Don't look just at the average RMS numbers of the noise floor, because the noise floor of H6 for example contains more low end which raises the RMS, so it's not accurate in any way. Simply raise the volume of the noise floor and listen through some nice headphones. Nice video BTW!

The H6 can utilize the optional capsule, which allows two extra combo jack inputs.

Hey i'm interested in the F6 that finally been released a few days ago, Which recorder are you talking about here? 7:36
Am i mistaken but they seem to have removed the compressor feature settings off of the Zoom F series. Or atleast just the F6?
Manual does not have anything about compressor options, just a limiter.
That seems like a downgrade to remove that feature that they had in their older model H Series previously.
    Great work on the comparisons

You didn't specify the input level on the H6 so the noise floor gain could be anything.

Why not using two recorders and syncing the audio files? Would give you 18 channels right now.

Your method of measuring the sound floor is flawed.
The EIN of the H6 is -121dB while the H4N is -107dB.
Put a Fathead Triton on a H6 for a hungry mic and it will spank the F8n.
