My guess for Wart in a Mario Kart game: He will be part of a DLC pack along with fellow Mario villains Tatanga and Fawful as well as Donkey Kong's arch-nemesis King K. Rool. And his redesign will be based on his appearance (as Mamu) in the Link's Awakening remake.
Since they finally have a 3D design for Wart now because of Link’s Awakening I hope this means that they could bring him back into the Mario series, in spinoffs or something.
He was a scary villain to me when i was little. So was that hawk head that came alive right before doing battle with him. Bowser didnt have the same appeal. Maybe it was the combo of more sinister sounding music too (for the 80s, at least)

God people have more hopes for SMB2 than Odyssey in terms of SMM2 DLC. Yes the latter is very recent, but Odyssey has way more potential when it comes to level design. Need I explain?

I don't think he was actually created for Mario games. SMB2 USA is just a reskin of Doki Doki Panic, the real SMB2 is similar to the first game, but much much harder and a few new mechanics.

It would be cool to redo the smb2(USA) game. Yeah we all know it’s a dream. Yet has anyone ever read the intro story before the game. Turns out Mario woke from his dream and saw the same thing in a near by cave. Either way the whole bowser thing has gotten stale. Why not do newer villains like from sml. Look at DKC series. There has been different villains. Why not with super Mario.
