    Thank you . Very helpful.
    If a car is leaking coolant from top of cylinder head near the cam sensor , rocker cover area , can we say this car has a cracked cylinder head?

    Hello I have suzuki aerio that have blow gasket, coolant enter cylinder #4, change the gasket 4 year ago, and just a few weeks ago same problem happens again, coolant enter cylinder #4. So I did the head gasket change again.
    Inspection on the gaskets (use suzuki original head gasket) the black material in the head gasket is chew up, exposing silver metal of the gasket.
    I use Prestone green coolant, some said it contain 2EHA rusk inhibitor that can attack black coating on the head gasket and eventually make it leak.
    What do you thinks about coolant that attack head gasket ?
    Thanks in advance

    Peter Finn. My Yaris Verso 1.3 2001 heats up when driving. Red warning light is flashing.
    Radiator was leaking so we change it to new. We also changed the thermostat and the water pump. A repairman flushed the cooling system.
    Do you know why it is still heating up? Could it be a headgasket?

    • @temelon

    What if I pour Head Gasket Sealant in the coolant do those work well?

    • @stakeHolderMyAss
      @stakeHolderMyAss 3 года назад

      The best thing you can do is check for warpage in the cylinder head and get it rectified, the sealing thing can help but you gotta be really carefull with that, Just place it in the outer most part of the gasket, it can't be close of the high presurized cylinders, also a good plactice is place the head over the sealing and wait for an hour before tightening the bolts. Good Luck

      @@stakeHolderMyAss Thank you but not sure if we're talking about the same thing. I was actually asking about the liquid gasket sealer that your simply pour into the coolant and it seals the gasket from the inside. Does anybody have experience using it?

    I have coolant leaking into my engine block/6th cylinder. I was given about 4-6 months left on my car. I only drive from A-B and it’s about a year now that I have been driving it with no overheating or anything. I need to make a decision on an engine swap because I don’t want to put any more money into it unless it will last. Thoughts anybody?

      Hi, you can drive. BUT stop when engine Temp meter is hot and Red area...!

    • @KeyLucid
      @KeyLucid 2 года назад

      @Adam Ruley. Coolant was leaking into the Jeeps cylinder tubes #4 and #6 for maybe a year, corrupting them, unbeknownst to me, as Jiffy Lube then later a northern New Jersey Jeep dealership also kept adding more coolant, but never wondering Why? Even tho I told the dealer the car would shake in neutral and had very poor acceleration performance, that is, if you could get it started! Then after the 2nd visit to this Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram place (this time they had my Jeep for 15 days and still the red service light would appear upon starting) finally the lady service advisor told me, "It's OK to drive it as long as the red light doesn't blink - say what? Long story short, after spending a lot of money on summer car rentals (even the Chevy Spark cost $120.00 a day) I finally found a repair shop who actually diagnosed the problem. But by then a minor Head Gasket replacement had turned into major surgery on both those two cylinder heads and tubes. The whole process was VERY Expensive and Stressful! And unnecessary as Jiffy should have told me there must be a coolant leak and the Jeep's Techs and Service Advisor desperately need to go back to school, or better yet, change careers as all pertinent information was logged in online each time I had made an appointment! Anyway my 2012 Liberty and I are doing just fine now 10 months later and someone noted that the Jeep's oil and transmission pans' are beginning to rust so that's next on the bucket list! Here's Hoping That doesn't become an ordeal too!

    The reason ,to much coolant,wrong coolant, not used destiled water, to much preshure and heat, wrong oil wrong fuel, coolant electrolisys, low quality engine part's, back curent Ore back charging electric devices,some engines are multi grade fuel runing engines who can behave like disel engines after all ethilen glicol burn in centrain ways tipical lean ore rich burning engine situation after all the original otto engine worked on hydrogen and buthanol so it is basicaly chemical preshure diference compresion ignition engine not ignition systems were used at that time the the Very first disel engine use mechanical carburetors with pre mix fuel chamber they were also internal and external burning engines ore bouth and they hade multipel fiering sequence like waste spark dobel the power basicaly they use combination of bouth 2 and 4 stroke engine working principel at the same time . All what this is about cooling system it is closely related to pre ignition and coold diseling effects.In worst case you cant shut off engine if you turn the ignition off! Thats the oldschool way of teaching.As fuel any thing that burns can by used In engine Some peopel may see what peopel used in military aplications in ww2 like methanol water and those engines at that time and beyond older are considered as hybrid engines. Perfect exampel chevy 250 ,opel sohc ,suzuki samuray those are clearly marked as disel/gasoline engine block with addition of mentioned above posibilitys they are unique in mechanical problems by the way gasoline is used only for engine start up and to run engine on idel speed after that own hot engine lubrication oil takes ower the job of acelerating engine from idel to max. Speed !!!! So evry thing ells in schools is miss represented ore miss understude.Perfect exampel is my sohc opel car it works with out gasoline it can work perfectly fine basicaly in right conditiond it can do low speed pre ignition and that cind of engine is not normal behavior thats what will hapen if the cooling system fails in worst case but in controled conditions you end up with a high efficient engine with masive power if the gaskets can with stand that preshure .any way take Chlorine+Calcium+Brake Fluid and you end up with self ignition fuel based on time.
    So its not so simpel finding the cause of cooling system failure lot things are involved.Any way first otto engine used dual fueling effects ore multipel fuel types to get centrain effects. Perfect exampels are the kubelwagen ore lenz buldog tractor gasoline/disel engine with forward and back ward turning engine. So perhaps peopel get the idea what is hapening with those engines. This guy is good mechanic this is adition to hes explanation he knows about this but this mechanical problem acures rarely I recomend hes chanel

      Relax. Now you can vent out on me instead as I felt the need to watch it again.
      Not only do I now fully understand it. I also got the last part where he's saying if gasket 'material' is thin, that that is the other reason besides engine overhearing. Only wish my mechanic who begins work tomorrow on my Jeep's same problem could have explained as well this gentleman did.
