I have theory that he is Waluigi all of this time
here, they have connection, even this theory doesn't have many proof but this all i have:
Connection:
Both Waluigi and Tatanga like Daisy at this point (Waluigi proven having crush on Daisy in Mario party 5)
Both are purple goober (even i know colour have nothing to do with this all)
Both of them has goblin ear
and lastly:
Both them are work for Wario
However i think upside down L on Waluigi cap was actually refrence to T and not juet generic L upside down to resemble he is anti Luigi
