Single story create stereotypes, not because they are untrue but because they are incomplete. By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Thank you Wode Maya, you have done it again
Ignorant is your greatest enemy. With over 400 thousands Ugandans in 🇸🇸? You never heard that Ugandans are the largest foreigners in 🇸🇸? It's age of information. People should not hold themselves mentally hostage or just rely on one source of media, which is mostly Western or African hating on themselves. Also, over 40% of Uganda’s population are native South Sudanese. That includes the Kakwa tribe which Idi Amin came from. Almost the entire Northern Uganda are native of South Sudan tribes including the Acholi tribe.
@@angilokarl6868 keep cool bro. Untill some stereotypes are discarded, like in this video, you can't blame ppl for not getting the right info. In S. I felt that too. We have all lost this mindset; the most successful societies think beyond their individual lifetimes. We should think on the timescale of our great great-grandchildren, not our lifetime. What kind of world do we want for them? Do we want the same humiliation we've constantly had to endure or a world in which they are treated with dignity and respect? For me, similar to that young lady, legacy is more important than the short-term conveniences of our comfortable western lifestyles. The decisions we make today will reverberate through our entire lineages for generations to come. We should not make them lightly. Choose comfort in the west, condemn your kids to third-class citizenship. Choose the relatively harsh, uncertain life of an African (in Juba, Nairobi, Lagos, Accra, Doula, etc) and your children and their children (x10) will reap the benefits. I truly believe Africa is the future of humanity; it's an inconvenient truth our enemies have worked very hard to suppress, but it's the truth. Bet on Africa, ride out the turbulent times ahead (and there will be plenty) and you will find yourself sitting on prime real estate by the turn of this century (Well, your kids and grandkids will).

I was offended and kind of hurt by the opening of the video but I'm so glad I kept watching because you did a great job showing South Sudan. I am sitting here in shock because I didn't even know Juba looked like that or was that developed :) thanks for this video!
I'm not Sudanese be it North or south. But my roots or ancestors lineage are from Africa which I'm proud. I too was offended when I start to play the video. My only consolation was that Woda Maya was in the video, so I know there would be good explanations as to why these women of colour critising South Sudan without evidence, apart from propaganda in the media and far right racist groups.
Wow. The western media really is a nasty tool portraying Africa as complete hopeless dispare. I too was brainwashed into thinking South Sudan was just starving children extreme poverty just hopeless. I'm completely shocked by this video and embarrassed that I allowed myself to be fooled. What a beautiful country with the most striking stunning people

You know,Ghana has officially opened doors to African Americans wanting to come back home.you can try visiting regularly. If you like it there you can move to Ghana.
I'm from South Sudan (never visited) I was born in Egypt and lived in Canada since I was 3 years old. I was offended and kind of hurt by the opening of the video but I'm so glad I kept watching because you did a great job showing South Sudan. I am sitting here in shock because I didn't even know Juba looked like that or was that developed :) thanks for this video!
Im from Texas. Thank you
Welcome back home
Me too I'm from south Sudan I was born in Egypt and lived in Israel.
I was born in Sudan and raised there and currently now I live in Canada. I will say I was offended too at the beginning 😅
Wow. The western media really is a nasty tool portraying Africa as complete hopeless dispare. I too was brainwashed into thinking South Sudan was just starving children extreme poverty just hopeless. I'm completely shocked by this video and embarrassed that I allowed myself to be fooled. What a beautiful country with the most striking stunning people
And did you notice the white people when he was on the plane? Yeah, I’m no longer fooled. I completely refuse to listen to any western media where it concerns the best and richest continent on the planet. Africans are my media!
It's no different than them thinking we all have lots of money over here. People need to really start to open thier eyes

@@robrobyadolisrobrobyadolis3563 Sudan as a whole before the split was once known as The Land of Cush, if you look at Africa’s ancient map before the colonizers came and divided us, you will see Cush, My people were mentioned in the Bible. Isaiah 18.

By the way “The ancient name of Africa was Alkebulan. Alkebu-lan “mother of mankind” or “garden of eden”. Alkebulan is the oldest and the only word of indigenous origin.
