Thanks for the video. It contained the information I was looking for. When pulling out the heater core, i mistakenly removed the blend door actuator with the rod and wasn't sure how it supposed to align and go back in. Your video was clear on that so I really appreciate it.
Yep just viewed it. Not to bad, I like how you showed the rod. I was afraid to take it out when I did mine because I wasn't sure how easy it would be to put it back in. Watch out for posting on YT, it gets a little addictive if you like to teach and share your knowledge. The real pain in doing videos is the editing of a lot of footage. Keep my channel in mind I have a LOT of Caravan videos in a caravan playlist there. There's one that's helpful if you want to do your spark plugs, it teaches you how easy it is to remove the wiper assembly to gain easy access to the back of the motor. You can do the upper O2 sensor, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs etc. Well gotta go. Chat with you later Wayne. Best Wishes n Blessings. Keith
I have the same problem. But I bought the actuator and it did not come with that little piece that slips on the rod. What is that called? That part also has to be replaced because it turns the flap. I still need to find it. But I was able to flip the heat vent open by hand and wedged it open so I have heat now. So this still helped.
What one is for the drivers side.? There is 3 of them. Ours is blowing cold air on the drivers side and hot from the passenger side. Nice video it is helpful. I just need to figure out what one is for what.
I am replacing the blower motor in my 2003 caravan and was wondering what position the blend door has to be in before I put it all back together. I also was wondering how the actuator motor turns on to move the blend door. Is it determined by temperature? I assumed that it went on and off from a switch on the dash board.
A long shot but verify that you have the cover on for the cabin filter. If it's missing then you'll get tons of cold air blasting on the passenger side and it has nothing to do with the actuators.
