    You are so amazing. I'm from Brazil and today I've done a few things that I learned in your chanel with my dance partner and he loved it!!! Thanks a lot for all, keep doing this job cause you inspire people to be better.
    P.S: I love the way you speak.

    Don't give up, that is the key. I am 30 years old and I trained for more or less 3 YEARS to be able to do the splits. Now I got it. At a certain moment I thought I wouldn't be able to do the splits because I'm an adult (and old to do that haha), but I didn't give up. Trust yourself and practice a lot. You can!

    I want to add something very important that led me to an injury, because i didnt know it.
    When stretching, dont let your knee-joint to be pressured - you can stretch knee tendon, and legament, that fixes your knee, and it leds to a lot of problems in future and is very painful. To prevent this, slightly bend your knees when doing excercises, to stretch muscles and legament that you need to. You will be safe!

And I was like WTF?! I warmed up! But now I know... I had weak muscles... hahaha. Now I'm returning to my stretches and at the same time, i have my strength training 😘. I see progress!!! I danced professionally from 1984 - 1993. I WISH I had seen this tip back then!. I began to have difficulty in my splits, and looking back, the director of the ballet company NEVER mentioned muscle tightness in certain groups as a probable reason. Arrggghhh, I tortured myself to get deep into my splits the last 3 years I danced. Your tip would have alleviated my suffering. LOVE your videos!!!.

I’ve lacked the motivation to keep trying, but at the same time I really want to get my splits down. I am so close, but am not making any progress. I used to do ballet in Cuba when I was younger. They are very strict. You can not do ballet overthere if you have extra pounds and don’t qualify. Trainings are very effective. The 3 main things we did to learn to split were, butterfly stretching, front to back leg swings( hand in the wall or post and do many repetitions on one side then switch and do the other side) and sitting in the floor opening legs as wide as possible and reaching the toes by holding the stretch. All that done every time repeatedly. 👌🏽

I do the foam roll with tennis balls b/c I have actual points that need the pressure. Can you talk a bit more about dancing/exercising EVERY DAY and when do you get stronger and when is it harmful? How do muscles recuperate when being used every day? Also, no one is perfect no matter how good they are. How do you deal with perfectionism?

    Hey, I have a question, so I've heard that stretching basically is ripping your muscles apart, not completely of course, and them growing back together, which is what you feel as being sore. Does that mean you shouldn't stretch the same area every day so they can always grow back together or was that just fake news 😂? Like basically my question is: "What is the best division on days to stretch?" (I'm obviously not a native English speaker, so I'm really sorry for my English😅)

    Can gender and age has influence on splits? I started last year and still very painfu. am 25

    • @pribanovaterka
      @pribanovaterka 5 лет назад +3

      Definitely, to both. Men in general are less flexible than women and if someone starts stretching (or doing anything for that matter) at a young age, it's going to be easier for them. However, neither are an excuse ;) you can still work on yourself no matter how "late" you start (and 25 is still not that bad :) )

    Any tips for someone who has hip pain/possible pulled muscle or injury? It's been off and on for YEARS! I just went through a full PT session and xrays and NOTHING helps. I usually go rlly long periods of time without stretching hoping it will heal. When I do start stretching again. It usually feels great, but then I'll stretch something the wrong way and BOOM its hurting again. I've been so scared to stretch religiously because I dont want to injure myself worse.

    I did gymnastics when I was a young teen and I was doing splits no problem for several years. Then, I fell out of my routine and got back into my exercising in my early twenties. I've been running regularly for at least seven years and stretching after run including doing ballet and gymnastics stretches I did in the past. None of it works, it's very painful and uncomfortable to lean forward still and I can't even bend enough to touch my toes comfortably. It's honestly very frustrating and discouraging and at this point, I'm wondering if years of running actually did shorten my muscles. I do drink water, I have patience, etc. I was wondering if perhaps you have some advice for me? Thanks for the video.
