    “Faith, Alfred. Faith.”
I love Batfleck’s character arc from Batman vs Superman to Justice League. In BvS, he was broken, hateful, and alone. But, Superman’s sacrifice showed him that there’s still good in the world. In Justice League, he’s rejuvenated and enjoys the company of others. He believes in the team, the people around him, he cares for all of them. The final scene with Bruce standing outside, smiling and looking at the sunset, that was brilliant. He knew his parents were proud of him, and he finally found peace.

But the scenes with Barry and his dad, cyborg and his father are some of the most heartening and emotional beats of this movie and you just had me feeling like you didn’t appreciate it or acknowledge their importance. Barry’s line delivery was to his dad, essentially telling him that he was one of the most important and heroic people on the planet when he left him in prison thinking he had believed Barry to be wasting his life.

100% agree. It’s okay to be critical and have an opinion. I think the problem is they watch the movie, and instead of just enjoying it for what it is. They are constantly analyzing things that don’t really matter asking themselves constantly “do I like this?” Thus complaining and wondering why they don’t understand and missed something. They say a lot of “this is really cool, BUT” that says it all right there. They are literally looking for reasons to not like it and think it’s cool and nitpick. 4 hour movie not a movie? They need to watch more movies. Someone even said they wish they would cut this version down, when they previously complained things didn’t make sense. For me personally, Snyder’s Justice League is easily my favourite movie in the DCEU. I think it’s the perfect blend of light hearted fun, and darker storytelling that Zack previously established in MoS and BvS. It’s funny because when BvS originally released, I didn’t enjoy it because it wasn’t like the MCU. But now that I’m older, I really appreciate these movies more, along with the world and characters Zack built. I’d love to see a sequel, and the SnyderVerse restored.

    • @kilodi
      @kilodi 3 года назад

getting old has nothing to do with liking or disliking BvS, I think everyone would have loved it if they had spent some time on their relationships, Batman's motivations on just trying to kill everything in sight including Superman, even the mothers link maybe drawn some parallels.
Who knows these parts may have been also been cut just like JL, as BvS stands today it is a mess but Snyder's cut proves there was lot of potential and lot of studio influence throughout the series.

"Lois is the key": she's the key to Superman being in contact/relation to humanity ala Dr. Manhattan/Silk Spectre. Once she's removed from the "equation" Superman is more susceptible. That's how i see it.
"Cyborg Knightmare": is basically flashing forward through the timeline that confirms that if they go through with this (resurrecting Supes) this is the endgame, no pun intended .
"WW calling him Kal-El": goes back to Zod's message that was streamed across the world, the message took over all rss feeds, tv and wifi signals, so it's safe to assume wherever Diana was at that time, she saw the message and heard Zod call him "Kal-El"

Completely overlooked how the mother boxes used Victor’s weaknesses against him and how he had to overcome his whole arc in order to save the day. That’s why Aquaman showed concern for him earlier, knowing he was going to be put in a tough spot right after losing his dad. It was just as much of a climax as Flash’s rewind (plus it was actually built up better unlike Flash’s dad), and they happened back to back from each other.

I actually prefer Lois not being a part of Batman’s plan. It gives her agency, and we establish in the first half why she is going there daily anyways so it’s also in context and less “convenience.”

I don't think either one really gives Lois agency. She's just a tool for Superman's progress in either cut.

Almost every question you have is answered. They leave the Knightmare stuff a bit up in the air because I would assume if they didn’t want too go in that direction they’d have an easy out by saying it was just a dream. Also saying that the problem with Flash is that he runs faster is a bit redundant since that’s kind of Flash’s thing. In order to rewind time he needs to run faster.

In the MCU they traveled to different points in the multiverse, the ancient one explains this. In DC there is a multiverse exactly in the same way, but when the flash does his thing he actually alters time across a single reality like in back to the future or bill and ted, where in itself time travel is a paradox. if one will ever go back in time then they already have.
Of course the only one's in DC who are really aware of this paradox are the speedsters themselves (and the time wraiths) so in this case Barry remains aware of the changes to the timeline but nobody else is. This means that his one rule exists because he has already fucked up the timeline before, this is made clear by the scene where he meets iris in which he seems to already know her even though they have never met.

Many movies setup several characters without their own movies and they make their characters interesting and story great. God father did a great job doing that. So it’s not crazy comic book movies to do the same. And WB wants to do a multiverse anyways. If Snyderverse was setup as not cannon or a main story, o think we could of gotten more of wild stuff he wanted to do. Snyder literally wanted to make Superman kid the next Batman. So glad that Zack Snyder’s Justice league is being received so well by so many. Current sitting at 96% audience score on RT and 8.3/10 on IMDB!!
The ironic thing is that the jokes landed better in Zack Snyder’s version than in Joss’s which was cut, reshot, and rewritten to be “funnier”
Also each character is integral and brought something of value to the team in ZSJL. Meanwhile Joss’s flash was sent on a side mission to rescue a random family...and Batman is useless in the final battle.

Its a little weird some of them complained about the Flash scenes, flash was awesome in this movie. I totally enjoy how in the beginning he seems a little unsure of himself and at the end he saves the day and we have that scene with him running in the city with a smile on his face. Really enjoyed his place in the movie and didn't think it too much for this movie as a whole. The nightmare scene I agree doesnt really mesh well with the rest of the movie, however I don't know if that scene was meant to be in the movie initially. I was under the impression it was added after the snyder cut was announced. Either way, don't really see why we should complain about more movie. I'd say it would be more of an issue if we had more nightmare scenes sprinkled inside the movie, that would be cutting into the main story and be distracting.
