I am Nigerian myself and Ngeria is the Giant of Africa but I consider Nigeria a FAILED state too; Plus Congo - FAILED! It’s sad that people who should can’t see this. If I was Somali, I would do everything in my power to reap this inheritance. I wrote a piece for a Somali friend who asked me to research the history and economic potential of Gondwanaland. Needless to say, the history of the place parallels the creation of humankind, and it’s vast economic potential is tragically largely untapped.

During all these elections, there were a peaceful transitions of power. One time a candidate lost the presidency only with 80 vote differences. A president(Dahir Rayale) lost the election of 2010 and handed over the power to the opposition leader(Ahmed Silanyo). peacefully. So in short, what Somaliland accomplished in those 30 years with out international recognition is beyond imagination. You will see a 70 year old grandmother selling gold jewelry alone on the street with no guard and when you ask her "How many years you have been in the business?" She will tell you more than decades. 1. Constitution referendum vote in 2001.
2. Municipal elections in 2002.
3. Presidential election in 2003.
4. Parliamantary election in 2005.
5. Presidential election in 2010.
6. Municipal elections in 2012.
7. Presidential election in 2017.
8. Municipal and parliamentarian elections in June 2021. The results were just announced few days ago.
During all these elections, there were a peaceful transitions of power.
One time a candidate lost the presidency only with 80 vote differences.
A president(Dahir Rayale) lost the election of 2010 and handed over the power to the opposition leader(Ahmed Silanyo). peacefully.
So in short, what Somaliland accomplished in those 30 years with out international recognition is beyond imagination. You will see a 70 year old grandmother selling gold jewelry alone on the street with no guard and when you ask her "How many years you have been in the business?" She will tell you more than decades. They never experience any sort of intimidation.
All these are blessing from the Almighty. Alxmadulilaah.
