & others) and was inspired more by their clothes than their music ... his name was Tommy Hilfiger.
Everyone comments on it, but it was normal at the time. Jeans couldn't be tight enough, and it was the thick dark blue denim without the elastic, and you had to wear them out yourself. You could get small bruises from the folds in your pants.
The night of this performance they had performed something like 26 shows in 30 days. Each show being about 3 hours long. The fact that Robert Plant could even speak, let alone sing those high notes still amazes me. And they still had 8 or 9 vocally challenging songs after this. Just amazing
And he was suffering from nodules on his vocal cords during that tour. He had to have an operation to remove them later in the year. That's why they didn't tour the following year. His throat had to heal completely.
You can’t look at him? Lol. I saw this tour 6th row center in Dallas at 15 years old! I couldn’t take my eyes off him HAHA. Never experienced anything like Zep before that. Incredible band. Changed me. ☮️❤️🎼😎
Definitely do more Led Zeppelin. They are the best rock band ever. The variety of genres, the experimental aspects, improvisation, and sheer out-of-this-world talent. Join us in the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. You will thank us for it. ♥️
I've heard this song countless times, I've seen this video probably in the hundreds. Too enjoy watching this again first you have to love the music but secondly it's the reaction of the people you are watching it with. So thanks for a great reaction and sharing my love of Led Zepplin with both of you.
They knew how good they were, and that comes across in their performance. Total confidence. You never see that today. You didn't see it very much even back then, but you never see that today. It's not something you can fake, and so much today is fake, that there's just no comparison.
Maybe you're just watching the wrong bands? I will admit that with the explosion of choices available nowadays it can be hard to find the jewels amid the muck but they are out there. If you want confidence, try any Pepsi Center performance by The Warning.
@@donrichards271 I don't want anything, it was just an observation. I did not express what I meant very well, or you would not have tried to compare a 20-something girl group to Led Zeppelin, one of the top 3 or 4 most influential bands in rock music history. I don't know how to say it without sounding unkind to The Warning (and I don't mean to be unkind toward them, at all), but they're just not in the same category. Pink Floyd is. The Beatles are. I have never heard of The Warning.
@@scott3744yes confidence oozed from Led Zeppelin, I saw so many bands back in the day, I don’t think the others even had this confidence. They performed with real passion for their music, & not all bands have that.

I've made this comment before about women's reaction to Led Zeppelin.....It's precisely the reason parents of daughters were terrified of this band.. this is also not the only couple reaction in which the guy was just a teensy bit jealous😄😄😄
Led Zep is legendary for their improvisational acumen. No song was ever played exactly the same way twice. I would recommend listening to the studio version so you can see how it was enhanced live.
The golden years of rock led by GOAT Led Zepplin. Many songs were blues/rock. The BEST live song IMO is also MSG `73 "Dazed and Confused". Over 50+ years and NEVER gets old.

Jeez, You could say that in regards to many of their songs, Zeppelin were a live band, all of their studio stuff was really good, but you really have to listen to them live to really appreciate them, thats why they insisted on having NO singles, so much improvisation, no song was played the same when they were on stage, they cannot be compared to any other band.
Me and my dad saw Robert sing last year, and he still has an incredible voice! Amazing to think my dad last saw him in Zeppelin at the Bath Blues Festival 1970 🤯

Page's guitar is so clean and fast in the studio versions; but here, he's down in the dirt, griding the strings on rocks -- quite the altered sound -- and it's so very fantastic, almost another song entirely! Each of those men are playing to their utmost abilities to make the air and our ear drums quiver with delight!!!
I'll just put it like this regarding Robert Plants' vocals... there's a reason that their dressing room always had a very long line of groupies... and they weren't there for autographs...
Hehe! - it was absolutely hilarious watching Jess getting all hot and flustered! You might enjoy the comparison of watching them decades later, playing "Kashmir" (live from Celebration Day). John Bonham, the drummer had died, and was replaced as a one-off by his son, Jason. It's a really mind-blowing performance!

Initially called the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page, the final lead guitarist for the legendary British blues band the Yardbirds. Bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones, like Page, was a veteran studio musician; vocalist Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham came from little-known provincial bands. The group was influenced by various kinds of music, including early rock and roll, psychedelic rock, blues, folk, Celtic, Indian, and Arabic music. One of the best rock bands ever.
