    This is something I need! I’ve been bringing my laptop and using my DAW…it’s kind of a pain!
    Really enjoyed us jamming together!

    I stumbled across this video, as I am trying to capture better sound for my friends band. I'm a filmmaker/writer/etc.. I used the ZOOM 1, A sennheiser shotgun and two wireless mics to grab the sound at their last gig. It's pretty good... but you really, really helped me out today. My expertise is film, not Live Music... a totally different animal. Thank you for the no nonsense video. I like people who cut to the chase and don't spend hours explaining intricacies. Happy Holidays

    you're basically feeding our fellow musicians the secret recipe for a quality sound on a live setting. I learned some pointers in this video. sadly, these stuffs are boring to the people. they just wanna see short clips of people lip syncing a song in filtered video. keep it up Andres! this video you've made deserves more than 8000 views. 🤟

    Hey man, great video, is there any reason why you cannot just connect the rc505 directly to the Zoom 6. and also connect your guitar into the rc505 for looping and use a split cable to go directly into the zoom 6 simultaneously. The rc505 also does fx. Thanks

    im going from an H5 to an H6 essential and id like to know if you think this would be a good option and really the best way to connect it to the main board at a bigger show. but also sometimes the sound guys are asses and they dont let me do it at all. i assume not many people really know how one of those would do in a setting like that but i feel like its gonna make capturing audio way easier not worrying about levels

    So well done! I have done a similar thing using a Behringer XAir 18 to my laptop to get great audio for recording of live performances with as many as 16 separate tracks. The H6 fits perfectly into what you are doing. Finding the smallest and most perfect setup for a live nightly performance is akin to the search for the Holy Grail, and certainly seem to have found it!

    I record a lot of concerts. I record from the mixer and I use a separate recorder with a mic on the leading edge which records the audience and toe tapping and other instruments which are not necessarily going through the mixer. I also have shotguns on all my cameras, usually 3 sometimes 4.

    Love these kind of videos! And your live performances as well! Just curious, I noticed in some live performances you have a device (phone or tablet), that appears to have lyrics on it? Just curious which device you use and if there is an app that you use as well. Does it only do lyrics, or can you have chord progressions, etc. for songs you're not familiar with? Thanks!

    4:26 Do you bring the audio up or down on the fly via the H6 or post recording?

    • @mightyoakfilms23
      @mightyoakfilms23 11 месяцев назад

      I believe he tries to get the correct levels during the first song. then leave it and adjust in post as long as your levels aren't presenting above -12db you'll be good. If you get a Zoom 32 bit float recorder you'll have less worries but the H6 works great

    How do you make sure your sound is heard by the audience? I understand the sound le going IN the zoom h6. But what goes OUT to the speakers in the room?
    I don’t have a mixer. Can you use the zoom h6 as a mixer to go to the Speakers in the room? What output do you use?

    • @mightyoakfilms23
      @mightyoakfilms23 11 месяцев назад

      The set up he is describing is for audio recoding for use later in post editing, the sound the audience hears is the normal set up a band would use from their mixer to the speakers. Hope that helps a bit

      I’m asking myself the same thing, Rheinhardt Buhr does it as well like this and he said in one video that the sound goes into the Zoom and from the Zoom out to the speaker. It would be a big thing for me to find out.

    Hey but how do you get then the sound out of the Zoom H6 to the speaker ?

    • @andrescolintv
      @andrescolintv  9 месяцев назад +1

      The zoom has a line out and a headphones out. Either one can be plugged into a speaker but in my case, I connect everything to the mixer and from mixer to speaker. My pedalboard however comes out of my mixer using the “aux send out “so it can then go to the h6 to get recorded. Since my mixer doesn’t have enough aux send out ports, I have to split the mix signal into two with an xlr splitter cable so I can also take that signal into the h6 and get recorded on a separate channel. Hope that helps
