    Im a cheerleader + equestrian and I used to be a dancer (I had my splits when I did dance). Now that Im doing cheer though and havent danced in a while, getting my splits back would be AWESOME! Thank you for the awesome advice, I will be using it more than once a day for sure.

    so I started gymnastics a few months ago and I wanted to get my split. originally, I could only go half the amount I can now, and I’m super happy. just goes to show that hard work and dedication to something you like is worth it.

    I KNOW THE ACTUAL SECRET
    fill a bathtub with hot water and sit in it for 5-10 minutes. It relaxes and loosens your muscles making you go farther in the splits.

      I could totally see why you would think that would work but with my experience it doesn’t really help. Just being physically warm doesn’t mean your muscles are warm

    Can't believe got 80 percent of my splits just with following her along. Gonna Do it everyday. When at the last she said to stretch the leg back I thought it was also a stretch but to my surprise I got my splits. Thank you so so so much.

    ill update you guys on my progress!!
    day 1: tried to do my right splits which i lost, wasn't close(night)
    day 2: Very close to my right splits!!(night)
    day 3: I got it!! But unfortunately i can't hold it for to long without it hurting.( Morning and night)
    day 4: I feel so much more comfortable getting into my right splits compared to this morning. Definitely still hurts but i can hold it for a little longer! I can't wait for a week to go by!!( morning and night)

    Ima try this out I give u guys updates
    Day 1 : omg! I first tried the splits and it didn’t work then I remembered I forgot to do the stretches. Once I did I just did my split. It was amazing! I just need to learn how to hold it then I can start doing over splits and hand stands! U guys have to believe in ur self and not give up! Good luck! 🍀

      I was in gymnastics before. I still exercise, but I can’t do the stupid spits!!!!! 😭 I just need some support from someone. I don’t know how other people who are not in gymnastics can do the splits! 😭 I don’t know how to believe in myself. I get so frustrated!

If you want a few more stretches, I recommend another RUclipsr named Alivia D'Andrea. She is amazing too! But you can still achieve your goal with just these stretches.       iiNxgget i got my splits in a week! i was so terrible, couldn’t get anywhere near it. but i stretched and practiced everyday for a week, and i got it perfect! i’m been working on my left for a couple of weeks and it’s almost there. you can do this :)

      Honestly, what I suggest is just doing what I did, lay down in bed and then flip your foot of your head, so it is like a backwards splits. It works as that is what I did and I can do the splits. Lol

    Here is something I like to do which gets me stronger and gets me to do the splits:
    Split Push-ups!
    1. Go into splits as much as you can
    2. Put your right hand on floor beside the right side of your hip
    3. Put your left hand on floor beside the left side of your hip
    4. Lean Forward and do a push-up
    You should feel the stretch in your front leg.

    Thank you soooo much!!! You learn me the split!! I do that •2 so i learn it! First one round and some pauses with water at the end of every try! And then another round and i first try the split in my bed and got it and then on the flott and also got it! I learn the split when i was little and last that i Can it was like 4 years ago but now i Can it again! So thank you sooo much! Guys that try it! Can do it! BREAK a leg❤️

    A better way to endure the stretching is to actually know what happens to your body when you stretch so your mind doesn't count the pain as actual harm.

    This helped me sm im gonna keep updating everyday
    Day1: I tried all the stretches and i slipt down more than i was before but yet I didn't reach the full split
    Day2: I improved mire i got more close to the ground i think im gonna make it soon i hope
    Day3: today i was about to forget to practice but I rememberd at the last moment😅 soooo i improved a lot im so close to the ground this video helped me sm
    Im sry i forgot to update..
    Day 4: it kept improving
    And day 5 and 6 the same
    And i got the split on day 7!!
    So i just wanna tell you that it doesn't comes immediately be patient and practice everyday the more you practice the faster you will get it faster and never give up💞

    When she said in the caption 5 minutes, she didn't mean ur literally going to do it after 5 minutes, she meant the workout takes 5 minutes, she said that at the end too, ur not going to do the splits instantly, it may take a while for different kind of people so don't blame her if u did understand wrong. Just saying for anyone wondering

    I’ve found a trick.
    First you stretch your legs for 2 minutes.
    Then you have one knee up and the other down, you push the legs that is not up until you feel uncomfortable.
    Then you stay in that position for a while and stand back up.
    Do that again but make your legs go down farther then hold that position
    You want to keep doing that until you eventually do the splits.

    I will not be flexible. I stretch everyday and I'm not even flexible I tried to split I can't do it. Do you have some other tips?

      Yes, do stretch everyday but stretch to a point were the pain is durable so you won't suffer from sore muscles that prevent you from fully stretching the next day.
      Additional tip: relax your muscles as much as possible while attempting the splits and use your weight to push you down.

      Plus,make sure that your stretching routine really fit with your body condition instead of doing bunch of stretching exercises that going to only hurt your muscles.Try to google for this.

      It took me a year to get one split down. Just keep pushing throw and make sure when you stretch it hurt a little. Sore pain not sharp pain. And it's frustrating. It was really frustrating for me but you get better every day.
