    This is very interesting stuff..... I intrigued to how your going to apply this knowledge 🤔👍🏼

      Thanks mate 😁 basically I need to get more fuel delivered in a controlled manner so rather than just increasing injector open time (duration) I want to increase nozzle jet size and number of holes but I also need to up the size of the plunger piston on the injector and that’s the difficult bit for TD5 injectors 😂 cheers 😁👍👍

    I all felt a 10p pulled better low down than 15p even with a 15 p decated.
    Very interesting video looking forward to when your beast is running

      Yea I’ve always noticed 10p even in standard form better low down than 15p in standard form, even though the maps are different the 10p injector will flow better both lowdown and high up 👍 thanks mate 😁 yea I can’t wait until it’s running too 👍👍 cheers

    I wonder if the Delphi parts/injectors are all similar parts used to make up an injector to suit and could the volume cc be increased thats what is really need more fuel being chucked in
    And thinking about it the 15p injectors must be saping more power from the engine to create the higher pressure ... absolutely great video and investigation thanks for sharing

      Thanks mate 😃👍 yea there a very similar nozzles in the Delphi catalog and to the specs I need but it’s knowing the true physical dimensions too that’s the problem as that’s what I need to know before I buy 😂 cheers 👍👍

    Interesting video as always Shane 👌 you know I’m as thick as mud mechanically really and after having a misfire on cylinder 3 of my streetka or 💩ka as we call it I changed everything I thought humanly possible after reading all the crap on line but no joy ! I decided to get a set of injectors £29 set of 4 (nice ) and job sorted I think I’m some kind of a super mechanic now 😂👍

      Ha ha cheers mate 😃👍👍 yea it’s surprising how many faults are injector related especially on petrol cars like your KA, well done for sussing it out mate, feels good when you get to the bottom of things yourself 😃 cheers 👍👍

    So the best combo is 15P head,cam and rocker arm and 10P injectors for maximum power on the Td5?

    • @CarJunkeez
      @CarJunkeez  8 дней назад

      Yes, and you can use 10p head or 15p head but it’s best to match the head to the pistons as original 15p pistons have the combustion chamber slightly offset due too the different angle of the injector in the head, whereas the 10p are central.
      You can use either rockershaft setup but the 15p rockers are slightly lighter and appear to be stronger due too there design. But yes use a 15p cam for the extra 1mm lift and 10p injectors with lash set correctly, that way you get more fuel delivery, but as in my videos there’s 2 different types of 10p injectors and one will deliver more fuel than the other 👍 cheers

      @@CarJunkeezit’s the Delphi version we need correct

    • @CarJunkeez
      @CarJunkeez  7 дней назад

      @@TheMachine4ever1 either of the 10p injectors will deliver more than the 15p but the BEBE2A000010 that has L071PBC nozzle will deliver slightly more than the BEBE2A00101 that has the L023PBC nozzle.
      I think the Lucas and Delphi branding is maybe different on some injectors due to the date they were manufactured as it’s the same company. 👍 cheers

      @@CarJunkeezok thanks but what about the atomisation of the fuel with the 10p? Wouldn’t it be less than the higher pressure 6 hole 15p injector?

    • @CarJunkeez
      @CarJunkeez  6 дней назад

      @@TheMachine4ever1yea your correct you do get better atomisation with the 15p nozzles hence better emissions and that’s why Land Rover did it too keep with EU3 requirements, but you can get more power from the 10p nozzles and mapping due to them being able to flow more fuel. 👍 cheers

    Aren’t the 10p Delphi and 15p Delphi strokes both the same so why would using a 10p injector in the 15p head and give more fuel delivery?

    • @CarJunkeez
      @CarJunkeez  7 дней назад

      It’s only the nozzle that’s making more fuel delivery if putting a 10p injector in replacement for a 15p injector in the 15p head and cam. Even though the 10p injectors only have 5 holes and 15p have 6 hole the diameter of the 10p are bigger, I know if you add all the diameter of all holes together you would expect the 15p injector to deliver more fuel because the sum of all hole diameters added are greater than the 10p as there’s only 5 holes on a 10p, but if you work out the area of the hole using π then add them together you will see the 10p is actually more overall area even with one less hole, this is the reason you get more fuel from the 10p injector with same settings on a 15p setup, also the 15p cam compresses the injector 1mm more than the 10p cam 👍 cheers

    There are 3 kinds of nozzles L071PBC L030PBC and L023PBC

      @CarJunkeez  2 месяца назад

      Thanks mate 😃 yea I’ve already found that information online too and have been looking through some catalogs and found some similar but bigger nozzles with the correct diameter that I need and correct spray angle but I’m not 100% sure on the physical dimensions as they are for a certain truck, I may have to buy a single one to try or there is a Chinese version for not a lot of money I could just try for size before buying Delphi 👍 thanks for your input mate it’s appreciated 😃👍 cheers
