Whats the one thing that you guys are having issues with learning? Whatever it is let me know down below so I can help you guys however I might be able to!
Scouting, what to look for, what are good signs...when to go out. I hunt on a green belt off of a large lake. We usually hunt a pretty large "pond". We hear shots all around us on private land... How to scout for other areas, what are good places to start, looking at google maps as a start?
What would be the appropriate amount of calling for the dirty dozen so where not sounding like two hundred on a pond and maybe how to determine where to set blinds up I know they land into the wind but is there any other way to set the spread up to come into a stationary blind?
Water Melon I learned Bird ID in the hunter safety course that is required to get a license. They also taught bird id while in flight. Did yours not teach that?
@@blacktailbowhunter0135 No mine did not and I took it in the San Joaquin delta lol. Every hunter there was for waterfowl too. The topic of always IDing your target came up, but not the how to. it would be near impossible to teach anyway without being able to have birds fly in on you
Tom Stark I feel like every state is different. Im from british columbia canada and everything you could possibly need to know is in the course. Even if your just getting a license to sheep hunt they still test you on waterfowl ID.
Hey what’s up Bobby guy! Love your videos bud! I’m a beginner from Alaska and I imagine the duck hunting is a bit easier up here since almost all my ducks are not even a year old yet but please keep the content coming I’m soaking up every bit. And I really hope RUclips doesn’t leave y’all out in the desert.
Great video. Thank you. I’m new to duck hunting so when the season gets here, I want to make as few mistakes as possible. Your videos are very helpful.
A video on decoy setups for rivers would be awesome. How to play the current? Close to the bank or farther out? Find a pocket or put them on out there? What if the current and the wind are against each other? Just a complete river video.
all_ontario_hunter I thought that might be contradictory though because most if not all of my public river spots are really shallow. Like mid thigh or lower most of the time. Mallards, blacks, and woods are most common.
I would like to see the jerk rig too, I really like your videos and learning a lot! I love the beginner videos and can you show a geese spread too please
I’d love to see a series on making a duck boat. I just bought a jon boat and a mud motor and I’d love to see some helpful tips on building it the right way the first time
I was wondering what was making the teal move. So I have a dove mojo, could I use that with a couple larger painted ducklike wings and a green piece of pvc to cover the head?
Ok. This video and the jerk rig I have killed my first mallard drake! But... weird question. With wind over a right to timber pond. Would you place the decoys into the wind as normal but shoot/sit on the cross wind if that was where you had to sit... or move to another spot?
Bobby when you coming to SD to hunt I want show you a good SD hunt this is my 3rd year hunting water fowl and we have epic hunts on the right days come visit us for early seasons in September
Matt Sayler Big Cypress waders are awesome. Especially for bigger guys. I'm in Ohio and got no problem with the negative number cold temps in them either. Nice and comfy too.
Carry a half dozen decoys with the keels cut off Leave the anchor tie off portion of the keel in place. The decoys will move all over with vert little or no wind
Do you ever do similar small spreads (12-18) decoys and use 2 Mojos? Is there such thing as too much movement in small spreads when it comes to spinning wing decoys?
Look into the new frogg togg grand refuge waders. I will be getting me a pair soon. They have a removable liner in them so it's like having a pair for early season and late season in one. Roger's sporting goods has a similar set as well for about the same price! Roger's 2 in 1 refuge 2.0. They both run about 230 to 270 depending on where you get them from.

BobbyGuyFilms what decoys to select for a beginner spread

How do you know when to call the shooting? I am still a beginner but I’m the most experienced out of my friends
What would be the appropriate amount of calling for the dirty dozen so where not sounding like two hundred on a pond and maybe how to determine where to set blinds up I know they land into the wind but is there any other way to set the spread up to come into a stationary blind?
Please do a diver decoy set up next
Do a video on identifying bird in the air
Water Melon I agree
Learn how to hunt you idiot, that’s how you identify bird species and differentiate between hen or Drake.
Water Melon I learned Bird ID in the hunter safety course that is required to get a license. They also taught bird id while in flight. Did yours not teach that?

Great Great Job Bobby, so true and accurate, simple is the best, that WIND is the key!!! Thank You, Alaska John

Hard being out in the cold wind, but I never understood how it could help. Thanks!
Love the how to videos
Thanks for the video! It is appreciated!
I was wondering what was making the teal move.
So I have a dove mojo, could I use that with a couple larger painted ducklike wings and a green piece of pvc to cover the head?
Could you do a similar video on how to set up for dove fields? Like where to, scouting a good spot, where to put dove decoys
Ok. This video and the jerk rig I have killed my first mallard drake! But... weird question. With wind over a right to timber pond. Would you place the decoys into the wind as normal but shoot/sit on the cross wind if that was where you had to sit... or move to another spot?
Do u have a video on pond choice we hunt alot of one to 2 acre private ponds
Show us how to make a jerk rod great vid Bobby
Bobby when you coming to SD to hunt I want show you a good SD hunt this is my 3rd year hunting water fowl and we have epic hunts on the right days come visit us for early seasons in September
When to scout and what to be looking for?
Do a video on how to spread decoys in lilipads
So you just keep 2 boxes of artillery shells in your garage for special occasions? Sweet I’m jealous
Yes I do! Gotta stock up
Jerk rigs over all motion decoys
great video Bobby. i never really used a kill hole and that was probably my problem most times. (rookie). would like to see homemade jerk rig
No-1 ever mentions not accidentally setting up facing the sun rise 😒 however great video for the other points mentioned.
What waders do you wear and what waders would you suggest for bigger guys ???
Matt Sayler Big Cypress waders are awesome. Especially for bigger guys. I'm in Ohio and got no problem with the negative number cold temps in them either. Nice and comfy too.
Are those two teal that where zig zaging motorized, some special decoy, or just normal teal decoys?
Is there ever such thing as too many duck decoys? Great vid bobby!
Jerk rig is better than a mojo all day everyday
Carry a half dozen decoys with the keels cut off Leave the anchor tie off portion of the keel in place. The decoys will move all over with vert little or no wind
Do you ever do similar small spreads (12-18) decoys and use 2 Mojos? Is there such thing as too much movement in small spreads when it comes to spinning wing decoys?
I NEEDS to see a homemade jerk rig....
Will do!!!!
Would be great to see how to make a great duck pond out of a normal pond.
When is wind a factor? 5mph or more? or even less than that? Do you just look at the wind forecast and go off that if its an almost unnoticed breeze?
Bobby will you be trying out the new Sitka waders ?
Not sure? I def won’t be paying 1000$ for em 👀
Look into the new frogg togg grand refuge waders. I will be getting me a pair soon. They have a removable liner in them so it's like having a pair for early season and late season in one. Solid👌
How do you go about scouting for ducks on public land? It’s a little intimidating going out not knowing what I’m doing !
How do you set up your spread if you have little to no wind??
More spread out with less wind
Bobby, have you ever used duck mojos in a field goose spread? Ive heard mixed opinions, do you have any experience?
Yessir! In white spreads when I lay in the decoys it works fantastic
Can you post any material about hunting woods ducks?
What brand of decoys do you use, and do you like flambeau decoys
Ok? But what if the wind changes? Do u reset them in the middle of your hunt? Or just keep them there?
Do you use a mojo late in the season? Sometimes i dont or i turn it off
Love to see a homemade jerk rig
How do you set up with no or very little wind
What brand of decoys do you use and why?
Is the movement in the spread important? This is my first year into it and idk if i wanna invest in a mojo but its probs worth it
How do you set up for wood duck?
Bobby, you ever thought of making an appearance in the podcast scene?
I’ve thought about it
Where would you place a floating mojo, in the same position as the lander?
Bobby first comment again. Like the vids
What to do if the wind switched up on you, move your spread and reposition?
Hey bobby I would really appreciate if you could do a homemade jerk rig video it would help out a lot thanks in advance
Is a Mallard MOJO good enough for all ducks?
Yes
You should challenge all the other RUclips duck hunting channels to a lip sync battle lol.
Have you got you side by side fixed.
Waders suck in 50 degree weather I can’t even imagine how bad it would be right now
Your not kidding lol miserable
Jerk rig lets go :D
We need a video on tuning calls. Please help me out
With goose hunting I was always told that the beaks of the decoys should always be facing into the wind. Is this true?
Could you do a more in depth calling video?
Can u put this in action now when y’all get a north wind, and show us how it works?
Do a jerk cord video!
So Bobby, are you saying that the ducks will land INTO the wind?!
thanks vid is great
Yo bobby creek hunting for ducks and geese
I'm a beginner can you show us how u set up a decoy spread with a blind
Ty Deterding this works with a blind to. It’s all the same decoy spread really
Would ever do a live video where us subscribers can chat with you on youtube
Yes,show how to do a jerk rig.
yeah can you do a homemade jerk rig ?
dude at -20 I hate to get in my waders and brake through Ice I'll take your temps any day.
Dose it matter how realistic a decoy looks?
I like to see a home made jerk rig it might help me out
Do a jerk rig and thanks for the video
Do u stay brand loyal when it comes to calls?
Dux calls all the way. Our goose and new duck calls will b available in August
