Thank you for a very helpful video Dale. Picked up my new Hyena 2 tent today and can't wait to test it out when I go camping on Monday. I am usually rubbish at putting up tents but you make it nice and clear what to do, so thank you again! 😊
I own one of these and i will admit that you are getting a lot of tent for a low cost. I have the Eurohike Backpacker 2 DLX as well and this Hyena 2 is a quite an upgrade. Its real warm in very cold weather and this is tried and tested by myself. People moan about the wire pegs but these can be easily upgraded to better ground pegs. I love this review!
Great video. I bought this recently and it seemed like i had put it together properly but watching you shows me I had done it properly. Thank you for the advice. I have already bought the OEX pegs to replace the ones that came with the tent.
Glad you got some good pegs, the ones they come with are the worst. Iv just had mine out in torrential rain and unfortunately it started to leak in. I think i will have to Fabsil the whole tent. I hope you like it.
Hi Dale, I wondered if U might get a Hyena & will look forward to your comparison Video alongside the E/H Backpacker DLX...👍 I haven't got around to doing that with mine yet, but the Hyena does seem to be made of slightly better quality materials, albeit 0.1kg heavier...!🤣 However, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think U'll find that Walk&Camp website have mixed up their Hyena specs/description with another tent, possible the OEX Coyote, as the Hyena does not have 3xAlloy poles, it has 2xfibreglass poles the same as the Backpacker, the flysheet on the Hyena has a 5000HH which I think is either 190T or 210T polyester... It also has a PE groundsheet to the inner, similar to the Backpacker i.e. plastic & not treated polyester like most other OEX tents seem to have... I bought the Rakoon recently, which I really like & it came with aluminium Shepherds Crook shape pegs, quite thick, round aluminium pegs with spiked ends, which are much better quality than the basic steel pegs that come with the Hyena...

Great video Dale , I'm going to looking for one of those , I like the oex tents , that one you have reminds me of the eurohike backpacker 2 👍👍👍
It definitely does. I will be doing a comparison video soon hopefully
Aaahh the windows are nice so when the bears come to eat you in your Twinkie you can see if comming.....lol
haha I can only guess your are not from the UK
Great review brother.have the bobcat 1 but this has more space
I would choose this over the phoxx 1 and bobcat. Good tent at a cheap price.
