"I Like It" is a popular song by DeBarge, an American R&B and soul music group, released in 1982. The song was written by group member El DeBarge and reached significant success upon its release.
"I Like It" became one of DeBarge's biggest hits, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 1 on the Billboard R&B chart. It also achieved success internationally, charting in countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom.
The song is known for its catchy melody, smooth vocals, and romantic lyrics, which express the singer's affection and desire for their romantic interest. The upbeat rhythm and infectious chorus contributed to its popularity and enduring appeal.
"I Like It" remains a favorite among fans of 80s R&B music and has been covered and sampled by various artists over the years, contributing to its continued presence in popular culture.
Filmed on American Bandstand. Rip to their Queen Etterlene DeBarge who passed away in February 16, 2024. They have have great music that U guys have to react to. God Bless Momma DeBarge!!!
They sound good together because they're related. The synergy is on another level
I love DeBarge. All of their stuff is fire!
Randy and El DeBarge tag team on this song. I was floored too when I found out. Thought it was all El for sure.
Another DeBarge song for you to react to is Stay With Me. You might already know the song, but if you don't you'll still recognize it as it's been sampled in numerous hit songs.
I miss the 80s and the 90s it was such better music then
A couple of DeBarge song suggestions:
All This Love
A Dream
Differently brings back memories. The older brother was Bobby Debarge the lead singer of switch. When ever y'all get a chance watch any documentaries about their family, it's tragedy to triumph
Love DeBarge!!
❤❤ DeBarge ❤❤
Oldie but goodie! Brings back memories. Great reaction
A Dream is another great, Bunny sings lead on it.
How I love this! Written by Bunny and Randy DeBarge! The opening vocal is Randy and El does the high stuff. The Rob Squad Reactions played this and Bunny was in the comments!!!!
The very first cassette (😂) I ever bought was DeBarge! Reminds me so much of the ‘80s ❤️

Great reaction guys!! 👍🏾 You Wear It Well was my Jam by them. Hope ya'll can react.
They all had so much talent, but unfortunately their father destroyed them so much in their childhood that they never really reached their full potential. Even though they didn't have many hits, I still enjoy listening to them.
I also just found out El did not sing the whole song, and I know that song -word for word, and I am 62. lol lol Thanks guys.
I forgot about this song. They look like they recorded this right after math club.
Good example of why the first group were named Switch, anyone could take lead in the songs
Love always❤
I had this album... This reminds me of I believe 11th grade.. I'm old LOL
My favourite from them is "Head to Toe". That song reminds me of my high school days.
That was done by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam not Debarge
Yeah, I remember watching this live, loved American Bandstand. That, and Soul Train were the two mainstays of the time.
I think that was Bobby Debarge. Lead singer of Switch.
That’s Randy who wrote the song with his sister Bunny.
@lanceflx63 cool I wasn't sure. Thanks
Ya'll in the wrong place.. Freaked me out a little.
not El Debarge here-lip sync video
Smooth. Like butta
I don’t and won’t do Facebook, sorry. 🤗🇨🇦🐉👩🏼⚖️
I subscribed - not for this song, just cause I know you guys will do anything. Ren?
Isn't El Dabarge in prison now?
Jermaine Jackson helped bring Switch and DeBarge to Motown
