Whats your opinion on the autos are they a strong unit i keep hearing people here in Australia say they have to replace theres around 200-300k i want to buy one and love the td5 myself such a underrated 4wd 👌🏻
If you read the td5 workshop manual it shows on the cam shaft has numbers that you line up to the head and it will have that cylinder on the highest point of the stroke instead of using a DTI gauge
Car will run just the injector codes are there for the factory tolerance of the spray pattern, the last digit does the idle trim but the td5 will run without programing the codes
Hi I really enjoy your channell thank you, can you tell me please on the rocker tightening sequence is it 13524 or just 1 from the front to the back one to 5. Regards Brendan
@@heritagesteel1976 The manual (1999 & 2002 MY Workshop Manual Supplement & Body Repair Manual) reads on p. 137 (section 12 camshaft, p. 12): 10P to 14P use Tpe A rocker arms ans shaft, 15P to 19P use Type B. Type B can be used on 10P to 14P as whole assembly. So this should be safe. It also reads that the adjusting screws have to be of the corresonding type. Turner advised me to try it with the old adjusters . Any objections? Do you have the possibility to compare old and new adjusters side by side? Section 12, p. 27 reads that the geometry of the contact between injector pushrod and rocker arm adjusting screwhas been modified from pre-EU3 to EU3 engines. If I used P10 injectors and pre-EU3 adjusters it should be safe, shouldn't it?
@@michaelkipperer7777 the adjusters are the same from what ive seen. Differences in geometry could be there but not noticeable to the naked eye. So yes I think you should be safe. But swapping parts is always a mixed feeling:) I know that
Thank you for explaining things and a great informative video much appreciated 👍
