    What are your thoughts on Terrell Owens declining the invitation to his Hall of Fame enshrinement?

      It shows exactly why teams kept trading him......terrible character and decision making. Let him stay home and take him off the Madden cover. He is doing exactly what children do when they dont their way....pout and stay home

      The NFL HOF committee used extra criteria not part of their own rules as justification for why he didn't get in earlier. Dan Fouts made that clear. They have no moral high ground here since they broke their own rules. Cris you being held out for was a crime. But imagine if they let it out they kept you out because of your drug history and not because they thought your play told them you weren't worth of getting in? T.O. would have less of a claim if the Hall did not make it clear they kept him out specifically because they didn't like him for things he did off the field. And your experience doesn't mean it should be the norn by which other players should wait. T.O's decision may be petty but so was the committee's reasoning.

      First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright Every man has to decide for himself what is important to him and stand on HIS OWN principles and ideas. Not the Hall's, not Chris Carter's, not the media's, not society's. HIS OWN. Just because all receivers except Rice had to wait doesn't mean its the right thing. "The Hall" are hypocrites. You all know that and have said as much yourselves. I respect T.O. even more now. It doesn't take the platform of the Hall for T.O. to express his love and gratitude for those who helped make his career possible. The Hall was wrong for their treatment of T.O.. His reaction was just that. A reaction. A sensible and justifiable one at that.

    I get why Cris Carter love his mom. I get it. But to pat your mom on the back for her “sacrifices” when she had 7 kids at under 30. What would have happened to Cris if he wasn’t blessed with the ability to play football? Your mom didn’t “sacrifice”. She raised you like she was supposed to. Mothers get all the credit if their kids turn out to be very successful, but none of the blame when their kids turn out to be bums and criminals and failures. Parents don’t need a pat on the back for doing what the supposed to do, as kids don’t ask to be here. They certainly don’t ask to be born into poverty.

    People keep saying “He could’ve changed how people see him.” Maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t care about how people see him. And honestly, if he feels that way, I can’t blame him. For years, so many people criticized him, slandered his name, and tried to paint a negative picture about who he is. So why should he, all of a sudden, go out of his way to try to prove anything to people who won’t like him one way or another? He said he chose to celebrate a different way. At the end of the day, that’s his choice, and he shouldn’t be shamed for it.

    Industry is going to protect industry. Terrell Owens is a Hall of Famer regardless of if you all vote them into the Hall of Fame a lot and I think that's a more important message. You should criticize an organization that treat athletes different because if the criteria has been achieved then why are the results delayed. I'm proud of Terrell Owens who is my second favorite athlete of all time. I've loved to watch him on the field but more importantly I love how he is his own man off the field and doesn't let Media critics influence him to protect an organization like that Hall of Fame that doesn't treat all athletes by the same Book of Rules.

    • @ClipsNoMalice
      @ClipsNoMalice 6 лет назад +8

      dee boi Can you even name the quarterbacks he had in Oakland? Can you name a runningback? The coach? That team was a joke & the laughingstock of the NFL. Randy was the only threat on offense & every single team knew it. Qb couldn’t even get him the ball, which is saying something bc all you had to do was throw it in his general vicinity. Add that to the fact that defenses would overload to his side of the field & you can see why his impact was so low on that team. In fact, for his whole career, Moss only had a really good quarterback for ONE season. That was Tom Brady & guess what happened? He shattered every single season record he could get his hands on. Now, imagine if he had a Tom Brady for 5 years. He would have the most yards, td’s, & probably receptions of anyone, ever. He really would be the GOAT

If it wasnt for his attitude he wouldnt have been as successful in football most likely. You know how long Em' had to wait for a grammy? As an entity theyve decided to punish the man. Listen to anyone that's played team sports into their adult hood and maybe we can even use high school as an example. They're all brainwashed lol. I don't know how any grown man can be told what to do day in and day out without being able to respond in the manner he sees fit if he feels like he's wronged. The voters were telling T.O. that he'll get in when we tell him he can get in. T.O. is saying to them I'm not going to hurt any longer and I'll take how I feel in my own hands. Is that really wrong? I've just never been of the opinion that I need to know others think I'm good at something when it's obvious I am. Hitchcock never won an Oscar for Best Director. The guy that dominated the movies for over 20 years. Why? Because they thought he was pretentious. At some point you have to stop allowing other people to control the narrative.

    Hey Chris Carter. If your mother lived a "horrific", younger life, it was nobody's fault but her own. Her being irresponsible isn't your fault and it definitely isn't Owen's fault. 2:04 you said she got kicked out, at 2:25 you slipped up and told the truth. She quit. And having 7 children you can't financially support by the time you're 25 are bad decisions. Fortunately, you made good decisions that awarded the ability to go get her masters. It wasn't just about them making TO wait. They were coming up with reasons why he shouldn't be in the HOF at all. Now they waive their hands like Moses and he's suppose to jump up like he's excited. They kept him out of the HOF out of spite, not his abilities on the field.

      Quan Bailey. Randy was more athletic but he didnt have the heart T.O. Had. As far as number Owens had more receptions and Moss only had 3 more TOUCHDOWNS. Its a wash.

    Michael Jordan speech was awesome, some ppl say he was bitter from being cut in high school but in the speech it was to show his competitive nature. He wanted to prove he should have not been cut. Jordan even thanked his rivals magic, Isaiah Thomas, pat Riley, to name a few. It was a great speech I thought for the NBA. Cris Carter speech is also moving and I strongly recommend any of u to watch it. It means the world to these guys who make it to the HOF and it seems TO just tossed it away like it's nothing.

      Michael Jordan was never cut in high school. Michael Jordan as a sophomore wanted to make varsity but he didn’t so he played jv and scored bunch of 40 point games

      Should’ve played a violin 🎻! TO was unjustly criticized and then they wanted to be able to give him some kind of last rights of spanking and have him come to them on blended knee. All true football fans know he is the best receiver ever (especially now that we know Rice cheated with the grip glue😁)! They need to have him in there or they become an obvious farce. He can handle them how he wants. All CC’s thanking mom stuff is good for CC but it doesn’t make the HOF establishment right.

      Jason U. You shouldnt how classless and cowardly you are to call an elder someones mother a hoe. Because you know if you said that to her sons you wouldn't like the consequences.

    Agreed with all of them. It’s the highest honor for a player, have some respect T.O. John Lynch still hasn’t been inducted yet, and that man was a game changer at safety. He ain’t complaining and neither should T.O.

    These guys articulated this perfectly. A 44 y/o man is so petty that he refuses to allow the guys who wanted him there and who fought for him to get there, he decides to NOT allow these people to celebrate his career with him. Mind-boggling. 44 years old. I'm around his age and have grown kids and GRANDKIDS. How rotten would my grandkids be if they saw their granddad acting like Terrell?
