Turns out the ethernet cable didn't work, but thankfully I managed to connect my 360 to my mobile hotspot. Didn't even know I could do that until today
I did tried doing that but it doesn’t work. However Ethernet cable does work tho. The problem with my cable is that it’s not that long enough and the cable goes from the router at the tv to my bedroom.
@user-nc6sf5gt4q it is way easier to do. You only have to plug in cable, and it works. You have to buy a special router, hook it up. Activate it before you can play. That's why people use cable.
Ok so I followed every step in the video and I have the network adapter connected but I have a newer wireless TMobile router so I’m not sure if maybe it is not WPA2 or why it still is not connecting. You can call your cable provider and see if they have a different wifi router that is compatible. I know for a fact that the wifi Hotspot on your phone will work. I hope you can get it working.

@JoeRetroWorld I'll try the wireless option you did first before buying LAN. I think what I did was what most people did, have xbox Auto, find it, and then put password in. And since modern routers have 4g and 5g, it can't think which to use. Please try this method to connect your Xbox 360 to Xbox live. To connect the Xbox 360 to a 5G network, open your system settings and scroll down to network settings. Run Test Xbox Live Connection, if you recieve error code 80004005 go ahead and sign out of the existing 360 account and download a different account from Xbox 360/One/Series X that has been serviced with Xbox Live( does not mean you need to be paying for Xbox live at that moment, just download an account that has had it before) once you downloaded your profile the system should be able to recognize and connect to Wifi now. This works with and without Ethernet cable/ Internet adapter attached to Xbox 360. LET ME KNOW IF THIS FIXED YOUR PROBLEM.

Call your provider and see they are send a 5g signal only. If so, then you will need a different router with a Older compatible signal. Some cell phones can create a Hotspot that is compatible with the xbox360.
Are you trying to hook up a old xbox360 or a xboxs? The name on back of your router is the name you put in the SSDI line. Then your password after on the next page.
You need to switch accounts. Make a whole new one and sign in on Microsoft account. Then use that account to sign in when prompted to by the xbox360 turning on. Hope this helps.
You can buy a different router and set it up or call your cable provider and ask if they have a compatible router. You can try the hotspot on your phone.
If you have a updated wifi router then most likely the xbox360 is not compatible with that signal. You can use your cell phone Hotspot at 2.4ghz to connect your xbox360 with a simple search of the phones Hotspot name.

You might have the old firmware. Try turning on the Hotspot of your cellphone and connecting to that.

Did your router change firmware to maybe only 5g network? After you do the test, back out and see if netflix works or simular app.

You need to call your cable provider and ask if they can setup a separate signal with the same router or if they can provide one free or low cost.

I did a updated video, some times you have to switch the security settings. Try your phone Hotspot, it allows for no password.

Ok, it will show failed. After performing this, just back out. Go and try Netflix or another app to see if you are, in fact, connected.

The wifi signal is not compatible with the xbox360 adapter. A special 2.4ghz router will work wireless.

Xbox live is down, but you can still navigate the internet. Try Netflix of a other app.

what does it mean when it says testing connection is gonna sign everyone out, is it going to sign every device out of the wifi network?
That's normal, it will sign them back in after testing. You don't have to worry about the other users not being signed in when switching users later.
It signs all other users you may have, so that the current user is the only one testing they internet settings and account.

Your router probably only puts out 5g network. You need a 4g router from your provider or you can use the hot spot on your phone.

I've tried that as well but my hotspot doesn't work
@@gearskingz1398 ok, my phone has 2 settings for wifi Hotspot. 5g and 2.4ghz for transmitting signal
You can still hook it up directly with a wire.
