The bass that plays throughout the song but is most noticeable at the beginning sounds a lot like the Plasm Wraith's motif, although that could just be a coincidence. Along with the Final Trial's theme being the main part of the song it makes me think there's a correlation.

it's a harmony line from the music in the final area of Pikmin 1, it's been associated with bosses and more specifically Olimar for a very long time
I love all the little 'military' aspects, like the marching snare drum and the bugles - really makes it feel like you're leading your Pikmin as an army against your Dandori foe!

This is absolutely my favorite dandori theme. I also love the little leitmotifs to Final Trial and Plasm Wraith as a nod that your enemy is Olimar.

@@Vyloka Go all the way to the beginning of the video, that first little section of string plucking is almost exactly the same as the slow, creepy music that plays when you're being chased by the Plasm Wraith in Pikmin 3. (Formidable Oak inside to be exact) They're the same notes but sped up and played on a different instrument! I'm not sure where the final trial motif is but I could tell it was the Plasm Wraith's theme that's being used for one of the layers of this track the second I heard it because of how traumatized I am lmao.

This is technically the final boss theme, and I think it may actually be my favorite in the series.
It really fits the spirit of Pikmin! I guess part of that is that it sounds like a militant marching band theme. That style of music is basically the best fit when you want to describe the gameplay of Pikmin musically. Kudos to the sound team for this.
