Thanks for the tips. A little more advanced than I was looking for lol. I just started using this camera and have been having fun discovering all its abilities. It goes deep!
Well -good question . It ran in 4K for 1:55min, I'm not sure if the reason why it shut down was the battery exhausted itself I had a external battery but the internal goes down as well so the battery life died - I'm going to try it with the new power pack I got from Sony - where when hooked up does not even show a battery level it's just on 100% at all times -
@7:18 you mention the recording limit as 30 minutes. I know you posted this in 2016 but just wanted to say that there is a way to disable the record limit now and it's pretty easy and I use it all the time!
If you are getting a green cast from ND, it is likely not a very good ND. Not trying to be critical but there are plenty of ND filters that give almost no cast at all.
phalynx Okay, but what do you think about my comment where I said that adding any filter, or just extra glass in general, is going to negatively affect the sharpness of your lens.
That is correct. It will add something. It can be as little as .000001% change. There is a different side to think about though. When you add ND, you are able to shoot in the sweet spot of the lens. That sweet spot may be sharper than at f/16. So, it can work the other way as well.
All greek to me. Expected tips on camera settings for photographs not videos. Maybe in future if you are going to do hints again, you should say if you are primarily giving tips on video and not still photography.

I know this is old now, but thank you so much for this. I looked into it and got it sorted quick and easy. Makes a big difference for me.

Nothing beats that a7s low light ability!
@7s2 here!
Hey can we use two picture profiles in the same video.. For eg. Cine 4 and slog2??
you are supposed to bring slog footage back to rec709 first....that will remove green tint caused by the different color space.
Welcome back guys!
If all you had was a 90mm 2.8 macro prime, what would be your pick for next lens for video?
wide angle, with range. if you're on a crop sensor i would suggest an 18-35mm
I'm on a full frame... Sony A7ii. I was thinking perhaps either a 28mm or 35mm. Would like to stick to primes. I guess either would be good.
Good to see you back!
Tks good video - you should download the app that allows you to record past he 30min limit - it's amazing !
cool hows it handle overheating tho?
@FilmIn5D: No problem even after 2 hours.
the fact that you can’t even properly frame yourself in the video and expose your shot already tell me this video is going to be bad lol 😂
I shoot a 1hr 55min clip fine
