Hiya Folks! After 2 years in the lands of death and shadow, grinding 80+ Renown levels, 4 FULL covenant stories, trudging through the Maw & Korthia dailies we finally draw this expansion to a close. This includes everything from Shadowlands Launch, Chains of Domination & Eternity's End, Sylvanas, Anduin & Jailer Raid Endings, Sylvanas' Punishment, as well as the 9.2.5 tie in to Dragonflight. Very tired. Very sleepy. Always dedicated to Molly, our inspiriation & one very tough woman, continuing to honor the Warcraft franchise through this channel even after multiple breast cancer surgeries.

These are not Arthas cinematics, Arthas died in Wrath of the Lich King. Bolvar fordragon took his throne.

I like how Sylvanas' punishment is to do the maw daily quests we've had to do all fucking expansion
An eternity of community service. And after everything Sylvanas did the last few expansions to avoid the maw. Oh the irony.
Especially as it seems if you were a Dwarf, Gnome, Goblin, Troll player? You were fuck out of luck to get any story updates yourself. Even if all of those had things shared storywise with this expansion. They just had to do the dailies. Time for them to start their own faction, the United species of unwanted. Best tech in the universe? Check! Best fighters in the universe? Check, best drunk in the universe? Check..... Best magic in the unverse? Check... list goes on and on really :P . they would rule Azeroth with a kind but gentle dictatorship :P. Dwaves, Trolls, Gnomes, Goblins reach out to each other more... time to start your beautiful Unison :) .

Always great to hear! Looking back now, 2 years of grinding renown, and leveling 4 characters through four unique covenants to get the whole story feels very exhausting. About as much as in BFA, where we needed 3, one alliance, one horde, one sylvanas loyalist to get the full story. If further interest, have also done compilation of TBC, Wrath, Cata and BFA as well if you’d like to take a trip to the past.
I stopped after Warcraft3 but I love the universe

While I stopped playing WoW after Cataclysm, it's nice to know what's going on with a cinematic recap story like this. The game still has a special place in me, the story and lore is fantastic...shame about the actual state of the game though.
You can try Ascension WOW, its a classless wow where you choose what build to use, awsome transmogs, WOTLK abilities, awsome devs that listen to the community! I Play games similar to WoW for 15 years and this is the first time I'm having so much fun
I’d say after Cataclysm, MoP and Legion were actually pretty fantastic. And well done. BFA had a great start as well but I think they threw too many storylines in there for one expansion.

Arthas willing to burn down a city to prevent more of his people get infected by the plague. He had no support. The Uther and Jaina both told him mad prince for committing atrocities and abandone him. He only had his captain as support morale (best elite footman).

If you dont know the expansion and the decline of blizzard as a company (quality and reputation), this excellent cut of each individual cinematic makes it so much more worth and appealing, its almost criminal!

@@MrLabo you wouldnt know as you dont play but the lore is god awful now. butchering old characters. completely retconning the entire game with new characters they made 5 mins ago at a meeting (the jailer, last boss of shadowlands). you are better off not paying attention to the lore because if you were to learn what happens in shadowlands xpac it would sour your taste overall for the lore. . its all been irreversibly ruined in shadowlands by their writing team. it is such a shame and the people that play the game for the lore are mostly long gone as theres barely any story told through the game. only the novels they release but like i said earlier they retconned all of them entirely so its hard to be invested at all besides for the gameplay itself

Loved the video as much as I loved playing World of Warcraft.
I binged 8 hours a day on BFA for two months to really try and believe the game was good. It was a fun binge. I was invited to a guild raid one day and said I need to go pee and I'll be on. I used the restroom and came back and logged off and never went back. Still good memories and two lifetime friends for over 11 years.

The beginning and the maw really seem like WOTLK, almost like they're writing the story the same but different. How deep into the void are we supposed to be going, its very layered it seems. There's the after-after-real-after life, hard to keep track lol. Love this

Thank you for making this, I've played the BFA and shadowlands expansions but the story was almost entirely backwards for me.
This is the best wow cinematic. I wish they could make it an animated series. It will be one of the top series of our generation.
I wish I could see all of this in its entirety at the beginning of the expansion. It's so high quality at the end I would rejoice in remembering each one scene as I unlock them. Edit: Usually skip them in game TBH.

This is probably the most random comment you will read about this... but @2:33:50 we see Bain has two bird skulls on his knees as he was asked about if he wanted to visit anyone in the afterlife. I immediately imagined two bird spirits flying up to Bain to ask 'wtf bro'.

@@diamondmetal3062 As of 2024, it's just 70 years after the author dies. The rights go until then. That will make it 2043 before it's in public domain. I think the Sindarin isn't really pushed as a copyright infringement (although the family can challenge it if they wish.)

It's absolutely amazing storytelling but tragic how much shit went left since Arthas turned Sylvanas into a Banshee during Wrath of the Lich King to Shadowlands
To join so many, thanks for the video. Really helps me resist any urge to play when I see the garbage that is the plot. Almost every character from the RTSes turned into a bad guy, killed, both, or shoved into obscurity.
The ultimate big bad, Sargeras somehow trivialized. Death, undeath, afterlife, death in the afterlife, undeath in the afterlife, death death in the afterlife, weird romances, revival of dead characters....
WoW reads now like some bizarre fanfic written by a middle schooler way back on launch day.
Watching this brings so much Nostalgia but also shows how Blizzard hard-failed with Sylvanas development. It was one of my favourite character but once she betrayed her valor, they had been shittelling her story..

I sorta wanted to stay on Azeroth after legion, maybe a more low intensity expansion or even an age of Revolution after the close to half-century of nothing but terrible, often unquestioned leadership leading to incredible disaster for both horde and alliance.
