I'm subscribed to that young man's wife's channel (Brennae) on youtube. She did confirm they're DeBarge. They're a great family & their toddler son is beyond adorable! They're a part of a Legacy that thus far has touched 5 generations that Brother Tommy helped start. The young man is also a musician & his wife, a singer. It's so good to also see James looking/doing well. When I watched the movie Bobby Debarge I was shocked that this was kept secret, how badly they were abused physically, sexually and mentally by their dad! My sympathy as well as my empathy goes out to you Debarge family. My family buried my youngest brother on the same day 😭! But God! He's still a good and perfect God and doesn't make any mistakes! Hallelujah! I also love and thank my beautiful black queen mother, 86 years young and strong in the Lord who also raised her 8 children (I'm the 8th) in the nurturing and admonition of the Lord. This is my 3rd brother who has passed on with the 2nd passing just a little over 2 years ago but God! I still praise and thank Him for being my Rock in a weary land, my Peace in the storm and my Joy in sorrow and all that I need. Hallelujah! Praying this for your family too.

I saw the segment of the thier family on the show "Unsung" on B.E.T a few years ago, very depressing what that family went through with their father, he was a straight up alcoholic racist, that beat them bad.
I love these people. I want to just go where they are, play some music and watch them do their magic. The Debarge's ... friend's in my head. What a true and beautiful contribution to music. All most all of them got addicted to drugs because not only did the dad openly molested both the girls and boys but the mother kept it going by acting like she didn’t know but she did!!! My sympathy as well as my empathy goes out to you Debarge family. My family buried my youngest brother on the same day 😭! But God! He's still a good and perfect God and doesn't make any mistakes! Hallelujah! I also love and thank my beautiful black queen mother, 86 years young and strong in the Lord who also raised her 8 children (I'm the 8th) in the nurturing and admonition of the Lord. This is my 3rd brother who has passed on with the 2nd passing just a little over 2 years ago but God! I still praise and thank Him for being my Rock in a weary land, my Peace in the storm and my Joy in sorrow and all that I need. Hallelujah! Praying this for your family too.
