- Frieza is cool, his brother is Cooler. That pun was sinful, and so is this movie.
This is a re-edited, re-upload of the previous EWW Cooler's Revenge. After the first video got blocked all over the world, that gave me a good excuse to greatly improve on it as the first one was too long for no reason.

To be fair, Frieza's transformations after the first one look pretty different from one another, so it wouldn't surprise me if that somehow was him.
Plus, like he said, Piccolo never saw his first form.

I really wish they had shown flashbacks of Frieza and Cooler's sibling rivalry. I also kinda wish Vegeta was in this movie.
I agree about showing Cooler and Frieza's sibling rivalry. The only time Cooler and Frieza are shown together is in "Plan To Eradicate the Saiyans."
As for Vegeta, he'd be out of place in this movie, especially considering he hasn't officially joined the good guys yet during this time. He does in the next Cooler movie.
Gardetrace Oh yeah. Speaking of "Plan To Eradicate The Saiyans", I wish FUNimation would dub that OVA already. Along with "Yo Son Goku And His Friends Return". Another thing I liked about "Plan To Eradicate The Saiyans" was the fact that it was also the first time we see Vegeta and Turles on screen together.

I don't see how Vegeta would've been out of place. It wouldn't matter if he had officially joined the good guys during this time period. We all know that Vegeta had no problem siding with Kuririn, Gohan, Piccolo and Goku when they were faced against Freeza. It'd be no different in this scenerio. And he was already living on Earth right after the battle on Namek.
It gives him a bad boy/cool guy vibe for not showing up. Plus he would have just been easily beaten up like in all the other dbz movies
@@Gardetrace So Vegeta is out in space training to become a Super Saiyan during Cooler first assault on Earth? If that is the case, why Vegeta has not encountered Cooler yet?
Cooler‘s True Form is weaker than Frieza but his 5th Form not. But Cooler makes a mistake by giving Goku a chance to get a Zenkai boost which makes his Super Saiyan much stronger than when he fight Frieza. But never mind that since it’s not gonna save this movie sin total.
It's also worth noting that Goku and Piccolo would've seemingly begun training for the Androids at this point. That, on top of Goku's zenkai and the fact that Cooler was hardly even fighting back, makes the whole sequence a lot .ore reasonable in context.
Also Goku has a tendency to bs, when experiencing a new form. I think he was still figuring out Friezas new form, also. Goku being Goku, as he was in Resurrection F, kinda letting Frieza run out his stamina concocting a plan to vanquish him, a la Muhammad Ali, in some his match then hitting his version of the rope a dope.
It is also true that canonically the movie counterparts are stronger than the anime/manga counterparts.
No Zenkai boost, Goku ssj was simply stronger than Cooler. The fact that Cooler said his final form was stronger than Freezer one, doesn't mean nothing, the difference would be very minimal and even Mecha Freeza said that he was stronger than the last fight in namek and than he get beaten by ssj future Trunks with one move. In my opinion last form Cooler is equal to Mecha Freezer and weaker than 100% Freezer. Just remember that the official power level until namek saga, states 100% full power Freeza with a power level of 120.000.000 and ssj goku 150.000.000. 30.000.000 of difference between both that in the Freeza saga still an huge power level, in fact it is the power level of Goku base form fighting Freezer. But besides the numbers and power level that are not a sure and right parameter of comparison, what i am trying to say is that the difference could be even minimal and not huge like some people think.

Re-watching this made me realise: In the Japanese version and some of the promotional material didn't Cooler only want to kill Goku for killing Freiza beacuse Cooler himself was planning on doing that? But what about the dub? Was it a case of family honor?

Goku most likely trained throughout that time period, thus the reason why Base Goku was on par and could even fight even with 4th Form Cooler, this applys to Super Saiyan aswell, given it's a multiplier
Cooler’s men accessing the technology of the Frieza Force should be easy, considering they’re technically part of it or rather they run the same systems. The closeup on Bardock is a sin though.

Heading towards Earth? Data logs of his ship and location of his destination. Kakarot has a mission there, since this is the old Bardock version, where Kakarot was sent there as a mission rather than safety.

Cooler is definitely stronger then Frieza.
1. In the daizenchu, it confirms Cooler is stronger then Frieza when talking about 4th form Cooler.
2. Goku outright says when Cooler is transforming that he is stronger then Frieza.
Plus Master Roshi says Goku has been training hard, which implies after defeating Frieza and going straight back to earth, he trained before Cooler came. Also don't forget that Goku got a zenkia boost during the movie.
Cooler says that Frieza had advantage.

Dragon Ball Minus doesn't actually contradict anything that was depicted in the original manga. Just because DB Minus didn't show Bardock confronting Freeza does not mean it didn't happen. And guess what, I was right. DB Broly shows Bardock attempting to push back Freeza's Death Ball. Really the only contradiction I can think of is that Bardock's outfit was changed.

Well actually Bardock's confrontation with Frieza no longer happen. In the new movie, he doesn't confront Frieza at all, just fires a blast at his Supernova to try and stop it, meanwhile in the original story, he fought through Frieza's entire army, all the way up into space and personally confronted him. Frieza didn't even throw the Supernova till Bardock tried to shoot him.

That's not how the ORIGINAL story went. In the original, he did in fact confront Freeza and that's more or less all we know. But that said, it doesn't even show in the original manga him firing a ki blast.
DB Minus' interpretation is nearly no different than what was ORIGINALLY depicted in the manga. Biggest difference is that Burdock's armor is different. Also, the film's backstory is a bit short and feels somewhat rushed. It's quite possible that there's additional scenes that may be added in an extended version of the film. Or possibly the anime Super might expand on it.

To answer all of your questions:
1: Goku did not get gravely injured during his fight with Frieza. Zenkai boosts are gained when you're beaten half to death, yet Goku was still standing and could have kept fighting, so no Zenkai boost there.
2. This film is set in an alternative timeline where Goku killed Frieza, and returned straight to Earth after leaving Namek. He never goes to Yardrat to learn how to teleport, and he doesn't have control over the Super Saiyan form like he demonstrates to Future Trunks. In this movie, he had to get mad to go Super Saiyan again.
3. I know what their power levels are, in the original video, I list their power levels. So after the first 2 points I made, it doesn't make sense that Cooler can't put up much of a fight against Goku despite being more than twice as strong as both SSJ Goku and Frieza combined.

Sorbet learned of Goku defeating Majin Boo due to spy cameras. That was specifically stated.
Also, it's not unlikely that people knew that a Saiyan killed Freeza. Vegeta was known for rebelling against Freeza hence Cui was ordered to kill him. And the Special Ginyu Force had scouters. So if their battle with Goku had been recorded at all, Freeza's men would have likely known about him. Not to mention that in Yo! Son Goku and Friend's return, Tarble states that he heard from a Namekian that they killed Freeza.

There should've been a sin for the fact that of all the times Chi Chi wanted Goku to realize Gohan had homework, when Goku tells Gohan to finish his homework, Chi Chi thinks there's something wrong with him? I think Chi Chi is the one that's turning into a vegetabe.

The movie does note that Goku has gotten stronger than he was when he defeated Frieza. So it's less that Cooler is weak and more that Goku is a lot stronger than he was against Frieza.

Almost a year ago, I saw Fusion Reborn late on a animated show based animated movie night in English Dub with the American soundtrack, and there were parts where the music was too loud to the point where it was kind of hard to understand what characters were saying, but for some reason, I haven't had this problem any of the other times I saw that whole movie, and those other times were also in English Dub with the American soundtrack.

Maybe, it's because every other time I saw that whole movie was on DVD, where as when I saw the movie on that one movie night, I was watching it online on my phone with headphones on.
Or maybe, it's because I got more used to the syncing.

The VHS and DVDs actually sound better. I have Cooler's Revenge on both and I haven't had the sound issues I have with the Blu-Ray. Also, the Blu-Ray replaces Karin's line where he asks Yajirobe what's a bean daddy with a line that's out of place, yet Yajirobe responds as if the line's unchanged.
@@Gardetrace Yeah, I recorded Cooler's Revenge off of Adult Swim for the DVR, one time, and when I saw the recording, the Japanese soundtrack felt so weird to me, because I was a lot more used to the version with the American soundtrack.

You know, I just thought about this. Dore's talking about Piccolo not being on his own planet where he belongs, but I'm about 95% sure Dore isn't even on his own planet. What a fucking hypocrite.

1. Cooler's 4th Form is weaker than Frieza's. He clarifies this in both Dub and Sub. Frieza is a prodigy. Cooler trains.
2. Frieza got bodied in the manga no diff and this Goku is stronger.

I think the reason why Goku is so much stronger than Cooler is because of Zenkai Boosts. One after his recovery from fighting Freeza and another after healing from the "death beam"

Movie Goku is built different. I'd say in this movie base form goku would be stronger than frieza. Then super saiyan applies the 50 times multiplier.

Cooler got caught by surprise, since Goku punches THROUGH a rock. Followed by the fact that he can take those hits without dying or impeding his movement. All of this added to him not truly taking Goku seriously enough... Goku can kick his ass for a few seconds.

No, "Saiyan" is pronounced "SIGH-yahn," exactly as it's spelled. "Saiyan" in Japanese is "Saiya-jin" (Saiya people). Think of a sai (Rafael's weapons) or Sai from Naruto. We don't call them "says," do we? If it was pronounced the way people think, it would be spelled "Seiyan." Think of the anime "Saint Seiya." Funimation's dub mispronounces "Saiyan" just like they mispronounce "Kaio-Ken." For DB Kai, they correct "Kaio-Ken's" pronunciation, but "Saiyan's" wasn't changed likely because it's so ingrained in the minds of Westerners.

The reason why Goku is kicking Cooler's ass in his 3rd transformed state is because he has had a year of training or more since facing Freiza, at this point he was evenly strong as Future trunks who ONE SHOT Mecha Freiza, who was supposed to be much stronger than his full organic self.
So it should stand to reason that if Cooler was the one fighting Goku on Namek, Goku would have gotten wrecked and super saiyan would not help against Cooler's final form.
This film was created before the reveal of Trunks. It takes place right after the events of Namek but before the introduction of Trunks. These films are not meant to be cannon.
The reason Goku was able to be on par with Cooler's 4th form is because 1.) It's stated that Goku got stronger 2.) It's clearly stated that Cooler is inferior to his brother.

Piccolo can regenerate lost body parts which explains why only his shirt was damaged by salzas ki blade and his he survived the explosion from cooler, but how did he do it so fast?
The thing that pissed me off about this movie was he couldn’t control super saiyan ....after he shown trunks he could control it.
And saiyans get stronger after each battle so that’s why goku can fight him at base form.

This is the version of Goku who killed Freiza and king cold on earth. He is strong enough to fight trunks and stop his sword with his fingers. Freiza stood no chance against trunks.

It could be because Icarus being an animal with heightened senses and all, he could have found them via smell (especially considering Gohan was there with Goku as well). As for The Krill-Dawg, they were probably suppressing their power levels due to Coola's Giny- I mean Armored Squadron flying about, so he couldn't sense them.
You do realize Goku trained after his fight on earth and super saiyan Goku also got stronger but nice video
