You're welcome, and yes, you do have a point, however, at the end of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai Arc in the manga, Goku and Chichi fly off on Kinto-un and Chichi is hanging onto it with her legs dangling off, so that's why I asked why she found this so scary.

Anyone else get the feeling he goes slightly overboard with sins? It went from less then 200 to over 1000000 in seconds. ether that sin counter is Goku's power level pulling it's main hero plot armor bs. Or he loves to go nuts with sins.

Goku’s comment about the “other models” can easily be explained away. He stated he “heard” most of what was going on. He knew about Cell so he knew that Vegeta, someone who he knows was relative and likely stronger than himself at the time got handled by 18. I doubt that they wouldn’t have told him that 17 is at least equal to 18. Trunks being there is also easily explained if you believe they had a way to kill the androids. Almost all of earth was killed in his time and he needed some downtime before going back to kill his androids. Just like when he knew he could kill his androids easily yet stayed for 10 extra days in the present to fight and save that timeline, knowing Vegeta was stronger than him, had access to SSJG3 and Goku and Gohan outstripped that even at Goku’s 50% power. Also, just like in canon. He got resurrected by She rob meaning that he was completely at full strength and vitality yet decided to spend an entire night there. There’s no other explanation other than he wanted to spend time with his dad /family and knew 1 night wouldn’t make a difference. Just like a day of downtime wouldn’t in the movie.
This was by far one of my favorite DBZ movies just because it was HILARIOUS I love the dialogue and you might hate Funi but they did a GREAT job dubbing that $30 dollar hair cut phrase the why bring the chief the let’s dance all of it GOLD

The reason the spirit bomb was absorbed was because he wasn’t pure as a super saiyan. It drew from rage and couldn’t maintain the spirit bomb since you need to be tranquil and pure and shiz to make the spirit bomb
This kind of detail gets ignored in DB Super.

He's not really a martial artist. He's really strong and can fight, but he hasn't had martial arts training like the others have. He doesn't have technique like they do.
@@Gardetrace I’d argue that his technique was strengthened by his intelligence and calculating demeanor in the Saiyan and Namek Sagas. Everything else after that, he’s kind of a meathead who only cares about strength.

gardetrace king kai never said you couldn't absorb a genki dama in the anime or in manga but allow me to explain what happened. krillin saying goku is pure as a super saiyan that's a dub edit mistake. what really happen was when goku turn super saiyan he disrupted the genki dama which destabilized the energy so the genki would have dispersed but before it could disperse goku adsorbed the energy from the genki dama. that is what happened in the movie. if you have anything to me say please reply.

Man, this had me ROTFL, literally. I always tried to figure out how this movie fitted with the original timeline in the series. It clearly doesnt. And Funimation really did add some corny, unrealistic dialogues to the characters that did not exist in the original Japanese. Thanks for the time you put into this.

The dub's line about knowing about the Genki Dama just makes 13 that much more stupid, if you know that Goku can do as ass pull like that then the last thing you would do is leave him alone long enough for him to do it.

Obviously if Trunks is there and Gero's android body they've contended with 17 and 18. All that means is that the Z Fighters killed them or maybe these Androids are good like in canon and they let them go.
They can't just feel an energy blast coming if they can't detect Android ki. The blasts blow up near instantaneously so in order to survive and save people they'd have to feel the explosion coming at that split second and react accordingly.
Goku has beaten several of Gero's androids and robots at this point, actually. Why do you think he got to 13 - 17? Goku beat 1 - 12. Remember Android 8? The Red Ribbon Saga? That's right, nobody watches Dragon Ball.
They weren't walking around aimlessly. They obviously knew where to go and just didn't give a damn about the people, even in the dub.
Why is it a problem that Trunks knows about the Spirit Bomb? His mother is Bulma, his teacher is Gohan. You don't think they told him stories about the legend Son Goku? Both of them know about the Spirit Bomb and I'm sure he can feel the energy from other people flowing into the attack.

Man, I feel bad for Miyauchi Kōhei. After the King Piccolo arc, most of his performances as Kame Sen’nin before he died were cameos in underbaked DBZ movies where he’s just being intolerable. It’s kind of a shame that the only movies he appeared in where he was actually worth a shit has him with a different voice actor.

I been saying the same thing for years, Funimation keep adding lines that make no sense. Most of the time those characters aren't even saying anything. They just add unnecessary lines.

That's the point I was making. This movie tries to tie itself within the events of the Cell Arc, but it contradicts a lot of things, plus it doesn't know where the arc is ultimately going, so it's a complete mess with continuity.

He met 8ther and the war machine from muscle tower, its most likely that's what goku was referring to when mentioning the androids quality
I'm talking about the androids that are actually relevant to this arc he associates with Dr. Gero. Hacchan and Sergeant Metallic don't count, and #14 & #15 are more advanced than them as well as #19 & #20, so his line doesn't make sense.
Hey Gardetrace, is there animes where you prefer watching in English Dub rather than in Japanese?
There's plenty. Cowboy Bebop, Gantz, Black Lagoon, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Hellsing Ultimate, and Highschool DxD are some examples. Don't misunderstand, I'm not a "subbed is better than dubbed" kind of guy. For me, it's a case-by-case basis. There are plenty of anime I like watching either way. At one point, I liked dubbed Dragon Ball (the Kai dub to be exact) more than subbed Dragon Ball, but believe it or not, watching Dragon Ball Super as it was airing warmed me up to the Japanese voice cast. I got over my issue of Goku being voiced by a woman and now I'm perfectly fine with it. Plus, the dialogue is so much better in Japanese, also, the original soundtrack is far superior to the dub. I never liked the Z dub, I always found it corny and poorly acted. Kai is the definitive dub for me (though they still say "Saiyan," "Saibaiman," and "Dr. Gero" wrong. Also, while I love Freeza's voice actor change, I'm not a fan of Bulma, Gohan, and #18's voice changes) and I wish Kai revised the original Dragon Ball as well to so it could get the same treatment. But if I'm watching Dragon Ball now, it's most likely subbed.

In the big green dub version of this film 14 and 15 hardly say anything aside from "Well Goku" and "You see Goku" "I see Goku" Also Big Buff Blue 13 only Screams when using his Double SS Super Bomb, whilst Goku is charging his Supreme power as the Big Green calls Goku's Genkidama/Spirit Bomb.
