Long Range FPV drones are simply FPV drones with a receiver and antenna, as well as a GPS RESCUE unit. In addition the video transmitter in the drone will have plenty of power to pump out a long range video signal. As well, on the other end, the pilot needs to own a Transmitter with a long range and in addition, FPV Goggles with a long range. NOW... I'm gonna tell you something that you really need to keep in mind. In the FPV hobby the drones are crazy powerful and for that reason the motors suck up all the available power quickly which means, in order to fly long range you need to fly with a LI-ION battery, which then makes the drone more tame like your typical DJI Mavic type drone, but in exchange you get longer flight times.
What constitutes a long range quad? I’m looking for a good quad I can strap a GoPro to for solid cinematic footage. Isn’t 5 minutes considered relatively long range?
The functionality of the dead cat design definitely gets the props out of view but it was named after the pioneering design undertaken by Dutch artist Bart Jansen. Jansen used taxidermy to preserve his recently deceased cat before turning it into a fully functioning quad. No joke 😅

Depends where it comes from. If it comes from the US, then YES. If comes from CANADA to the US then YES. If it comes from CHINA to Canada or the USA then you only pay duty tax if a courier service is used. If it is shipped by post, there is rarely ever duty/customs taxes.
I’m guessing you live in the USA? This RUclips channel is international so most countries do not have REMOTE ID. I’m not familiar with your FAA regulations but I believe they state that if you fly anything unmanned remotely that weighs 250 grams or more, then you need remote ID.

I bought one of these because of this video, so thank you for that. I am having a problem where the drone will not take off, and the motors are spinning and they have good battery voltage. I don't know if I just have my props on the wrong way, or if it's something else. I would appreciate any help I could get.
If motors are spinning after you armed them, then your throttle control should function (left joystick) and if they spin up but no lift off then either you have a weak battery or the props are on incorrectly. Just watch the vid again and see how my props are on.
Captain Steve,
Great Video, and Great FPV Drone! How much does it cost?
Is the footage from gopro can be viewed in real time while flying?
Nope
Heh Cap. How do you get the speed dial on your video??
I use a GOPRO HERO 7 and then use the GOPRO QUIK software
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 nice cheers for that!! Loving the channel!!
Is there any import tax or duty tax for shipping it into US or Canada?
Depends where it comes from. If it comes from the US, then YES. If comes from CANADA to the US then YES. If it comes from CHINA to Canada or the USA then you only pay duty tax if a courier service is used. If it is shipped by post, there is rarely ever duty/customs taxes.
nw question , if i buy a 6s drone i can put a 4s battery also?
Yes, many do that.
This drone requires a remote ID , am I correct??
I’m guessing you live in the USA? This RUclips channel is international so most countries do not have REMOTE ID. I’m not familiar with your FAA regulations but I believe they state that if you fly anything unmanned remotely that weighs 250 grams or more, then you need remote ID.
@ YesI live in the US, thank you so much for replying 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 they are sellling me one of those for a real good price, I am thinking about it !!
i have one too... the bottom iflight logo glows orange when you are low on batttery.
I could not get it to do that for me. I ran the batteries down until the beeping commenced.
