Maybe he would've in Galaxy 2? In fact, that would've been the right time to reintroduce both Princess Daisy and Tatanga back into the main series. Oh Nintendo why?! Give the quirky princess and her evil alien kidnapper love again.

They could've had Tatange be the main antagonist of the first Super Mario Galaxy game, but nope. They used Bowser instead and it was another "Kidnap Peach" plot.
I was more or less expecting Tatanga to be the main antagonist of Super Mario Galaxy 2, but they used Bowser again, and yet..... he kidnapped Peach again. Like.... Bowser's not even an alien!

Tatanga deserves to come back alongside other interesting bosses like Wario and the Three Little Pigheads! If nothing else it'd make for a really cool Paper Mario game.
I just made a comment like this and I 100% agree. It's even more pathetic that they used bowser again in mario galaxy 2. They just thought "eh I dunno make him bigger I guess." Real creative geniuses there over at nintendo...

Technically, Tatanga could have died in Mario Land 2 because we only see him in spin-offs after that and he gets knocked out of his spaceship meaning he could have died of either lack of oxygen or freezing to death.

Hmm... If Luigi save Daisy from Tatanga, and after that Super Mario Land 2 begins and then Luigi enter Mario castle after collecting 6 golden coins, Luigi would be afraid of the great Wario in the final battle, then, on the third phase of Wario's battle, when the Wario boss used the fire flower power-up, Luigi would meet with a terrible fate, and then, after Luigi would defeat Wario in this area, then... idk

@@jf1lms72 nah Wario already hated Mario before SML and if it was Luigi that's playable in SML then SML2 wouldnt happent cuz Wario wouldnt be able to take over Mario Land cuz of Mario preventing it
@@arek.k8688 Thats right. Also, Luigi couldn’t be there WITH Mario in SML because he had to stay in the Mushroom Kingdom to stand guard. If BOTH Mario AND Luigi were in SML and had BOTH gone to Sarasaland, then not only would Wario have taken Mario Land, Bowser would have taken the opportunity to take Peach at the same time. This would force the Mario Bros to split up after defeating Tatanga. Mario would take back his territory as usual in SML2, while Luigi would have to go to Bowser’s castle and rescue Peach again.
In Wario's Woods that's not Tatanga, it's just a similar looking character named Katsini.

Tatanga is so easy to beat in the first super Mario land. I have never taken any damage or lost a life everytime I fought him all the times I’ve played it
Tatanga would have been a far better and more fitting villain in Mario Galaxy 1 or 2. Maybe he could be a buff transformed version that's angry about his defeat in mario land. But no Nintendo can't let go of bowser for 5 freaking seconds because they're madly in love with him or something. The weirdos.
Plus super smash Bros ultimate isn't from 2020 of course it was it was in 2018 December?
